Something not right?

Description

At the Harbour. Gravel parking lot of the Island Queen Cruise. Overnight is permitted by this company, costs 10 $. Night between 11 p.m and 6 a.m was very quiet. There were noisy freight trains at 11 p.m and 6 a.m. It's a nice place. There is a sign about the overnight parking rule - photo enclosed.

Paid $20 for a Wednesday night. Need to park along the tree line but nice view of the marina and water. There is a great little coffee shop that opens at 0800. Walking distance from town, and several restaurants in the vicinity. Very quiet sleep. Couple of freight trains rolling through but that's just Parry Sound life as the train runs right through town on the trestle bridge. Very soothing, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find a spot along this stretch of the TransCanada without hearing trains. Hung around into midday and no one bothered me. Cross the street to see an excellent sunset behind the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. You have to pay before the cruise ticket office closes at 5pm. Felt very safe. Trestle Brewing around the corner is on Harvest Host and also an excellent option. Don't forget to visit Legend Spirits for a delicious cocktail.

I was going to stop here, but it is now $30. I'm not paying $30 to stay in a wide open gravel lot. Stayed at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.

Description of place in other posts is correct but price is now $30/night. Still great for walking and downtown access. Viking cruise ship was in port but not busy at all.

As described in earlier posts. You have to park on the gravel lot near the tree line.

Pour 10$ nous avons pu passer la nuit sur le grand parking de la compagnie de croisière.
Un peu bruyant avec le train mais ils vendent de très bonnes glaces jusqu’à 21:00 et l’endroit est joli, ça compense !!

Nice spot for a night. Nice breeze off the water. Still $10. Was asked at the ticket office how many nights, so multi-night stays appear possible.

Somewhat level on the gravel area for RVs.
