Perfect place to park and spend a few nights. There was quite a few campers there when we were there. Right outside the university. Guards in the car park. Free. Very quiet. Would only stay here when in Cuenca. Also great WiFi in Millenium shopping centre, 5 minute drive away. We worked here some nights and felt safe to have the laptops out. Close to historical centre too! Great spot.

🇪🇸Dormimos dos noches, lugar de mucho movimiento por el día pero tranquilo por la noche. En la escuela de enfermería hay grifo con agua potable.
🇬🇧 We slept two nights, a place with a lot of movement during the day but quiet at night. In the nursing school there is a tap with drinking water.

Report Check-In

Great place to sleep quiet at night and we felt safe. Close to the historic center, you can walk.

Report Check-In

We arrived on a Thursday night close to 6pm when the students that use the side street parking during the day slowly left and hence had no problem finding a spot to park. It's free. And we were able to park with no hassle with our MAN truck (3,70m hight and ca. 8m lengths). At nights and weekends it's quiet and approx. 30 min walk to the center.

Very quiet place. Ok for big rig but not larger than 2,50 m. We sleep very well with ou 8 m long on Friday and Saturday. I don’t know during the week with all students and probably more car

Report Check-In

This spot very safe, found a spot that wasn't directly under the street lights and slept very well. There were other overlanders so felt secure. The park right by here is fantastic especially for kids. we could have spent the whole day there if it didn't start raining.

Very nice place and safe. Next to the river. Many other travelers. Close to the park where a lotbof people sport. 8min driving from a free parking spot in the city. Go to the free museum btw its nice

Best place we could find in the area to camp for free. Right next to greenspace and the river. The park is one of the best we have been to in S. America with lots of space and, dog friendly, and kid friendly. Left our vehicle in the evening and day with no issues. It gets a bit busy on weekdays during the day, but is more quiet overnight. About 30 min walk to the central square, mostly on walking paths along the river. Space for any size rig. And free WiFi. Don't expect a perfect night of sleep all the time, it is still a city

Report Check-In

We spent here 4 nights, very calm, safe, nights quiet. We parked just after the entrance to the university, as it's close to guard and there is best wifi signal for free up to 30 mbit.

Great spot near the river. Flat, near services and quiet at night. Several other travelers were parked at the same spot while we were there. Felt very safe

Perfect place!!! Wifi works good, lots of cars during the day but so quiet at night! A lot of travelers when we where there. Beautiful park (yo for a morning walk with my dog and I loved it). So worth it to sleep here in Cuenca ☺️

Great place to stay in Cuenca! We spent 2 weeks opposite the Faculty of Nursing and it was very pleasant and safe. The Bosque is gigantic and very beautiful and pleasant to stay. The park has clean restrooms and a drinking fountain. It is close to laundry. It is possible to use the college's Wi-Fi. There is a security guard on the street who would send us away every day, but we spoke to the police and the college rectory who confirmed that parking is public and free and we can stay as long as we want.

Very nice place to stay in Cuenca for free! Close to a nice park where you can exercise and the quietest place we ever sleep. There is only space for 2 or 3 cars to park, but could fit a big rig. It’s in front of a kindergarten. We felt safe! No facilities.

As nice as described. 20 Min walk along the river to old city via puente roto. We had a quiet night on a Saturday with two cars.

Report Check-In

Awesome!! Felt really safe and was quiet. During the day there is a security guard, in the night not, but it felt safe. You can walk 20-30 minutes along the river to the city center or take a cab / use inDriver for 3-4 USD (Uber doesn't serve Cuenca).

Perfect spot for free camping in the city. Very safe... security is kind. We gave a tip when we left. Stayed here for 3 nights while we dealt with some dental issues (ugh)! No services! Fairly level parking! Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk! Pet friendly (on a leash) to walk and play in the park.

Report Check-In

Still a fantastic spot! No public wifi, but there are free restrooms in the park and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Many curious and friendly locals who will say hello when they see open doors. It’s a very easy spot to hop into town and little traffic throughout the night. We met a few overlanders here and had a great time!

Report Check-In

Best street parking during our trip. Very quiet, safe...hardly any cars passing. Good find!

Report Check-In

Great town spot. It's also nature because you are along the river and with a lot of grass space. Quiet at night except rare barking dogs. Don't bother and near a big park. Recommend.

Very nice place to stay in thia beautiful city. Free, quiet and safe (we leave our van all the day and we go to the center, no problem)

Report Check-In

Free parking, very quiet during the night and safe. Close to the river.
Bathrooms inside the university, no more free wifi

Good place to stay. Quite quiet in the night. Places to find from 7pm. Free wifi but not very good (only whatsapp not internet). Quite close to the centre (1.5$ in taxi). Give 1$ to the person who manages the parking.

Report Check-In

Everything perfect, nice place to stay, very quiet on weekends. During the week you'll wake up at 7 but quiet at night. Most of the time there's some security around watching so we felt safe.
It's also in walking distance to some nice places (Bleecker's NY Pizza, and Taita Panadería, both in IOverlander) where you can get some food.

If you want you can give a dollar to the security guy but nobody charged us.

Report Check-In

We stayed here a couple of nights, it's a great place! There is security throughout the day, the river and ample green space right next to it. The wifi of the university only work for google products (mail, maps etc), all other pages and apps are blocked. It's about half an hour walk away from the town center and around 10min walk to the next mini market.
We stayed 5 nights and weren't bothered by anybody. Only thing you need to get used to are the joggers early in the morning

Report Check-In

Stayed there for a couple of nights. Very safe and nice place. Great Wifi and toilets in the university. Further than this the park is really nice to practice sports and also have portable water available 🌍🚙👏
