Description

Great Camping with lots of trees in Colonia Suiza with very good facilities and a very helpful and nice host. We enjoyed a very comfortable living room, good WiFi and fully equipped out- and indoor kitchen. There is an easy bus connection to Bariloche. They have also several cabanas and little stores and restaurants nearby.

5.000 pp end of December 2023

Nice camping and ok for Big Rig. Ana is very very friendly and helpful. Hot shower basic. Wc clean. Very good and cheap option en Colombia suiza and bariloche. The bus is at 5 min walk. Don’t forget to anticipated and buy your bus card in center of Bariloche. We paid 6000 per adult and kids was free.

Report Check-In

incredible place to stay. Ana the host is such a nice person and greats you so friendly and nicely. place has hot water, shower, two great shared spaces to cook and dine. price is ok and it's right beside de Colonia Suiza market stands and artesanias. Also very close to Circuito Chico and Patagonia brewery. I greatly recommend this campground.

Report Check-In

Camping with fully equipped kitchen, eating area, quincho, benches and power outlets on site. Hot showers with good pression and toilets with toilet paper.
Ana the owner is very friendly and extremely helpful! You can feel the love she puts into the camping!
Definitely recommend this place when coming to Colonia Suiza.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground, kind owner! There's a beach at walking distance and the town is very close by. We paid $10.000 ARS per night for two people in a van (in cash). Would recommend!!

Report Check-In

If you are a backpacker, this is the place. If you are in a van like us…it is crowded, spots are really close together, and in the shade. The showers were hot’ish, and toilets plentiful with toilet paper. Potable water to fill our tank. Close to the tourist trap town and the beach. Fine for one night.

Report Check-In

Amazing camp ground with many amenities. It was super close to just about everything like the downtown area with many cute shops and restaurants and also right next to the beach. The campground itself was very beautiful and filled with trees for shade and flowers. They had many tent spots and several RV/camper spots available. The bathrooms were always clean and showers hot. For 2 people in a camper van we paided $12000 ARS per night.

Report Check-In

Now in high season the price a night is 5'000$/person.
The caming Ser will be fully booked and closed from the 2nd untill the 16th of january 2024.

Report Check-In

This place is brilliant and is open for camping in all types of vehicles and tents. The lady mentioned that she will be closing from the 2nd to the 16th of Jan 2024 for holidays but she will be open as usual until then and from then on.

The price is 6,000 arp per person.

Excellent place

Very friendly owner. The campground is close to the center and there is a lot of space.
Hot shower, toilet, electricity, drinkable water and a common area to cook. Great !
We could let our van here while we went for a hike like that we were sure the van was safe

Report Check-In

Local tranquilo e com ótima infraestrutura. Conta com banheiros, ducha quente, água potável, cozinha e energia. Pagamos 2000 pesos por pessoa.

Report Check-In

beautifull campground under the trees. Owner super friendly and commun area like in the alpes. Recommanded. 2000pp

Report Check-In

easy in and out to the highway so you don't have to drive through the small town to get here. I checked out the other 2 campgrounds and this was by far the best, and the cheapest. the one close to the lake wanted 14000 a night! only 2000pppn, no extra for the car. no size restrictions. all "casa rodante" spots are 100% in the shade, but most spots could plug in. dog friendly but there are a few giant schnauzers here that are friendly but aren't fixed. the mold in the shower was frightening, buuuut unlimited hot water all day (even in the sink) so I guess that balances out. horribly slow wifi.

Report Check-In

good place, quite full now, but good facilities and very friendly owners, 2.000 pp

Report Check-In

Very nice campingsite close to the lake. Anna the owner is very kind. There is also a communal kitchen you can use. Hot showers. Colonia Suiza great place to visit, lots of foodstalls. 2000 pp. Easy to visit Bariloche with the bus.

Report Check-In

very nice camping! good facilities. The onwer is very nice! we stayed here 6 nights.

Report Check-In

the best camping we had on our trip till now. verry clean toilets and showers. well equipped kitchen available. very kindly host Ana.

you will not regret your stay here!

Report Check-In

As the previous comment suggested we rang the bell and Ana and her dogs came to greet us. She welcomed us to spend the night for free in the camping because it’s still closed. We could use the common area and the bathrooms (only cold water when we were there, maybe because it’s still closed). We spent a calm night and got to walk around the Colonia Suiza and to the lake without worrying about the car. She said to never park and leave the car on the streets of Bariloche. It’s better to park on private property or secured parkings because robbers target overlanders. The camping will officially open on 14th of January.

