Next to the fairgrounds. Has hot showers and flush toilets in building right outside the camping area. Pit toilet also inside campground. Canoe launching into Missouri River area available. 10 bucks for tent, 20 for electric and 22 for full. Very quiet and off the road. Easy distance to town.

July 30th, 2019 Elkwater Campground

Electric at site. Portable water available. Hot showers. Beautiful lake. Several campgrounds around the park all services by one kiosk. Walking/bike trails available. Swimming area and playground. One of the quietest places we have stayed. Restaurants are available in town a short distance away.

March 3rd, 2019 Mountain Valley RV Park

Located at the base of the mountains overlooking the Tehachapi Valley and sharing space with a glider school. The only noise was tow planes occasionally taking off with gliders in-tow and far-off sounds of trains passing by. Each site had water and 30/50 amp electricity. Sewer is taken care of at a dump station located centrally. Bathrooms, hot showers and laundry. Very quiet, but a distance away from Hwy 58. No light pollution, just bright nighttime stars. Water is from their own well. Tehachapi is a great place to visit. Go tothe railroad museum in the old train station down-town. Visit the Tehachapi Loop, an engineering marvel at the time it was built where the front of the train crosses the back of the train to mitigate the steep grade. Cummings valley has a couple of wineries. One winery actually began winning awards the first year of production and have continued ever since.

February 20th, 2019 Huerta Don Chano RV Park

Lovely place along the river. Clean bathrooms and shower. Can get a taxi into town if needed.

February 18th, 2019 Buenaventura Resort & Restaurant Bar

Nice place for small rigs. They don’t take big rigs. Had a nice semi private beach across a small inlet from the restaurant and bar. Taco Tuesday was great. Clean bathroom and a hot shower available.

February 16th, 2019 Mar y Arena hotel

Nice spot to stop. We were able to park by the restaurant overlooking the water. A flush toilet is available as well as cold showers. Restaurant is available which we took advantage of. The people were amazing and we will be back.

February 12th, 2019 Martin Verdugo's Beach Resort

Very busy and compacted as they cram as many people in as possible. No privacy. Bathrooms are clean and there are washing machines but no dryers. Close walk to beach and town.

February 8th, 2019 Playa San Pedrito

Great spot to free camp. Nice little beach bar with bathrooms and an outside shower to rinse off if you are a customer. Limited hours. Great beach.

November 2nd, 2018 Eagle Lake BLM

There is a dirt road off the highway 139 at these coordinates. We found a few campsites. Signage indicated no fires in camp spots. No services, but we were able to set up for the night. No place indicating payment required.
