Huge parking lot next to ruta 5 sur. There are picnic tables, grills and swings for you to spend the day. Free hot showers and toilets. We arrived late and spent the night in our vehicle. The security guy of the night shift is called Osvaldo and he offered us hot water for us to drink our mate. He works from 8 to 8.The next morning Enrique also offered us hot water. They have a tip jar if you want to collaborate as we did though the use of the facilities is free. Some noise from the highway but not so bad so as not to be able to sleep.

We were looking for the place indicated on post Beach North of TalTal, but we turjjhgsned right on the PARE red sign, followed the gravel tracks that go down to the sea and found this wind covered spot, great view of the Caleta above the cliff, barely visible from the road, 2wd accesible, no amenities but total solitude guaranted.

August 15th, 2016 Inca City Hostel

Nice hostel located at about 10 blocks from plaza de armas. Cost per bed in shared room is 15 soles and it includes breakfast and parking. The parking lot is small so it can only fit one regular size vehicle or a couple of bikes but not big rigs. The hostel has WiFi, hot showers, there is one shared bathroom inside and several toilets and small bathrooms out of the building. The person in charge is called Ramiro and he speaks good English and Spanish. Since the hostel is located almost at the end of downtown Cusco you can find menús, markets and other small convenient stores with very low prices. The kitchen is also shared so you can buy your own food and cook it at the hostel. Shared dinning room also. You can buy Machu Picchu tour, or any other tour as well.

we stayed 3 days in a double room with queen size bed,tv with cable, WiFi and hot shower. Julio, the owner only charged us 120 soles for the three day stay. Julio is very helpful and always available should you need anything. The hostal is a block a way from a small square where the foodwagen, a peruvian food truck (with great food and prices between 7 to 8 soles) operantes tuesday to saturdays evenings/nights. Tour Citröen Berlingo was par ked right next to tour room. great spot.

May 3rd, 2016 Camping La Armada

Beautiful camping site only 2 kilometers away from the pacific ocean. It has cabanas, camping spots with grills and sun cover for vehicles, swimming pool, swings, wi-fi, electricity, potable water and bathrooms with cold showers. We were here last year and loved it since it was quiet at night during week days and a little noisier on weekends. Unfortunately and this is bad news for all of us overlanders ,when we arrived Emilio (the administrator) told us that the camping was closed and not accepting new campers because they were undergoing renovations. This will continue until September at least. Emilio recommended another camping site called Josefina which is already posted in ioverlander. Emilio said he would keep us posted on updated so stay tuned.

Quiet camping zone. Huge swimming pool that is only used two months a year so itˋs currently not available. wi-fi´ hot showers, potable water, grills and decent toilets. Fee is $15 arg pesos per person per day + $20 for tent and $20 for vehicle. Thereˋs a kiosko right next to it and a panaderia next to the kiosko. We were advised by the administration not to leave things outside the vehicle or tent if we are not around for security reasons.