Report Check-In

Lovely place in the heart of Colonia Suiza! Very kind host and her dogs. Camping has grassy and sandy places between the trees. Some stuff to play and benches scattered over the property (not per spot). Cosy communial area with indoor and outdoor kitchen and a fridge. Sanitary was great, plenty, clean and inside the building (where you can sleep on the second floor). Also saw a lot of nice cabanas around. Situated close to the lake and trek to Cerro Goye.

She even let us stay for free, although the camping was still closed before the season. There also were some others, so just swing the bell and see is she is home if you want to stay (we also mentioned Overlander, not sure if that helped.

Report Check-In

Camping closed since the 17th of April 2022.

Report Check-In

Very friendly place. Paid 800pp incl our camper. Common kitchen / dining area came in handy when temperatures dropped outside. Bathrooms could use some improvements but were clean. There is a bus from/to Bariloche several times a day. Local restaurants close at 1900 so if you want to eat out, do it for lunch.

Report Check-In

As described except chaotically busy and way over capacity while we were there in Jan/2022. As noted the owner was super friendly and very helpful, however the high season premium prices must’ve kicked in because we were charged 800 per person for the two of us which included our camper. The staff were hopeful as well but were really struggling to keep up with the cleaning and garbage removal as there were just so many people there.

Report Check-In

This campsite is great. And the really adorable owner and will help you without hesitation. We forgot the keys of the Van in the van and spent an hour with us helped. You are close to the Laguna Negra Trek and you can leave your vehicle home to avoid being stolen. We paid 500PP at night and no charge for the van. The shower was hot and clean. I highly recommend

Report Check-In

Camping as described. I have to make a special thanks to Ana, the host. She treated us very well. thanks thanks thanks 😘

Report Check-In

Good camping, with wifi, potable water and hot showers. Very close the center of the village.

300 per person/night. No charge for the MH.

Report Check-In

Lovely campsite for vehicles and tents. 300pppn. Not too busy on our trip, everyone had plenty of space. Safe and quiet, Wi-Fi pretty good for working if you go inside the dining room. We were able to borrow the SUBE card to ride the bus into town and travel the circuit while leaving vans at the campsite. Great option for Bariloche!

Report Check-In

The host is very welcoming and friendly, the showers are good (hot and good pressure) and the village is fun. Unfortunately when we were there it was very busy with lots of tents all very close together. Almost all the tents were on very dusty dirt so after two nights our tent and every item in it was covered in dust.

I don’t think I’d stay there again as I prefer somewhere a bit quieter.

Report Check-In

Ana is a really nice and helpful person! We had two quiet nights.
You can go by bus no.10 to Bariloche. I attach a picture of the schedule. One way was Arg$ 35, but you need a SUBE card. Ana offered us one, but we had a card from Buenos Aires (SUBE card works all over Argentina).
Camping is now Arg$ 300/person/night, motorhome is free.

cordialidad y buenas instalaciones: WiFi y todo para hacer de tu estadía tu casa..

Report Check-In

We spent Christmas at Anna’s campground where we met up with friends. There were plenty other Overlanders there in addition to hikers, bikers and families in the cabins. The kitchen and communal room was very cozy and warm, much appreciated on these unusual cold nights. Anna went out of her way to welcome everyone to the celebration on Christmas Eve.
We all had a great time, bathrooms and showers were clean. Paid 400 pesos for 2 people in a truck camper.

Report Check-In

Very good camping, cheap (400 pesos for 2 persons with a campervan, for one night). Good for dogs too. The women is very friendly. Hot showers with good pressure.
I recommend this !

Report Check-In

I was stayed in camping ser for two weeks because the first week i have fever and flu. Anna is really a nice person offered me cabanas for free because she saw me sick and it was a bit cold that time with raining sometimes. But i refused it because i feel comfortable to accept it and i was ok inside my tent . For the tent, it just 200peso in December 2019. Have everything there, complete kitchen, clean toilet with toilet papers, hot shower , bbq places. This campsite cover with trees everywhere. Less than 5mins walking to the beach, the village kiosk(centrals), and the only one groceries shop in this village... you can park your car or campervan for free if you plan to go somewhere. And i came here with motorbike .

Report Check-In

Spent 3 Nights here since Bariloche seemed to be an unsafe place to wild camp. Ana is a lovely host who also recommended us to leave the car at the campsite while hiking because of car break-in. Enough hot showers for everybody and a big kitchen to use!

