June 15th, 2021 Langford Recreational Trail Free Camp

As others have said - a terrific place. The parking lot slopes away and to the right as one pulls in. We had to do some manoeuvring to get the van parked flatish. No problem - we had the place to ourselves.

A Conservation Officer accompanied by a local came by. They confirmed overnight stays are fine

June 15th, 2021 Bonnington Springs

A fairly big, town owned and managed, campground. Nicely treed. Spacious sites. A path to the Springs.

But, on this date, the grass isn't cut, the showers don't work, and there's a recent advisory about the potable water.

That could all change but its proximity to the busy highway can not. Also, the "springs" underwhelm - water from a PVC pipe feeding a bog, as far as we can tell.

Still, a quiet night - the traffic noise didn't bother us.

November 21st, 2020 Chase Lions RV Park

Beside the river. Boat launch. 14 full service back-in RV sites - $40. Grass unserviced area for tents and campervans - $25. No privacy, but still a pretty nice place. Volunteer run. Closed during the winter.

November 19th, 2020 Tranquille Creek Trailhead

Trailhead parking lot. Lots of room for campervans. Flat. Nice views. Away from the road and tracks. Popular trail so perhaps busy during the day. Dead quiet at night - except for occasional and subdued train noise. Zero amenities - just a place to park.

November 15th, 2020 Denny's/Petro gas Truck Stop

As described by the original poster. I parked in the far corner, away from the lights, highway noise, and truck traffic. But close to the train tracks - close enough to feel the ground shake as the trains passed by. And I "did" hear the trains at night - not a problem for me. Good wifi at both the c-store and restaurant.

I would stay here again if passing through.

November 6th, 2020 Esso Truck Stop

It's a truck stop. But, with the campground closed, good for one night.

Big dirt lot. Busy with trucks coming and going. Highway and train noise. All that being said, we had an uneventful and relaxed night with the campervan parked between two semis. No issues.

November 5th, 2020 Assiniboia Regional Park

A nice little town campground. Just 17 sites, all with electricity, fire rings, water. Playground and Aquatic Centre right next door. Short walk to downtown shops.

We didn't stay - just stopped to make lunch. Would definitely stay another time.

November 5th, 2020 Weyburn Walmart

It's a Walmart parking lot 😐

No other overlanders here on this Nov. night. Customer Service OKed parking overnight. We did have a semi for company for most of the night.

We parked on the west side next to the open field. Some highway and train noise, but not intrusive - a quiet, restful night.

The wifi doesn't reach to this part of the parking lot.

November 2nd, 2020 King's Acres Campground and RV park

Nov 2 and it's open. But washrooms and showers closed. As is the office - register and pay by phone; number on the office door. $35 for an electrical site. Water at the site but turned off. She said there are no unserviced sites available.

Good wifi here at Site B2. Weak signal but I may be the only user.

November 1st, 2020 Gull Lake Campground

Closed on this date but the gates are open and the wifi works. A dozen or so RVs parked but nobody around - likely parked for the winter. An uneventful and quiet night.

July 3rd, 2020 Bassano Campground

The site by the CP Rail caboose is nice.

There is slow wifi outside the library, just a block up the street.

July 1st, 2020 Centennial Park

Still here. Still no signs. We stopped for lunch.

The toilets are a little past skuzzy.

July 1st, 2020 Happy Land Campground

On Pelican Lake. Busy place. Looks like lots of seasonal rentals, but also lots of space for short stays. $35 for full services. $30 in renting area.

July 1st, 2020 Pipestone Town Campground

7 or 8 sites next to the ball diamonds. Nice playground nearby. All sites have electricity, water, picnic table.

No obvious way to pay. Maybe someone comes by to collect.

July 1st, 2020 Preston Lake & Campground

The lake looks manmade. Should be ok - it's getting lots of use today. There is also a splash park. And a golf course, which is where you register for camping. 22 sites, a few with shade. $30 full service. $15 tent.

July 1st, 2020 Whitewater Recreational Park

Golfing. Camping. Fishing. Swimming.

Seems to be popular with local families on this Canada Day. The sites to the left are more sheltered; to the right more exposed but closer to the beach.

There's a ramp to launch your watercraft.

July 1st, 2020 Pilot Mound Campground

Another nice little town-owned campground. Swimming pool. Tennis courts. Fire ring and table at each shaded site. Very big rigs may not fit. $30 for all hookups.

July 1st, 2020 Manitoba Centennial Park

Your typical - that is, nice - small town campground. From $20 to $28, depending on hookups. Maybe lese for no hookups?

July 1st, 2020 Hartney Town Campground

Just a few sites. Swimming pool. A nice new play structure.

July 1st, 2020 Redvers Log Cabin Campsite

Unchanged from the last time we were here. Still under partial pandemic closure.

July 1st, 2020 Belmont Town Campground

If you like quaint off the beaten path places, this might be for you. Just a few sites, all with electricity, water, table, fire ring. Sports fields, playground, basketball court.

July 1st, 2020 Pembina Valley Centennial Park

Just a few nicely shaded sites beside a river. $25 electric. $15 tent. Includes firewood.

A very small town.

June 30th, 2020 Lake Minnewasta Campground & Colert Beach

Big municipally owned operation surrounding the SW bay of the lake. Beach with a huge inflatable water play thing. All of that and the big serviced sites are quite far away from these quite nice unserviced tent sites across from the office. Not bad wifi here too, coming from the office/store. The whole place - excepting the tent sres - busy today.

$22 for a tent site.

June 29th, 2020 Carman-Dufferin Campground

41 sites, 3 unserviced. Golf course, pool, tennis court, walking trails.

CBC at 98.3.

June 28th, 2020 Cottonwood Campground

Big campground surrounding the baseball diamonds and the aquatic centre. Full services, partial services, unserviced sites. All bookings at trehernecamping.com.

Nice play structure.

CBC at 97.9.

June 28th, 2020 St. Claude Town Campground

Small campground next to a playground and football pitch. 12 sites that I think are walk-in tent sites. 6 drive-in sites. All with electricity. Wild turkeys wandering around.

Museums nearby. Nice new toilet/shower building. Fire ring and picnic table at each site.

CBC at 98.3.

June 27th, 2020 Cypress River Millennium Park

Rest / picnic area. On the Trans Canada Trail. Wetlands interpretive signs and a short boardwalk into one of the two swamps. Well maintained. Fairly clean pit toilets. No signs saying No Camping. You can camp at the back away from the highway. Free.

CBC at 97.9.

June 27th, 2020 Glenboro Agricultural Society

This place is Covid-19 closed until further notice.

June 27th, 2020 Glenboro Agricultural Society

Forty or so sites, most - maybe all - with water and electrical hookups. All sites in a row along a tree line just north of the Ag Society grounds. Bathrooms with running water. No nearby highway or train tracks - should be quiet. Couldn't stay or check further - Covid-19 closure.

CBC at 97.9.

June 27th, 2020 Cypress River Agricultural Grounds

Just a few sites on the edge of a field next to the grounds. Plenty of shade and shelter. Self check in and pay - $20 with electricity; $10 without. Right now just 2 potable toilets. Buildings closed.
