April 9th, 2021 Mousehole

Mousehole football club camping and motor homes. A charity run campsite with all profits going back into developing and improving the site. Level hard standing for motor homes, large level grass field for camping. Overlander friendly with room for large trucks on a hard standing. I’m an overlander myself and assist in running the campsite in summer months.

December 17th, 2019 Top north hotel

Great hotel in a great location for walking to all attractions.
Huge parking area for motorcycles or cars and 4x4s.
Rooms vary in price from 500 to 1500 tbht. I got a 1500 room for 1000 a night.
All the staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and have air con and tv. I had a fridge and safe in my delux double 👍🏻
Ryan the manager and a member of staff assisted me in printing scanning and emailing some documents, no charge.

December 17th, 2018 Freedom Shores

Arrived at 5.30 pm restaurant closed, they asked for 400 pesos but negotiated down to 300 and to be honest that’s still way too much.
I rarely leave negative comments but we were very disappointed after a long drive. Nice beach front but old shabby cold showers with no shower head, lights or hooks to hang cloths, ( but do have toilet seat and paper)WiFi wasn’t working even sat outside the office, and very noisy until 2am.

November 26th, 2018 Casa Rayo De Sol

Great camp ground and great hosts, Mark and Lorraine are really nice laid back people.
They are working on the place every day and building a great overland oasis in a beautiful location. Highly recommended stop.

November 9th, 2018 El Litro RV Park Todos Santos

Great little place to stop for a night or 2. We paid 100ps, for a dry camp spot at the lower side of the site. Perfectly ok for the night. Showers are good and plenty water pressure. 20 min walk into town with very little shade so be prepared for a hot dust walk. But the town itself is nice. Expensive restaurants and tourist shops but back streets offer more local places to eat.

November 1st, 2018 Campestre Maranatha

great camp site/RV park. excellent toilets and showers, like a hotel bathroom. all the staff are friendly and helpful, good wifi, great pool and the site is kept amazingly clean. bus to el Centro La Paz outside gate, 10mps per person into city centre, about 30 mins via Walmart and the big stores shopping area. ask anything of the staff they have maps and very good local knowledge.

October 31st, 2018 La Pila Balneario & Trailer Park

big dusty area for RV parking, the site is ok but the showers and toilets are a bit dirty and run down. none of the male showers (x4) had shower heads just a pipe sticking out of the wall (cold water only).
very disappointed in the facilities as the owners are nice and the pool is well maintained ,(lots of locals come and swim, swimming lessons etc) 200 pesos for dry camping.

October 23rd, 2018 Huerta Don Chano RV Park

Only one toilet and one shower but clean and good water pressure in shower. 200 Mpso for our small truck. Nice sites with water and electricity. Grass is a nice change to sand and dust.
Nice place, we’d stay again 😊👍

October 23rd, 2018 Campo Archelon Baja-Bahia de Los Angeles

Great site as described. Antonio and his mum are both great and speak good English.
Great beach, great atmosphere, great palapas, strong WiFi, what more can I say, highly recommend

September 21st, 2018 Pioneertown

Great bar and food, had live music from a great band. Great atmosphere and really friendly staff.
The old movie town is great to see and walk through the buildings.
You can pay 10 dollars per person to camp in the camp ground Rv camping. We ate in the bar and asked the staff if we could park up, they said we could stay on the bar car park for free.
Small truck camper.

September 5th, 2018 Little A'Le'Inn

Iconic location for anyone into the whole Area 51 thing. It’s 40 miles of good road from the Hwy, past the “black mail box” and onto the extraterrestrial highway. We parked for free in a little area to the side of the inn, with trees for shade and a fire pit, toilets inside from 8-10 and porta toilets outside.
The place is a little run down and shabby which kind of adds to the appeal.
Sue and her sister behind the bar are both lovely and will fill your coffee mug all day for 2 dollars. Food is usual burgers etc. Beer is very cold 😊👍
Perfect for a night free camping and watching the skies, “they are out there”👽

August 28th, 2018 Cruiser outfitters

toyota Land cruiser specialists.
these guys are not Mechanics but they have a lot of Land cruiser parts in stock. I got 2 genuine toyota oil filters for my HZJ79 1HZ Engine and a fuel filter.
if you need a mechanic see State Auto very near by. they did excellent work on my Toyota

August 28th, 2018 State Automotive

Came here after a recommendation from Cruiser Outfitters.
Great bunch of guys. we had an issue with fuel filters on our Toyota Landcruiser HZJ79. IHZ engine.
Dustin the manager got it straight in and Dave the mechanic got the problem diagnose immediately.
our truck has 2 filters and only one was available, so Dave fitted one enableing us to stay mobile for a few days to explore the area while the other part arrived.
they know Land cruisers and are real mechanics who understand deisels.

August 27th, 2018 Mountain Shadows Mobile Home & RV

We arrived in Salt lake city and needed to wait several days for a fuel filter for the truck. we came to Mountain Shadow based on IOverlander and location close to our mechanic ( State Auto Sandy)
Bob on reception was amazing the site was full but he gave us a parking place in the tent parking area for 10 dollars a night. no hook up but access to swimming pool. toilets, showers, fast wifi, etc etc.
what a great deal. we stayed for 5 nights until we could get the truck fixed.
its a little noisy, being next to the main highway but ear plugs fixed that.
walking distance to shops and restaurants (about a mile to a big shopping area, 0.5 mile to some other shops and fast food in other direction.
highly recommend this place if you need to stay over in salt lake city.

August 16th, 2018 Wagon hammer. RV and camping

Great campsite and RV site with full HU or dry camping. Great tent spaces right on the river bank and a big covered shelter for cooking eating etc.
We paid $20 for our truck to dry camp. Showers and toilets are 5 star, free unlimited time showers.
There is a nice seating area/lounge inside with sofas, tables and tv. Plus an outside patio where people gather to chat on an evening. The WiFi is excellent for all your needs.
This is a really nice laid back friendly site with lovely grounds and plenty of shade etc.
The owners Cathy and Jeff are so welcoming and friendly, as is there little dog Stitch.
Highly recommend site.

June 11th, 2018 Walmart super centre

Big parking area with quiet area at the bottom backing onto lowes supermarket. We got good WiFi from lowes.

June 2nd, 2018 Shire Free Camping

What a great little site. Pit/porta loo available and water if you ask. Don and his dogs Sally and Hope will make you feel very welcome.
Don even invited us into his home to share his fire.
The world needs more people like him.

June 1st, 2018 Walmart

Walmart Charlottetown, busy location during the day. We parked next to GAP and got good wifi
