Lovely campground in the trees with hot showers & laundry if needed.
This campsite allows for open fires compared to the base camp down the road which didn’t but you’ll have to pay an additional fee of $7 cash if you would like to have one.
The unserviced spot for the night was $33. You pay for the spot and not per person which is ideal and reasonably priced!
Make sure you have a national park permit which you can buy by entering the park or at the campground desk.
No WiFi and very limited cell service (if any).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Place was very wet when we arrived and so was the firewood. Site 80 had almost a small spring running around the fire pit so I would not recommend it. But the showers were new and hot. I really had no other issues.
Report Check-InTook service site #129 ; needed to charge batteries etc. what a mistake. Imagine a dystopian end of world movie and multiple that by three. Campers are squeezed together. Sardines in a can have more space. Park charged us for firewood wether you want it or not. No choice because they are trying to get rid of trees in aftermath of hurricane. With everyone squeezed so tight, the resulting smoke was unbearable. In summary: Avoid the serviced area.
Report Check-InServiced sites have zero privacy. Looks like a parking lot on grass, which is unusual in a federal park. Go for unserviced sites if your equipment is small enough or avoid it completely. Bad experience.
Report Check-InLarge Campground. There are sites with eletricity, all in a row with less privacy and a lot of sites with good privacy in the shady forest without service.
Report Check-InNice campground with many unserviced sites for tents or vans which offer some privacy. Dump on site. Clean toilets with hot showers. Dry wood at the reception.
Report Check-InTypical NS Campground - lots of children and dog (sometimes noisy). Good showers! Nice private campspots. We felt comfortable here. Wifi only at the entrance.
Report Check-InNational Park Campground with decent sites. arrived with no reservation and didn't have an issue getting a spot. Awesome new mountain bike trail near the camp called Goose River trail, hard technical climb, but really unique. showers are warm enough. campsites have good fire pits.
Report Check-InAs reported, nice place! Mostly tents and smaller RVs. In spite of 160+ sites (mostly occupied), relatively quiet at night. No wifi anywhere (only at visitors center at entrance of park ca 10 km back), almost no cell phone reception. I did not have to pay a park entrance ticket, due to late arrival ca 8 pm) if I left the park before 11 am.

Unserviced spot for the night was $20.50, you pay for the spot and not per person which is ideal and reasonably priced! Have to make sure you have a national park permit which you can buy entering the park or at the campground desk.