Report Check-In

Nice campsite. Big water for hot shower and big fire of stove in Kitchen. There is also have Argentina BBQ equipment the size looks a shop^^Nice stay. 200 peso per person for camp in car.

Friendly owner! 200 pesos p/p. Quite busy and everything is a little tired and dirty. Showers hot and WiFi fast but we are not staying another night.

Report Check-In

As described, nice camping with friendly staff. Argentinian facilities..

Report Check-In

Friendly place, shade, good indoor and sheltered outdoor common areas. The owner had a bbq feast with some returning overlanders/guests and we were invited as well. Had a great time meeting others this way.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite with lovely owner. Lots of shady places for tents and small rigs. Big and well equiped kitchen and common room. Decent WiFi.
Lots of school classes seem to camp here regularly. Because of this, Anna let us stay for free.
Toilets and showers were not fantastic but ok.
Keep in mind, off the season EVERYTHING in Colonia Suiza closes at 7PM!

Report Check-In

very very good place, quiet and safe.
nice town, in weekends with "feria " food and beer.
ana is very friendly, in this moment the camping is officially close, but she leave us to stay for free 😍😍😍

Report Check-In

Nice Campground. Very charming owner. Enjoied our stay.

Report Check-In

Beautiful camping as everyone has said, and Anna was super friendly! Lovely location too, just a short drive into town. we arrived for two days of rain intending to camp, but 2 beds in a heated cabin (all to ourselves as it's low season & a Monday/Tuesday) only cost 200 pesos, as opposed to the 150 for camping. Excellent deal for us!

Report Check-In

Familiar, agua caliente, cocina bien provista, baños y duchas, comedor, wi-fi / Familiar environment, hot water, well prepared kitchen, bathrooms, shower, lunch room, wi-fi

Report Check-In

Very nice camping! We stayed here for three nights. Ana is just the best host and cares a lot.
Good showers and bathrooms. Wifi is pretty slow, but it could be worse.
There is a kitchen and a common room you can use.
There is a lot of shadow from the trees. If you need sun for your solar panels, like we did, it‘s a bit difficult.

Report Check-In

As mentioned the lady running this place is lovely. Price was 125pp but that was with negotiation & mentioning iOverlander.

in the high season this place is really busy and dusty. we stayed for one night because we arrived late and had to but there's not much going for it. Maybe in the off season it's nicer.

Report Check-In

The place is packed on a February Sunday. Outside people are stepping on each other's feet because of the feria. We met the host and she offers us a place for the camper and our family of four for 300 peso. She is very friendly. It is a really pretty place with all the facilities described. The ground is dusty but the rest is nice. On the outside of the camping there are 'for sale' signs. Super close to a crowded beach. Had a quiet night and a peaceful morning. Met some german overlander here.

What a wonderful stay! We spent Christmas and New Years here with a bunch of other overlanders and it was hard to leave. Ana welcomed us in like family and we had an amazing time using the parilla and sampling local cuisine. Hot showers, strong wifi, multiple kitchens, heated indoor space, power (with extension cord), situated steps away from charming Colonia Suiza -- what else can you ask for? $125pp, cheapest we found in the area. Check it out if you're looking for something close to Bariloche!

Report Check-In

Lovely camping place. Agree on previous comments on kindness and hospitality !! We paid 200 peso's for a family with 2 adults and 3 children.

Report Check-In

In our opinion this is the best campground for your money near Bariloche. Super friendly owner. Ana is very attentive and helpful. Camping prices vary depending on the season. We pay 140 per person during low season. No charge for vehicles. Hot showers. Average speed internet. Big kitchen, large dining/hangout area. Parrilla pits and outside cooking shack. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Such a lovely stay - and the incredibly friendly owner (Anna) certainly enhanced the whole experience. Plus it was quiet, the showers are HOT and strong, WiFi works well near the main building (this campground also seems to be the only one in the area that even has WiFi), there’s electricity, shade, and the only other people there were staying in cabins. Good spot to base yourself for all the hikes in the area, too.

Report Check-In

Closed, Looks like the compound is for sale. Maybe just to early in the season.

