Don't go at this place to extend your visa, they don't do nothing, just show you a computer to do the process online, and all the people who works here are very unfriendly !

ça ne sert à rien de se déplacer dans leur bureau car ils vous dirigent vers un ordinateur pour faire la procédure en ligne ! Il faut ajouter en pièces jointes la photocopie du passeport et du billet de sortie du territoire (scan). Et à noter que l'ensemble du personnel à été détestable ...

Below should say “small sticky note” explaining that the car is our exit. Additionally, save screen shots or print all emails from this extension process. When we went to extend TIP those emails from migración validated our TIP extension request. See TIP extension info on DIAN pin near airport.

We followed the steps for the online procedure. Added a small sty note to our TIP pdf stating that we will leave the country with this (in Spanish). Received link to pay fee in 24 hours. Paid by credit card. Received extension form within 24 hours. Printed it and we are here for another three months. Now off to DIAN to extend tip.

Did the online form with TIP and passports. The person viewing the case did not understand the temporary import for the car so refused the extension. Try again with a letter explaining that I have car to exit in and that’s the TIP!!!! Ya think!!!!!!

My passport has been robbed so I did a new one at French embassy (check the procedure on the other ioverlander location). When you received your new passport you need to go here to have a new stamp. You will not have 90 days again, just a stamp with the same arriving date that was on the original passport.

Do not leave without the stamp even if the guy at the reception told you that's impossible. I came first and he told me that I have to write myself a letter informing the migration that I lost my passport then come the migration to certify it. I did that and the following day I received a convocation to present my passport within 5 days to receive a new stamp. Hopefully we didn't leave Bogota!

VISA Extension is an online service now.

Go to http://www.migracioncolombia.gov.co

> Trámites > Permiso Temporal de Permanencia > Ingrese Aquí

Then you have the form you must fill out. Be sure to check "Permiso Temporal de Permanencia para Prorrogar Permanencia" and place the name of the city nearest to you. You fill the form and append a SINGLE PDF file containing both your passport first page (the one with your picture and info) and the DIAN TIP (as a proof your have means to exit the country.

A couple of days later you should get an invoice for the permit fee. You pay it at a bank and another couple of days later you should get the VISA extension to your email. Print it, or take it on your phone and your done.
