park on the hardpacked sand beach on the left off the marina break is all fine. it has been cleared of basura but as we know in Mexico its an endless issue.

camping or cabanas only and you need to reserve. the water fall and cold pool walk is accessible for 100 mxp . if they are not full you can pay for day access to one of the hot pools!

route from the North to Parque National 1857, hasn't seen a grading machine since 1858 .

ground clearance and TIME essential, 4x4 thankfull especially if the many mud pools are wet . part of the Baja 1000 route amazing scenery remote and no traffic, many pulling to stay.
the route SOUTH from the park is easier and shorter but still a challenge in muddy conditions Graded regular as most people enter the Parque from the south.
ie: more Tacate cans on the road!

register and pay 75 pp, map and info available from the guard. also ask for fishing permit here.!
road from the south was slow and slippy, pot holes rather than washboard.don't attend when its raining, reassuring to have 4x4 but I didn't use it, 6.5mtr Sprinter.
is this really Baja???

Sandy access to lagoon beach, safe (but it is Ensenada), free, quiet. great place if you have a dog, 6 nights at 2 different time no issues.4g on Telcel

2 employee sweet dogs on site running free. I entered with mine no problems.

this is as far as you get with Covid lockdown the park is only open at weekends (when most people com here) and no camping In the
open space, nobody, lots of wind and fresh air at 2000m +
but if you are missing trees this is the place

No access now and there is NO running water. If you see running water do not stay on the dry river bed ....it's not dry.

Wow! wind protected, totally out of view of highway 1 all you need is a hot pool here in amongst the vegetation.
rough sandy rocky road into this sinkhole spot, but totally protected from the rath of this area.

February 24th, 2021 Near Ojo de Liebre

to enter the barrier at the carpark you pay 100 pesos you will get a ticket with you regitration number... I entered after 5pm the barrier was up.
to camp it's free. NOT 100 pesos per night. the money goes to the community. Going on a boat tour or eating in the restaurant is better than handing out pesos randomly

100 pesos to enter the barrier not to camp. Camping is free (Federal Land)
make sure you get a ticket when you enter, and pay, with your reg number on. Barrier is left open at 5pm.

Tricky to find the exit from Mx1 come off onto the hard shoulder.
federal land free to camp and Ejido land entry, no sign of Miguel or Raul . better option that in Mulege.

Mike a kawasaki overlanding Brit has opened a developing tranquil camp oasis, Solar shower, Toilet garden oasis with lots of sun and wind shade with grassy tent spaces, within walking distance of the beach. Large covered red roof palapa for any moto maintainance. A character to spend time with, by donation only. space for 10 tents or small overland vehicle Park up and pitch if nobody is around.

This is a public parking lot on Federal Land and public access to the beach. the house on the other side of the road has an issue with looking at a few RV and installed No Overnight Signs to facilitate her desire to look at sand rather than R V.Trash is not from the Overlanders The entrance and left side have now been blocked by large rocks as the signs were a great source of
firewood. this is a free Federal place to stay. and has wind protection from the dunes.

November 27th, 2020 public parking Holiday Inn

parked/slept on the road to avoid rooster/dog noise.toilets and out side showers are available, walk up the hill to the round about, follow the Beach Access Track Left next to the Grand Mayan Suits and you will find toilets, just before the sand there are open air showers.
quite,safe, free.
