Peru
This property houses many rescued dogs from this region and Lima. The coordinator, Yamile would love short term and long term volunteers. Or just drop by with a bag of Ricosan dog food or other donation and park for the night. Please contact first to be sure she is there. She speaks Spanish and some English.
Do you like to walk dogs? Can you take photos and update social media? Basic construction skills? Pick up poop? Wash dogs? Paint? Whatever you can offer will be helpful. In trade there is free parking with some very basic services. Give an hour, give a day, give a week! This tiny village is dusty and peaceful. There are a few small tiendas, come prepared. Easy drive to a few archeological sites.
Please contact Yamile in advance to confirm dates. WhatsApp +51 991 676 873 or Facebook “Hogar de Tiwi”. If you go, please post an entry for others to learn from!
