Description

We paid 45 soles or $15 per night. Camped in parking lot. Very nice facilities. Amazing pool. 15 minutes walk to point surf break. Wind surfing / Kiting out front. We loved this place. Very very friendly owner Jenny.

Latest Check-Ins

We paid 76USD for a room. Honestly, it feels extremely expensive. There’s not much around and it probably is the best option in the area, but it should cost half what it is. It’s mainly a surfing destination, so I would only recommend it if you want to surf.

The guy wanted $30USD OR 100 soles just to camp (2 people in one van). We even asked if we ate at the restaurant to get a discount for simply parking for the night and using a toilet. Wouldn’t budge. What a joke. Didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Charged $15 USD for two people and two dogs to camp in the vehicles (didn’t technically ask about the dogs.) Access to bathrooms, but not shower/pool/etc. We just got in after dark but it has large, spacious grounds with a restaurant/bar and pizzeria. Not a bad splurge, plus it’s the closest spot to the wave!

We arrived and had a chat with the manager - they wanted 32 soles per person to camp there in our car! Insane prices! I really don’t think they want campers there and wouldn’t bother trying unless you were super into the location which is right near the beach. We got rooms at Los Faroles Hotel for 30 soles per person and they have a lovely garden you can camp in for 15 soles.

We opted to stay in town (at Hotel Mirador) for cheaper as rooms at El Faro are £70 per night. We used the pool and sunbeds for the day for 20 Soles each. Nice place with great views over bay and looks really well set up for surfing/windsurfing.

Hard to get here through narrow streets. Cost is $20 usd. Room is $60 usd. Place just ok. Great place to surf and for kiteboarding.... only reason to pay that price

Report Check-In

We wanted to stay there with our Camper for 1 Night. They asked for 30 US-Dollar! only for parking and wouldn't allow us any of the Hotel facilities. They don't want to have overlander anymore

Report Check-In

we arrived there when the owner Jaime just start his kite session
he welcomes us very kindly
I couldn't get in the parking because of the gravel up road
so we stay outside near the gate
I came to kite with an off wind
Jaime kindly send me a guy from his staff to help me to drop and land my kite.
very nice for surfing too
waves are very high at the faro point and ledium at the peer
very nice swimming pool and fast internet

Report Check-In

When we first came here the gatekeeper told us we couldn't stay here in the car and that a double room was 80 dollars. We ate in the restaurant and after talking to some people, we negotiated to pay 50 soles to stay in the parking lot. We did not feel very welcome here, and the staff were not very helpful.
