August 23rd, 2019 All Express - motorcycle and car tires

Very well stocked and reasonably priced tires. They stock Heidenau, Dunlop and many others. Mainly motorcycle tires but they do have car tires and can order things in if needed.

Can also do minor mechanic... oil change, breaks etc.

Very helpful staff!

A Heidenau K60 scout 130/80-70 cost me about 100 euros.

July 23rd, 2019 Tiago hostel

Nice hostel in Omalo. Good food and comfortable beds. You can chose from private rooms, shared rooms or they even have beds out on an open deck looking over the valley with an incredible view (we chose these ones)

Bed in a shared room - 30 GEL
Bed on the open deck - 25 GEL
Dinner - 20 GEL
Breakfast - 15 GEL

Prices are higher than other parts of Georgia. But these were the cheapest we found... I think Omalo is just a pricey place

July 23rd, 2019 Tusheti information point

Road to Omalo is open again. And definitely worth the effort to get here

July 23rd, 2019 Bravo restaurant

Nice restaurant that looks quite fancy but has very reasonably priced and tasty food. Everything from pizzas and burgers to local Georgian food. Really good, large Italian pizza for 10 lari.

July 23rd, 2019 Lilias Guesthouse

Comfortable and clean place to stay. Cost us 20 Lari each for a twin room. Have space for at least 2 cars to park inside their gate and plenty of space for bikes. Lila wasn’t doing meals when we were there though... no dinner or breakfast, had to go for a short stroll to the nearest restaurant, which wasn’t a bad thing. She did make us a lovely coffee though

July 12th, 2019 Kuwat Hôtel

Very basic but affordable accommodation. There are 2 options:

$10 - standard room with AC (shared bathroom and toilets)
$15 - Delux room with AC (your own private bathroom)

There is a kitchen with a hot water urn - but you have to bring your own tea/coffee. Shared bathrooms are nothing flash, but they have hot water and western toilets. One of the ladies who works there can speak English and she will restaurants/pubs etc are. What more can you expect in a $10 hotel?

A pretty good convenience store around the corner. And as the previous person mentioned... you can ride your motorbike/bicycle into the gated area as long as it fits through the doorway. Cars park just outside the gate, but they have security cameras all over the place.

July 10th, 2019 Milliy Mehmonxona Guesthouse/Hostel

Was still closed when we were in Khiva July 2019. Looks amazing though... would love to have stayed there if it was open

June 21st, 2019 Kyrgyzstan customs

Going from Kyrgyzstan into Tajikistan. Very friendly staff. Didn’t have to pay anything. Some of the officers speak English

June 21st, 2019 Lake side camping

Nice camp spot next to the lake. Close to karakol town, where there is water wells and a couple small shops. Beautiful sunsets and sunrise if the weather is good

June 6th, 2019 Mountain View Guesthouse

Just adding photos to my last post. Hope it helps

May 25th, 2019 Pamir Serai guesthouse

A really nice guesthouse in Zuwudkhoon, the last village in Chipurson valley. Alam, the owner, has been running this place for over 2 decades. He is a man of the mountains and will offer great advice if needed. Comfortable rooms and areas to relax in, and a glass sunroom with beautiful views of the mountains. He will also try arrange a visit to Baba Ghundi, which is not meant to be allowed for foreigners. You eat meals with the family, and when we asked how much everything cost he just said to pay what we feel is fair.

May 18th, 2019 Madina 2

Got a 2 bed room for 1500. Simple but perfect for what we needed. Wifi is slow but at least there is some kind of connection.

The owner is really nice and goes out of his way to help you out

May 16th, 2019 Mountain View Guesthouse

A great guesthouse in Booni. All the things you need... water, internet, secure parking, comfortable beds and plenty of space to work on bikes/cars.

It is run by Ikram, who is a biker himself. He has traveled all over Pakistan on his bike. He will happily show you around Booni! He is very proud of this part of the country... and it is beautiful. We highly recommend spending at least 1 or 2 days with him and he will show you beautiful meadows surrounded by mountains! We literally took our bikes up a mountain. Not for the faint hearted, but incredible.

2 bed room - RP 2,000
Single room - RP 1,500
4 bed room - RP 3,000

Booni is a hidden gem

January 8th, 2019 Centro Guesthouse

Simple but comfortable guesthouse

Most rooms are twin rooms with 2 single beds in them. When we were there (early 2019) it was US$10 per bed.

Very friendly family run the guesthouse. The man has incredible English and will go out of his way to help you out.

No shower, just the standard bucket of water. But that is very normal around here

You can park your motorbike/car off the street around the back of their property. Lots of shade to work on your bike if need be.
