Description
Charming little family hostel run by a very nice woman named Amy who helps and flexes everything you needs. The hostel is clean, hot water, shared kitchen and Netflix for movies, average Wi-Fi and excellent location - only five minutes from bus station and supermarkets in town, 10 min from main square. An excellent and very cheap option for backpacks compared to all other places in Villa de Leyva. Single tent 17000cop pp/ 19000 with breakfest. The tent already exists with a thick mattress and blankets. Dorms 21000/25000 with/without breakfast.Double room with shared bathroom 55000cop/ 75000cop with private. (Prices of low season. You can find them online).
The Hostel gives a sense of home, great volunteers who help keep the place, shared evenings of music, movies and hanging out. Stayed here first for 3 nights and came back after a month.
Ask for David and the tour for Cascada Periquera - he has a lot of knowledge about the place and the history - worth it. Pet friendly.
The only drawback is the lack of parking inside the hostel - it is possible on the street though and it is safe in the village.
