63 is a piece of cake up until this turnoff. It’s nothing but a soggy, muddy mess from the recent snow. If you go during the Winter/Early spring you’ll want a 4x4. T-Mobile drops off completely 3 miles north of Pecos, but there are 911 emergency phones located along 63 at the fire-station and old country store in El Macho and Tererro. Pretty far up so pack in plenty of supplies and fuel up in Pecos.

I wouldn't recommend camping here, as this is in the naval bombing range.

Mojo's Camp is the place to stay if you're visiting and want to stay in the slabs. It is safe and very dog friendly. Mojo and those that live at her camp are very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be back!

Parking of a park with ocean view in a quiet neighborhood. Not Crowded. No much cell service, keeps turning on and off. This place is absolutely amazing for a small camper. ++ sunset is beautiful here if you get the three parking with the nice view! my app has a problem, i rate this at 5 stars.

Beautiful situated, quiet campsite with excellent views. Good facilities, such as number open air kitchenettes with electricity, swimming pool with natural (cold) water, playgrounds, clean bathrooms (cold showers) and good food. Very sweet and helpful owners.
Plenty of animals walking around such as lama’s and flamingo’s.
Close to Bogota.

Only warning: during long weekends it can become very busy, also with young people enjoying loud music. Policy is to separate campground in quiet family area and other for young people.

Great place to fill water! Employees are super helpful and kind. They offer either hose fill up or jug fill up. We received about 40 gallons for 110 pesos! Totally worth it!

Big beautiful beach!! Full cell service and right outside of town!! It was really windy while we were here so we couldn’t really enjoy a beach day but I assume in calmer weather this place would be super relaxing! There’s a market and water in town if you need it as well as great restaurants and an amazing bakery right before you turn it! Very safe with lots of locals having a good time!

Awesome spot. I parked on N Stockton and no one bothered me. Safe area with shops a block over. I would try to get there before dark, as the spots filled up fast.

You don’t get much more secluded than this! Great spot down Silverbell Rd, then take the side road to east to these coordinates. Road has signs for “high pressure gas lines”. The road is pretty long and bumpy. You’ll definitely need a high clearance vehicle but not necessarily 4x4. You’ll go through a cattle gate (a sign asks politely for you to close the gate so please remember to!) and take the road all the way down to a second gate. Don’t go through the second gate but instead follow the road to the right. You’ll see the site pretty quick. Established fire ring. Great views of the mountain.

This was a great camping experience. The host was so kind and accommodating. You're sleeping right next to the Red River, and it's a super serene experience. I actually camped right at the beginning of their opening season so it was very quiet, except for some chatty geese. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Gorge. Especially because the National Forest Campsites get super crowded, this spot is a bit farther from sites in the Natural Bridge Area (like 15min. away) but still close to Indian Creek and Martins Fork.

We spent 4 nights here, beautiful place to stay inside the city, really quiet (we spend Tuesday - Friday). There's a water tap. Next to the museum entrance. I highly recommend waking up early to see a lot of birds and hike the Cerro San Bernardo. It is quiet, police passed several times and did not say anything. We even let the car there to go and visit the center (there's a man that takes care of it while you are not there). Isa por ahí.
