Argentina
Ranger station. We heard that one might camp there, but no facilities
Edit May 2019 :
After getting some information from the very friendly ranger we asked if we could sleep near the Mirador, at the entrance of the Laguna. He said we are not allowed to sleep there but we are welcome if we need to sleep at the parking area in front their house. He gave us access to toilets, water tap, and WiFi. Nice stop if you are passing in this area.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The place is actually open 0900 to 1600. We spent a lonely and quiet night next to the Rangers station before registering to enter the natural area the following day. Thousands of flamingos visible from a distance only
Report Check-InYou can spend the night by the Ranger's house and visit the Laguna during the day. There is nature, silence, animals and you.
What a place!

Report Check-InWhat a wonderful place in Puna.
No tourist, the Park just for us !
Possible to spend the night close to houses but we prefer to camp after the 7km of road to join the entrance of park.
Peaceful night with a lot of stars and wake up with lamas close to the van !
Perfect !!!
C’est possible d’y passer la nuit (tente ou van). Rangers très sympas, beaucoup de conseils. Attention pour aller au lac, la route est praticable uniquement avec 4*4 à cette période de l’année.
Report Check-InWe were allowed to camp on the parking, near the river bridge or beside the ranger station. There is a simple toilet, but nothing else. No camping on the track to the lake! Lots of birds, flamingos (they keep their distance!), vikunias and Lamas.
