Description

Before the trail begins (usage: hiking, mountain biking, horses) there is a round-about with a pit toilet. Super quiet spot overlooking Flathead Lake (no views of lake from parking/sleeping area). No official camp ring or picnic tables . I’d say room enough for 4 campers.
If you walk or bike the fire trail or the single track there are amazing views.

Nice spot, a couple level spots from what I can see. One other camper there on a Saturday night. Road not too bad, made it pretty easily with awd van, dry conditions helped. ATT 78mbps download, pit toilet an additional bonus

Nice place at trailhead.
Not sure it is for camping but no signs telling you otherwise.
Hike the trail for 10mins and get amazing views of flathead lake.
The trail network is beautiful with the fall colours. Perfect for biking, running or just hiking.

We drove half way but road was bad and place 1/4 mile was occupied. So we park a bit down on side road. Enough space for our 25 ft

WOULDN’T SUGGEST STAYING HERE IF YOU DON’T HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE!
RV’s or heavy campers won’t make it up. On the side of a cliff, very hilly, washed out, muddy. We also got stuck a few times in our van, decided not to stay the night. Would be a quite spot if you are safely able to get up and down. AAA won’t come get you if you are stuck on this road.

We are in a 27’ and got about 1/4 mile up the dirt portion of the road and pulled over as it was quite narrow and pitted. Rode the bicycle to scout. Would not recommend going to the trailhead at the top for larger rigs but found a parking pull out and a gated pull out about half way up perfect for us and they have better views.
I advise that if you are longer than 25’, scout it out to make sure you’re comfortable with the terrain.

Great spot! Quiet. Dirt road to get here is not too bad and we were able to climb it with 2WD. Clean pit toilet. Mediocre Verizon service. We didn't really see any amazing views as other commenters said, maybe the summer growth is blocking it. The loop trail nearby is 8.9 miles. Great place to walk your dog. We saw a few deer and saw quite a few places where large animals bed down so be bear aware. Carry bear spray if you go walking and keep food contained in a hard-sided vehicle. Gets busy starting around 8 AM and a lot of people come to hike and bike.

3.5 miles up a dirt road, our RV made it (23ft) without 4x4. Nobody was here, very quiet and saw 3 deer on the way up.

(Found a set of 3 keys on the nearby trail - left it on the board/sign at the trailhead)

Good spot! Easy road to get up in our 2004 sprinter. Very quiet at night.

I camped at a pullout by a locked gate, less than half a mile back downhill from the trailhead (someone else was already camped there). Honestly better views of the lake from here! And I had strong AT&T service.

Report Check-In

Narrow road with many pot holes and gradual incline. Made it up easily in our 2WD van. There is parking at the gravel round-about infront of the pit toilet. Could fit approximately 6-8cars Not the most flat parking, but for one night it wasn’t too bad, Stayed here one night and would come back. In the morning we took the trailhead with our dog and had a wonderful view of the lake.
No water, no trashcans, great service for Verizon and T-Mobile (shocking, I know)

Report Check-In

Rough, narrow, and fairly steep gravel road up to o the trailhead. We made it in our 28' Class A. Surprised that we had a weak but useable T-Mobile signal up here!

We stayed here last night. Very quiet. We have a large overlander and the road was ok, if a minor challenge 😊 toilets nice and clean. Cold, -6 at night. But hey 😉

Report Check-In

epic view of the lake, very peaceful, and even has cell service.

Quiet trail head to sleep at; easy drive up the dirt road
