Description

Great spot right on beach. Hostel was full so we were not allowed to use the kitchen but we could use everything else. Owner, Lief, pulled out a 50 foot extension cord so we could plug in. Rentable surf boards, kayaks and paddle boards. (Kayak $20/day) Large grass/gravel place to park. Clean $7 US PP per night.

Tried to camp with our truck camper. Asked someone and they said there is no hostel here.Maybe it closed down during Pandemic.

Report Check-In

Nice hostel as described. Parking a bit far from the beach but not bad. Clean and quiet. It’s $7,15 pppn to camp. There’s a cheap market about 10 min driving towards Caña, at an intersection.

best Spot in venao we stayed for a Week.... Owner is Australian and keen to have a chat...He is living next door with his wife and three Kids.... right next to the beach and super quite.... proper surf right in Front of the Hostel. only downside are the sandflys during rainy season....WiFi is super fast and easy to watch Netflix or YouTube. 100% recommend and would goback for sure

Beautiful beachfront hostel and campsite. Equipped kitchen and different hammock areas, barbecue and showers.

You can find this place if you turn on the hostel filter, but it is also a great place to camp! 5 hectares of beautiful land next to the beach. Electricity available with a long cord if you ask the owner Liev. You can use the communal kitchen and cold shower and toilets. Great place for surfing/relaxing. Boards for rent (7$ per hour or 15$ per day). Highly recommended. Big rigs possibility and a lot of shade!

Report Check-In

Nice hostel, beachfront. It was crowded when we stayed, friendly staff and nice people. Kitchen is small but they keep it clean. No water and electricity available for camping spots. Pet friendly

Really cool spot! Dog friendly and all the staff are fantastic! I stayed under the tree outside in my van for about four nights 7 per night. This includes electric hook up with a long cord, good wifi and great kitchen and bathrooms/showers, (cleaned daily). Made some cool friends amongst the other guests during my time there and caught some killer waves at the beach break in front of the lighthouse in town. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for two nights with our truck camper. We were able to plug in at the reception area and camp right next to the main building. We payed 10$ p/p during holiday season and 7$ pp after. Bathrooms were clean and staff was super friendly. Kitchen and BBQ facilities are available. The large property offers a small playground for kids and some workout areas for adults. We enjoyed our time here.

Great place as per all descriptions. I would just add to be prepared for best chitras/sand fleas, zancudos, and mosquitos. Got pretty chewed up here.

Best place we have paid to stay at in Panama so far. This place is nice. Comfy hammoks all around, nice bathrooms, and showers. WiFi works pretty good. Staff is nice. We slept in our truck camper and could plug in. It's in a parking spot adjacent to hostel. We plugged in with our extension cord. Dog was welcome. Kitchen is nice. Good beginner surf spot. We are paying $7 for both of us. I even double checked that's for both of us. There is a vegi truck Monday and Thursday, and a resturant right in front Wednesday -Sunday otherwise you need to bring your own stuff in. Las Tablas is the last large grocery stores.

Srill $7 per person for camping. You camp/park in a large gravel camping area under the trees. clean toilets and showers in the hostel and have access to a well kitted out large kitchen as well. Wi-Fi reaches the camping area and was fine during our stay. The hostel is at the quieter end if the beach which is nice. restaurant on site is rather fancy/pricy not really overlander approved, good craft beers though. But our friends ate there and only had good things to say. Great beach for surfing, not crowded and you can pick size of the wave you want...swell gets bigger further down the beach towards the lighthouse.

stock up on booze and food before you get here, your options are limited and expensive.

Great hostel and highly recommended stay. Leif the owner is a super friendly aussie guy who will do his best to help you enjoy your stay.

Camping is no longer on beach; it is now kitty corner across the driveway with little shade and has no hookups. They let us park under the trees between the tent camping and the white cabanas and we plugged into cabana; there is also a hose there for water. No ocean view and ground is not raked here. Lief gave us a weekly rate of $80 for two people. Banos in hostel are clean, have seats and TP. Wifi crapped out at times. Same password for RANCHO as hostel mentioned previously. No mas movil reception but Movistar works. There is now a restaurant here called Panga which has meals from $10-18 closed in Mon-tues. We did not try.

Hostel at the beach, owned by Australian guy. Huge property with tent camping underneath palapa at the beach. We parked our van on a grassy spot underneath a tree. Could just see the ocean from there. Nice communal area with hammocks, tables and chairs and kitchen. Clean toilets (with TP) and showers. Wifi good, did reach our van as well. US$ 14 for 2 persons and a van. US$ 6 for a big load of wash, done by their housekeeping crew and delivered back at the van.

Super relaxed place

Superbe camping tout près de la mer. Le propriétaire est très gentil et s'occupe vraiment bien de sa propriété. 7$ par personne et les enfants ne paient pas.
Wonderful place by the beach. We used the kitchen and everyone was very friendly. The Owner is very nice and make sure everyone is happy. Totally recommend it.

This is an excellent place to stay and chill out, lot's of shade, a bar with basic drinks at a sensible price, a well equipped Kitchen, good Wifi and everything is very clean. The owner and staff can not do enough to make your stay enjoyable. Glen the Aussie Biker

Amazing. Stayed here for 2 weeks. Great place to learn surfing, owners are smashing people. This hostel has the cheapest beer and snacks in the beach.... Otherwise we recommend stocking up in Pedasi before hand.
This is one of the best run hostels we have come across, ever.

They also have 4 really nice appartments with full kitchen and van, ocean view and breeze. It is really amazing spot, the best place to relax after long travel. The owner and the staff is really helpful and careing. They are planning to open a restaurant next month, but there are many other restaurants on the beach.
