We got there for sunset, nice view and beach with a history of surfing.
We had planned on staying overnight: when we ask a local if he thought it would be a problem for us to stay, he gently offered us to come to its home, featuring a lovely 40 years old house in the middle of a « second growth » redforest, with garden, some fruit trees, etc.
We couldn’t say no ! And had a wonderful time...
Report Check-InThere is no parking 10pm to 5am signs all up and down this road, including the turnout the original poster describes. I came to camp but just saw a State Parks Ranger patrolling so I will go elsewhere. It’s very pretty but I wouldn’t drive up expect to stay overnight.
Report Check-InAs describes, parking lot with view on the ocean. A lot of cars coming and leaving (people come to surf) but during the night it was very quiet. There is also a pit toilet!
Report Check-InLarge parking space next to cliff. There are no camping signs in the first parking section but just past that next to the cliff there are no signs. Porta potty on site (not the nicest, but at least there is one!). There’s walking access to the beach down a maintained set of steps, lovely views! Stayed one night and no one bothered.