Report Check-In

Lovely place. We rolled in just as a three day snowstorm had started, hoping to find a campground open and some power and hot showers. Anna welcomed us with open arms even though she was officially closed. And she told us right away that it would be free. Perfect spot for us in this cute little village during these cold days. Never ever ever in two years from Canada to Patagonia did any owner of a campground tell us to stay as long as we like without having to pay. Recommended. P.S. No problems for us entering and leaving the town, we are 5 tons and 6m long. Both bridges go until 10 and 21 tons

Report Check-In

still all good, paid 100 pp, stayed 3 nights

Report Check-In

No problem to access the camping by both roads with a 7m, 4t+ motorhome.

Report Check-In

Nice camping with friendly owner and her three dogs. Clean toilets and hot shower. You can use the big indoor kitchen (incl pots ans and pans) and sit inside. There is also a outdoor kitchen. Recommended!

Report Check-In

Nice campground in Colonial Suiza and friendly owners. There is potable water, a kitchen, hot showers and loads of trees. The neighbor house has a laundry service. Just ask the owner for direction.

Report Check-In

Anna the owner is very kind. A lovely place to stay . All facilities. We recommend !

Report Check-In

At the moment 130 pesos and it takes 1,5 hours and two buses to go in the center.
BUT Anna is indeed very friendly.

Report Check-In

As everyone else said - lovely campground with lots of shade. Not too much space for campervans though. Mainly tents around. Wifi is pretty much non existent once there are a few people using it (9am onwards). It's now 120pp and no charge for the camper.

Report Check-In

Relaxing, quiet, nice, lovely. We love this place.
Campingowner Anna is verry kind.
Top Wifi. Verry good Toillets and Douche. And a lot of shade.
Have been here for a Week :-)

Report Check-In

Wonderful place. Unfortunately it's mostly used for large children's groups (mostly primary school age) who stay up late, so not tranquil although the kids were very well behaved. Only room for 2 small vans realistically. Access for heavy vehicles (over 10 tonnes) probably difficult as rickety wooden bridges on both roads into the village and low branches. However the bridge at ? the eastern end says 21 tonnes. There's a lovely pebble beach beside the lake a few minutes down a path which is just opposite the entrance and there are great walks nearby. Also the best chips & cakes at stalls at the little craft village on the same side of the road as the camp a few minutes up the road by the shops. These may only be open on Sundays and Wednesdays. The delightful manager, Ana, wouldn't charge us as there were so many groups here. (We paid anyway.)

Report Check-In

Great and peaceful Camping at Colonia Suiza. The Colonia Suiza is wonderful place and there is a fair with handmade products produced directly from locals. Camping is secure and Directly next to the policestation. Bus station Nr. 10 to Bariloche is next to the Camping. There are some tracks to walk and it's near to Llao Llao. Ana was the best host we ever had here in Southamerica. She helped us with everything and gave us a lot of information. There is a great kitchen, good warm showers and a Camping with trees. Wifi works good all over and is fast.

Report Check-In

Open during low season! Anna is very hospitable, she offered us to stay for free and let us cook and eat in the house just because she had a couple of school groups camping. They didn't bother us so we paid nevertheless.

Report Check-In

Great place, very nice and helpful owner!

Report Check-In

The price is now 90 pesos per person, no charge for vehicle. Everything works great. However, when it is windy, the dust in the camping area is horrible. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Report Check-In

Charged 90pP high season prices. It's basically a medium size pine tree lot lined by strange little cabañas and a large building with kitchen, eating/computer room, and bathrooms. Wifi was decent. Good hot showers. Bathrooms with toilet paper. I believe they have laundry service, on top of simple hand washing stations. There are bbq places. Lots of tents dispersed all over and full of backpackers. The place isn't very pretty but fairly comfortable. There are no assigned spaces and it was a little chaotic. The owner is very welcoming though which makes up for a lot. They have two or three male dogs but were ok with more pets. Stayed two nights.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground in Colonia Suiza village. Good price and good facilities. Friendly hosts. Could leave our car there overnight during our mountain hike. Walking distance there are some restaurants and touristic stuff, but nice atmosphere.

Report Check-In

Welcomed us with open arms. Very Pet friendly. Can we pay with Chileanos? Sure no problem. Super friendly and nice place. Hot hot showers. Free electric hook up, free potable water. Even lent us her bus pass to get to downtown. She charged us 50 ARG per person. Stayed for 4 days. Very recommend

Report Check-In

Perfect place to recharge the batteries (literally and figuratively). Good WiFi and power available. We stayed for free as there were many chicos staying and Ana was concerned that the noise would bother us. Great kitchen area with gas cookers. Potable water available. Usually 60 per person.
