September 30th, 2016 Camping ISSN

Excellent place! Fast wifi. Empty in late September. Each site has electric, running water, a sink and a fire pit. Showers are hot, hot, hot.

September 25th, 2016 Ceferino Municipal Park

Big park. Clean with lots of campsites. Empty when we were here in off season. Also free for us but not sure about regular season. Toilets are at the far end of the campground in the big hangar like building. Ladies was locked, men's was in need of repair but functional. They say hot water showers but did not test. BBQ pits at every site. Hundreds of green parrots while we were here.

September 24th, 2016 Camping Canchencho

Height limit is approx 2.7 m due to electrical cable. We came to this campground because the other ones by the river were either too noisy or too overpriced. This family-run campground is set in a residential area so it was quiet, even on a Fri night. Campsites are in a large grassy area behind the buildings, away from the street. Bathrooms are run down, but there's plenty of hot water for showers. They offered laundry service onsite and there's a truck that comes by with 20 L bottles of purified water. Just ask the friendly owner, Demetrio Martinez, about these services. There are small shops within walking distance where you can buy basics and recharge cell phones. We paid 200 ARS for our van and 2 people.

September 20th, 2016 Visitor Information Centre

Municipal campground was closed so they let us camp here. Park at side or back of info centre. Quieter than YPF gas station but still close enough to access their bathrooms. WiFi available, in 2016 password is 12345678.

September 19th, 2016 Camping El Tigre

Campground near dam. If cool enough spaces by the river are great but have no water or electricity. Other spots have both and lots of shade. Busy on weekends. Men's bathroom not great. Women's were 'ok'. $210 AR for VW van and two people.

September 14th, 2016 Parque Leoncito

Wow! Hot water. Slow but serviceable Internet. Free. We are the only ones here. Very beautiful spot.

September 12th, 2016 Playa Techada

We paid 150 ARS for our VW van and slept in our van overnight with no hassles. There's a bathroom inside the parking attendant kiosk near the secondary entrance. Just ask permission to use it.

September 11th, 2016 Integrated Border Formalities -- Eastbound Only

We crossed this border on a Sunday late afternoon and waited in lineups for 4 hours because there were many Argentinians returning from weekend shopping sprees on Santiago. Most cars were inspected, including ours. We recommend crossing this border either early in the day or on a weekday to avoid the wait.

September 11th, 2016 Car Park

We wild camped at this car park in front of Hotel Ayelen after a very long border crossing from Chile. The hotel was closed for the season so we did not have access to any facilities. Nobody bothered us.

July 24th, 2016 Parking For Tottus

The only parking for the hiper tottus if you have a vehicle over 2 meters tall. Parking on street, lots of space early Sunday morning.

July 21st, 2016 LIPIGAS GLP

There are two entrances. One is for autogas which will fill a fixed tank. The other is for filling bottles. Talk to the guy in the booth. We paid 6500 pesos for 11 liters or 6kg

July 18th, 2016 TerralHotel&Spa (and Camping)

Quiet parking lot. All paved and secured with brick walls and electric gate.

July 17th, 2016 Bahia Club

Nice in the winter. Camp sites are very close and it's probably a zoo in the summer.

July 17th, 2016 Petrobras

200 to use toilet, 600 for a cold shower. Quiet enough, trucks pull in and out all night but they didn't bother us.

July 14th, 2016 Pronor Agua Pura

2000 pesos for 20 liters

July 3rd, 2016 National Reserve Entrance
