July 28th, 2015 Flaming George / Green River No. 4

Wild camping at the river. There is a simple toilet / no showers. We were almost alone out there. No checkpoint but a reminder to pay a daily fee of 5 dollars or 15 dollars a week you put in a mailbox. Beautiful and clean. At the Wyoming site, No. 4

July 26th, 2015 Walmart 24h

Overnight camping allowed. Space for RVs, several parked over night. Clean toilets at Walmart. 24hours open. Friendly employers.

July 1st, 2015 Military checkpoint.

Just another military checkpoint. Nice guys!

June 30th, 2015 Hotel Corales

They were still building the second floor where the owner let us use the toilet and shower of an unfinished room - he gave us an extension for electricity - really nice guy!! We camped in the parking lot and payed him 100 pesos. / This seemed like a ghosttown the weekdays - nobody on the streets and most places closed. We drove around to ask at the popular rv-spots, they were closed or couldn't give us information. If you wanna go remote, camp at the beach.

June 30th, 2015 Malarrimo RV Park

good place to spend the night when driving through baja, not so much for hanging out. restaurant and bar is nice and the owner is very friendly. wifi worked outside at the level of the bar. hot showers = very welcomed cause it was freezy by night and awesome after some days at the beach without any amenities! toiletpaper and soap at the bathroom. the town is not so welcoming, you rather drive further to the bahias. 185 pesos per car/night

June 28th, 2015 Los Coyotes (Bahia de Concepcion)

+ beautiful sight / almost empty in june! / warm water and clear ground - unfortunately there were some rv's with generators the whole night / locals left all their garbage after sunday / lots of mosquitos // 50 pesos per day / 100 for day and night

June 26th, 2015 Playa Tecolote

still free and beautiful! if you like it calm, stay here the weekdays. Very crowded the weekends!

May 18th, 2015 Trailerpark Palmas de Cortes

Stayed some nights, nobody else was here. People very helpful and the Playa Principal right in front of the camping. Near walk to surfer beach Zicatela. They charged us 50 Pesos/ person /night and 70 for the car. Prices are higher in high season. There are clean showers and toilets with seats. Very chilled! Just watch out for the falling coconuts...

May 11th, 2015 Hotel Quiloma Ranch, Palenque

There werent any guests there and a nice lady asked us if we wanted with electricity (200p) or without (150p). we went for the electricity and paid. the owners were hanging out near the parking lot and when we asked where to plug in our cable, they made fun of us and told us we couldnt use it cause it would be too expensive for them. very rude and unpolite people - wouldnt recommend it at all!!! we decided to leave and got a better option at maya bell!

May 6th, 2015 Hotel Posada familiar

This is one of the cheapest and most basic places we found. The city is very chaotic and full of motorbikes. The place is at 4a calle in Zona 1 and has no parking. A room costs 70Q with shared bathroom or 120Q with own bathroom. The safe parking lot is around the corner on the opposite of Hotel Casa Blanca. Between 7pm and 8am it cost 25Q, the rest goes by hour.

May 4th, 2015 Hostal Doña Lety

cute little hostal with shared bathrooms, cost 120 Q/ night for a double or a room with two beds. secure parking is about two blocks away and included (belongs to the staffs family). in zona 1 at 6a calle, take care of the one way-streets. bring a sweater for the night!

May 3rd, 2015 Hotel Los Olivos

Nice hotel with safe parking-garage. They charged us 200 Q / night for a double room (would be 260 Q with breakfast) cause they didnt have a lot of guests on a sunday. Hot showers, TV, Wifi. and its near to the park.

May 2nd, 2015 Hotel Tzanjuju, Lake Atitlan

the beautiful view is the only good thing about this place! told us by checking the size of the car the price would be 100 Q / night, but charged us finally 125Q. Bathrooms are dirty and the whole site looks old and nasty. Staff at the reception is very unfriendly. The hotel charges 100US-dollar for a double room - rip off!! better take your time and go somewhere else around the lake!

May 1st, 2015 Bahia Atitlan Inn

great view, but too expensive. 150 Q for a night, the second night it would have been 100 Q. we moved to the neighbours.

April 27th, 2015 Parque Ecologico Florencia

Plenty of space to park your van or sleep in a tent. Water is turned off by night, take your shower by day. Admission fee was 70 quetzales for two. Be aware that you pay the day admission too if you stay after 8am. Administration doesnt open before, you have to stay until 8am. Better to reach with the road from Antigua - the one heading into the city does not pass the park. Very nice people!

April 26th, 2015 Hotel Continental

Good hotel run by a local family. It is located at 23 Calle Poniente between 6 and 8 Avenida Sur passing the Centro Medico. On the opposite you'll find a bakery. Cost us $23.80/night for a double room including breakfast and wifi. There is a lush patio inside and a big breakfast room. There is a secure parking lot inside the building. Its a safe place with an easy walk to the nearby shopping mall. Take a cab by night.

April 24th, 2015 Hotel El Viajero

Driving through the city passing by Comfort Inn you'll find the hotel el viajero at the 7a Avenida Norte between 6a y 8a Calle Poniente. There is a safe parking inside which they close by night. They charged us $25 for a double room with ac and tv. Very friendly and helpful family. The neighbourhood has some good spots to get food and its safe to walk around until about 8pm.

April 7th, 2015 Quinta San Rafael (Somoto Canyon)

- beautiful view, many stars by night! we stayed for a night. payed 15$ to camp (maybe cause of semana santa) they have outdoor showers to use and flushing toilets. nice to be near the river- you can decide where you stay on the grass. sometimes it seems to get busy when they have a lot of tent campers. very calm only the frogs and birds get loud by night. friendly cuidador by night! - too pricey for a campsite when you find nice double rooms for the same price. or better choose the parqueo on the other side! (take the road to the right side when you see the entrance to the quinta)

April 5th, 2015 Campestre Esteli (closed for vehicles at the moment)

we stayed two nights here due to some missing camping stuff we found in esteli. they let us use an extension cable and power worked very well. the pool is nice when you arrive at weekdays, then you'll have it on your own. showers were not so welcoming. payed 10$ and we stayed on the grass near to the toilets. they let us cook on our own at the campsite.

March 19th, 2015 Hotel Guanacaste

Its called a budget hotel - they have a big parking lot for trucks too which we used and slept in the van. They charged 2000 colones for that and let us use their toilet. Not the nicest but ok for a night!
