Description

Corrected the listing to East Walker Ranch. It's a dirt parking lot at some trail heads. Very nice and quiet. It sits above a 2 lane mountain road. You can hear the intermittent cars pass by.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice place for a hike but overnight stays aren’t allowed in this area. The ranger came and threatened with big fines for staying past sunset. She was friendly, but still.

Report Check-In

Just as described below. A few people came in after midnight to hang out on a Thursday night but overall not a bad spot. Rattlesnakes around the perimeter. Barely any noise from the road. Garbage can and lots of trails all around. We had better Verizon than ATT. Not able to stream to get internet from a hotspot. We are in a 27ft skoolie. Lots of room.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Quiet and peaceful. Wonderful hiking trails.

Report Check-In

Signs at trailhead say that access is from sunrise to sunset. Doesn’t exactly say you can’t use the parking lot at night but it’s implied. Saw two sheriff vehicles in the lot mid-day.

Report Check-In

Great spot, fairly level. Verizon and ATT service was ok.

Report Check-In

Easy to find, quiet! We were alone. Some cars passing by at night

Report Check-In

This location is actually called East Walker Ranch. It's a dirt parking lot at some trail heads. It's nice and empty this Tuesday night. I corrected the name on the listing and the info. It may take a couple no of weeks to process the new info. I think the original poster got this site confused with the Thousand Trails Campground nearby. This is dry camping.

Report Check-In

Large park with many sites. Mountainous desert. Great staff. Lots of activities for kids. Pet areas. Hot showers. Laundry facilities (though the hot water is not on for these). 2 pools. Pool tables. Snack bar. Store (currently closed for repairs). Having said all this, the park has been neglected for a long time so expect some problems if you stay for a couple of weeks, such as power off, water shut off, etc as they work on things. Town is close by with basic amenities.

Report Check-In

Campground in the middle of the mountains with a small town next to it.
