To the side of dirt road in BLM land. Very soft sand but established clear spaces where previous individuals appear to have camped. ATT service present with LTE speed. No trees/shade. Main road (89) is visible from where we stayed.
Big rigs can manage but I would recommend scouting ahead if possible.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed on the gravel pull off right next to the BLM road instead of at a campsite, because I was only there one night and left early the next morning. I didn't want the hassle of the sandy road in the rain just to sleep for the night.
Obviously right next to the road had some road noise, but the pull off seemed pretty safe and was pretty level.
good for 1 night
Old paved road off 89- bumpy and slow going but not to far in there are good camp sights- a road breaks off to left and there’s a. Rick’s that is flat and makes for good sights. Fairly close to road and can hear traffic when outside can. Views are beautiful! No services.
Report Check-InGreat spot for an over night stay safe and pretty quiet. You do hear the cars on the road but there are so few driving by so it’s no big deal.
Report Check-InWe camped here for the night. Road is ok but be careful with the sides, it's sand and you'll get stuck.. we buried our front axle and had to lock the transfer case to pull out in reverse.
There was Visible/Verizon data, and it was fine, couldn't test much of it as it was a quick overnight for us, but I think it would be fine for remote work.
