November 22nd, 2016 Money Exchange

No exchange anymore

November 18th, 2016 SENASA

Small senasa office where you can get your export papers for your pet. 550 pesos, you get the papers right away. Friendly guy and he knows what he's doing (got export papers for Germany which is apparently more confusing and more paperwork).

November 17th, 2016 Autopart store

Oscar and Miguel are two awesome guys who lend us their tools while we were fixing our Van in front of their store (we bought parts here). Very friendly and interested in our travel.

November 16th, 2016 Free Wifi At Train Station

Train station where you have free Wifi and can park for free

November 15th, 2016 Ruinas de Epecuén

Worth checking it out. It looks like a war zone. Part of the town is still under water. Dogs allowed. They also have a small free museum 1km down the road.

November 15th, 2016 RN 3 – Fruit Checkpoint

Checkpoint is a bit further north. If coming from the south you can drive thru without having to stop

November 15th, 2016 Laguna La Salada Wild Camp

Nice place to camp but no wind protection. No fees to enter when coming from the campsite. Check your pet for ticks!

November 14th, 2016 Internet / Telephone / Fotocopies / scanner

Place where you can get fotocopies and scanning done. They also have computers you can use for internet and cabins with telephones.

It is now called axion and not Esso. They still have free showers and now also have wifi, pw: 2934481057

November 12th, 2016 Peninsula Valdez Ticket Booth

Tried entering at about 9:30 pm and there was still a person working the gate. There is no student discount and from what we could see there is no chance of entering the park after hours as there was gates at both entrances and the exit

November 11th, 2016 Gomeria - Rawson

Got two tires installed for 150,- nice guy

November 9th, 2016 Gas Station

Small gas station, takes visa, more expensive here, 16,98 for super, 17,72 for diesel

November 8th, 2016 Dry River Bad On RP1 On Way To Bahia Bustamante

Easy unpaved road...my ass! After digging out our Van for 3 hours the road didn't get any better. I don't know why someone would drive here anyways there is nothing to see other than sand, ugly river beds, sheep and Mosquitos. Oh and you have to open and close gates a hundred times. In wet season you need a 4x4 for sure. Shit road!

November 6th, 2016 YPF Station Gaz

The wifi here works pretty good and the bathrooms are very clean with toilet paper 😉

November 5th, 2016 Gravelpit RN3 Free Camp

The wind was insane and we couldn't find anything better than the gravel pit to hide from the wind. We modified a little shack with some tin to cook in there. Ugly place but good enough to hide from the wind for a bit.

November 5th, 2016 Cabo Blanco

The lighthouse guy told us the penguins are only here between February and April. We saw a bunch of sea lions and sadly lots of dead penguins...

November 4th, 2016 Spot Near Ocean

We camped here to see the penguins the next morning as inside the gated area is a no camping sign. It's not a nice place but ok if you just wanna sleep here. Very windy of course. Good for our dog to jump around as he has to wait in the car for the time we see the penguins. There are more spots along the coast.

November 3rd, 2016 Parque Nacional Monte Leon

Amazing place to see Magellanic penguins and also very close. There was even a nest right on the trail so be respectful. Right now they have the eggs and the chicks hatch around the end of November. The trail is an easy 2km walk. There is also another walk where you can see sea lions. FREE - I still can't believe it.

November 3rd, 2016 San Expedito

Some shelters/picnic areas where you can hide a bit from the wind. There are tables and a BBQ pit (if you bring wood/charcoal you can cook). We drove right in it with our van.

November 1st, 2016 Ferry over Magellan Sts

We paid 15.000 for our minivan - you just go into the office to pay, no one looks at the vehicle. No extra fee for passengers

November 1st, 2016 ENAP fuel station, good WiFi!

You can pay with visa

November 1st, 2016 YPF

Slow open Wifi and they have warm showers but the lady at the desk didn't give us the key even the gas attendant said showers are available.

October 31st, 2016 Lago Fagnano

Lots of different campsites here - between trees, right at the lake or on a grassy spot. Firepits also. Perfect for tents to hide from the wind. Busy on weekends with locals. The night sky is amazing here!

October 29th, 2016 The End of The World

Don't except a sign or anything like that there...but the drive to there is nice

October 27th, 2016 Fuel station YPF

You have to pay for showers now

October 27th, 2016 Waterfront Parking

Tokyo drift at night. Very busy and noisy. The beach is good if you have a dog tho

October 27th, 2016 YPF

You have to pay for showers now

October 25th, 2016 Parque Nacional Torres del Paine – Lago Sarmiento entrance and Ranger Station

Park entrance. 21000 for foreigners, 3000 nationals. No international student discount.

October 25th, 2016 Laguna Amarga

Beautiful place and doesn't look like private land to me. This place is not in the park so you can camp here with your dog.

October 23rd, 2016 Hidden Spot Next To Highway

We couldn't find a better place to camp before crossing the border so we tucked in next to this little grassy hill on the side of the road. If you don't have a high vehicle you are hidden from the road.
