Description

Year round water hole. Sand road leads through the park to this spot. Zebra, Giraffe, Ostrich, Impala, Wildebeest. Best light photography-wise at sunset.

Surprised not to see elephant (lots of scat).

Latest Check-Ins

Nice waterhole, especially at sunset when the sun sets behind the animals and you can get very nice photos. Lots of elephant bulls in the evening, in the morning we saw just zebras and few jackals. The tracks north from here are a nice drive, sometimes a bit bushy. All roads were dry already now. But almost any of these tracks here will be challenging wallowing in the mud when it rains.

Report Check-In

We made a day trip here from Baines Baobabs and stopped for lunch at the waterhole. Lots of animals around the waterhole although virtually none elsewhere in the park at this time of the year. Tracks around Nxai Pan compact dirt, however they look as if they were a challenge in the rains! Area reminiscent of parts of the CKGR.
