February 20th, 2018 Wood Lake

Nice spot, easily accessible. This may turn into a pay campsite in the spring of 2018 ($10).

Bathrooms were clean, and there was a big stack of precut fire wood as a bonus.

February 17th, 2018 Lake Panasoffkee

Free camping!

Make reservations online at

I got a response in less than an hour after submitting an application and got approved for the same day.

Ringed fire pits, picnic benches, flat camp sites in a relaxing environment. There are a few miles of nice hiking trails as well.

February 15th, 2018 I-275 Rest Area

We stayed here overnight after getting chased away by police everywhere else in the area.

February 13th, 2018 Fort De Soto Park

Nice large park to hang out at during the day, multiple beaches, dog park, RV campground, boating, cycling, fishing.

$5 entrance fee/day pass, $1.75 for bridge tolls

RV dump station, pay by donation

Cold showers in bathrooms at the east beach.

This has been the cheapest option out of any beach in FL I've found, especially for how nice the beach is and how small the crowds are. Great place to relax.

February 11th, 2018 Moss Park

Nice state park with a lake, $23 for out of staters. They will tell you a thousand times no alcohol/pets to where it gets annoying. Electric hook ups, dump station and hot showers. Lots of wild life, nice place to relax and recharge your batteries.

February 11th, 2018 Alexander springs

Stayed one night, no power hook ups so lots of noisy generators running constantly. Bathrooms were clean, Nice fresh water spring to swim in and trails to hike. ***FYI*** To get the best bang for your buck buy a day pass, there are indoor private showers available in the day pass part of the park so if thats all you need don't waste your money camping like we did. Pay your $5 and hang out for the day, shower and refill your potable water :)

February 7th, 2018 Walmart camping

The most insane walmart ever, filled with the hoardes from disney. Slept in the back of the lot for one night with no issues, fairly quiet too.

February 2nd, 2018 pompano beach

Good spot to sleep overnight while at the beach during the day. Stayed here three nights, pretty quiet at night.

February 1st, 2018 Into the wild

One of the only boondocking places in the keys probably, nice quiet place, stayed here for two nights while exploring the keys. Watch out for the sand flies though.

January 22nd, 2018 Battery Park

Parked in the oyster shell truck lot with no issues, dark, pretty quiet at night. Cafe con leche breakfast cafe short walk away.

September 18th, 2017 Sheep Bridge Road

Nice spot to overnight, great sunset. We got here mid day and got a good spot, as it gets close to dark people start rushing in to grab camp sites.

4x4 not needed.

September 18th, 2017 Main Street RV Park

Hot parking lot right next to the highway, pretty much awful except for having hot showers and dumping/potable water available. $21 for the night. Only stayed here to dump and shower, otherwise the stratosphere is a better bet if you just need somewhere secure to sleep.

Bathrooms were clean and also cheap coin operated laundry available as well.

We stayed here with a small Toyota RV, but to anyone else with a more typical truck type of rig just don't mention anything about it, all they ask is what size it is, nobody checks anything. There was a Jeep in a spot while we were there.

September 15th, 2017 Parking in front of Stratosphere

Still available, no problems, security guard off and on. Great spot to check out Las Vegas for free :)

Gave the front desk at The Stratosphere my name, number and plate number to let them know we are staying there and they were cool.

September 14th, 2017 Kaibab Forest Dispersed Camping

Nice forest, many spots open while we were here, helipad nearby so it can be noisy during the day but we were in the park anyway. Quiet at night.

September 9th, 2017 Shower at Bryce canyon

I wasn't able to find this place.

August 17th, 2017 Joyful Journey Hot Springs

Nice hot springs/sauna for $12 if you say you're local, they have camping here in an open grass lot, also you can rent a room. Surrounded by beautiful mountains here in the middle of nowhere. Check out their website for more info. Open 9am-10pm daily.

Expensive camping but the hot springs are good. Crestone is nearby if you need groceries, there are a couple spots but a little expensive.

April 17th, 2017 Love's Travel Stop

We stopped here for gas and showers, which were clean and quite refreshing, didn't sleep here though, kept it moving. Fast wifi in the parking lot of McNasty's.

Watch out for the lot lizards!

April 16th, 2017 Lafayette - Walmart No Overnight Parking

Got here late at night, no problems. Fast wifi near garden center.

The french press in town has amazing breakfast.

April 14th, 2017 Parking Real de Catorce

Stayed here again for five days with no problems, bathrooms nearby are very clean. There is also a hotel down the street from the palacio municipal with hot showers for $35 pesos, there is a yellow sign that says regaderas, cant miss it. We fit through the tunnel in our toyota rv but just barely!

Side note, make sure you have plenty of cash when you come here, the only atm in the town is out of service very often. We got stuck for three days with no cash before it was fixed.

Second side note, dont miss Gorditas Doña Chila, incredible cheap food, we ate there every day. Its right on the main drag.

April 6th, 2017 Escondido Place -showers

Really cool hot spring park, no joke! There is also a pretty good restaurant inside with fairly priced food ($80-90 per plate)

There are some big grass/gravel parking areas here where I'm sure you could spend the night, we noticed there was an area for tent camping inside. This is a pretty large place with many pools to explore so make sure you walk around a bit.

Clean bathrooms and hot showers available, overall this place is really nice! $150 per person for entry, they are open from 8-5. Smoke a joint and soak in the hot water all day :)

March 23rd, 2017 Cabanas El Eden

Stayed here for a couple days, pretty good little spot, nice family. No complaints, quiet at night when we were here (weekdays)

Overall pretty clean, we got a spot that is in the shade for the second half of the day. $140 pesos for two people per day.

No smells of sewage as previously posted.

March 20th, 2017 La Perla Restaurant & Cabañas

Great place, very nice beach, quiet & relaxing. We ate at La Perla 2. Camped for free in the grass for four days while purchasing some food every day. Food was delicious and people are very friendly. Stock up on water and supplies at the tiendas on the highway before coming, you might not want to leave.

March 17th, 2017 Tonina Kayab

Awesome boondocking campground! Beautiful landscape and friendly family on site. The ruins at Tonina were also awesome, one of the best we've seen in Mexico.

March 11th, 2017 ROAD BLOCK

We got stuck here for about six hours in a huge road block, talking to the locals they say it is very common. This one started at 11am so maybe try to drive through here early in the morning if possible.

March 11th, 2017 Hotel Posada San Rafael

Noisy, secure.

March 9th, 2017 Copalita river

The original coordinates to this place are way off. If you look on google maps find the place on the river called Rio de Copalita, its right down the road and the restaurant name is Comedor Prehispanico, cant miss it. Its about 50 yards from the river next to a tire shop. This place is a little slice of paradise! Free camping with purchase of a meal, mostly mariscos.
