July 22nd, 2019 City park dump station

basic dump station hidden away in a nondescript park.

neither the flush nor drinking water spigots are working.

June 9th, 2019 Lake Sammamish State Park

Dump station in park. no camping. no potatable water at dump station.

June 5th, 2019 Kanaskat Palmer state park

Campground is open with plenty of available sites on this rainy Wednesday evening. $32 for a basic "tent" site at $40 for an RV site with 30 AMP and fresh water (not sewer)

Pricing for "popular" sites in the campground at $5 more.

June 2nd, 2019 Chevron

Dump station and potable water. $5 fee w/o fill up, $3 with. When I pulled in with my diesel rig, the attendant only charged me $3 as they don't sell diesel.

June 2nd, 2019 USFS South Shore Campground

One of several forest service campgrounds on the shores of Suttle Lake. Fee is $18 / day.

June 1st, 2019 2nd St behind Motel 6

No hassles, quiet enough during night as it's far enough from 3rd st traffic.

However at 7:20AM one of the "long term" campers at this location fired up a "contractor grade" generator that is making a considerable racket.

June 1st, 2019 Express Eco Laundromat

Worked great. three sizes of machines, so you can wash everything on one load. Machines take plastic directly. there is also an ATM ($3 fee) and a bills to quarters machine. free WiFi.

May 30th, 2019 Snow Park

Large parking lot, enough off highway that road noise isn't intrusive. Snow gone from here, but not yet from Crater Lake NPS campgrounds, so this worked well.

May 29th, 2019 Eagle State Park Campground

Boat ramp and dock with several simple campsites. View of lake somewhat obscured by brush along lake shore. Gravel road from 39 is in decent condition, but occasional bad sections of washboard. Water pump broken so no drinking water.

May 27th, 2019 Sanitation station with potable water. $5

Nice dump station with rinse and potable water. Four stations total.

May 27th, 2019 Lava Beds campground

Great view to the north from site A6 !

Campground info sign warns that the squirrel population is infected with plague! Don'tet their fleas get on you!

May 27th, 2019 Merrill Campground

Large USFS campground (90+ sites) Upper sites with power and hookup are all "reservations". We camped in what that c
camp host woman called "walk up" sites, but I think she meant "1st come 1st served" Anyway our site was a back in site big enough for a 35 foot motorhome (ours is 28) and had a great view of the lake. Paved bike path connecting this campground to the USFS Christie campground a mile up the lake.

May 26th, 2019 Beacon Lot

Update after staying over Saturday night. No hassles from the mounties. However there were trains every couple of hours, complete with warning whistles.

May 25th, 2019 Beacon Lot

Signs now indicate paid parking 5AM to 10PM Overnight parking allowed, alternating sides for days of week.

May 25th, 2019 Bridgeport Free Water

The spigot has had the handle removed and capped with a steel cap. looks more like a permanent closure than a winter closure. :(

May 17th, 2019 Cafe 247

added photos. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . n n n n

May 17th, 2019 Sawtooth Canyon BLM Campground

Pleasant campground, interesting rock forms, some short hikes. Very busy with rock climbers on the weekend. But they didn't party hard at night so it was quiet at night. T-mobile data service vastly improved once weekend crowd cleared out, was pretty much unusable Saturday night.

May 17th, 2019 Cafe 247

Kitschy burger cafe -- "Route 66" type feel. Happy Hour 2:00PM - 4:00PM M-F Domestic Beer $2. Burger and a Beer $6

They offer the "Impossible" patty for vegan folks and a lettuce wrap for wheat avoiders.

May 16th, 2019 fantasy springs casino truck and rv lot

Electric reader board at entrance reads P"ermanent Closure 5/20/2019". 1st part of lot says "No Truck or RV parking" but farther back in the gravel lot we joined many RVs.

May 15th, 2019 Walmart Moreno Valley

They have gotten stricter about enforcing the no camping rules and I had to move around 12:30AM

April 16th, 2019 Carnitas Michoacan

Very simple menu, but quite good. Tacos are now 20 pesos.

April 12th, 2019 Playa La Perla

Stayed here 4 nights. toilets are in sad shape with no door any more and sagging to one side, propped up with a 2x4. The caretaker didn't speak any English and when I held up four fingers and said quadro noches, it seemed like she was having a hard time calculating the fee for four nights. I showed her 600 pesos and she smiled and accepted that.

very quiet days, excellent kayaking in the mornings with big north winds typically by noon. We saw and paddled with a whale shark on the last day when the winds held off.

A couple of families arrived as we were packing up for Samana Santa -- El Requeson nearby had already filled up with dozens of tents, Mexican pop music and even charter bus service from Mulege.

April 9th, 2019 Palmas Altas Camping

still has a "closed for the season" sign in the office window.

April 1st, 2019 Huerta Don Chano RV Park

We camped right next to the office. WiFi signal is very strong, however while we were there the actual connection to the internet didn't work. The Telmex cellular signal was strong however and I got 4G throughput on my T-Mobile phone.

There two bathrooms very close to the office and a shower-- which has excellent water pressure and temperature. There is also a covered area with a hammock and shade. The campground is well watered and cared for -- with green grass and trees.

March 29th, 2019 RV Park San Lucas Cove

was charged 235 pesos per night, stayed two nights. I used the RV dump station and fresh water fill (I have a filter) Dump station is slightly tricky as there is no rinse water at the dump and drain recetical is above grade, so getting you dump hose purged requires care.

Camped in site #10. Right on the water. Nice view of bay. We paddled our kayaks right from the site and explored the mangrove bay just North of the campground. When the tide is below mid-point the bay is too shallow for kayaks for long way across sand/clay. But above that tide level easy paddling. Wind picked up each day around 10AM easy before that, after noon winds too strong for enjoyable paddling.

March 24th, 2019 Rice & Beans San Ignacio

Was charged 400 pesos per night for my 28 foot A class. Ate in restaurant, 345 pesos for food only for two. You can hear trucks on the highway when they use their exhaust brakes.

March 23rd, 2019 Ojo de Liebre

Arrived just before sunset. Nobody at gate to collect fees. Drove past all the sites with palapas and took 1st one without. Moonrise was spectacular. Coyotes howled and yipped. Wind all night, RV rocked a bit as a result. Wind driven salty sand s
tuck to outside of rig and came in a window left open. Moved out early in the morning to catch a whale tour. no fee collected.
