Kori 4 | Established Campground

Big site with several, flat spots to park and some shades. Even a bucket at the shower at the time of writing. Limited view to the Kori pan at least now when it’s bushy, but still some view. Only downside is that the site is right beside the track, so if the other campsites are occupied people will drive past you and you don’t have much privacy. Maybe the site nr.2 could be the best, because it’s at the other, pan’s side of the track and has privacy (not right beside the road like this). But there was no other ppl here now, so very nice.
Could hear jackals, hyenas and lions calling at night and early morning before sunrise.
Track to Deception pan and Valley in good condition atm. The track from Leopard pan very narrow at times even for a Defender, otherwise good.
Price is now 40 pula pppn (foreigners), 30 pula pppn (SADC). Must be booked in advance through DWNP.

Remote and rustic wilderness camp with a distant view of Kori Pan. Many birds will visit you if you offer water. A primitive long-drop-toilet and nothing else but nature. Access from Rakops to Matswere Gate and further on is ok with some scratches on the truck from branches. Also south to Deception Pan the track is ok, north to Sunday Pan and Leopard Pan it gets very narrow.

We stayed at CKKOR 04, Kori No.04 for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The campsite is nicely flat, some trees for shade around. This site is more open/larger than Kori 01 for example, especially during this time of the year (rainy season, lot of high grass around). No water, only pit toilet.
Current guests are barn owls and ground squirrels.

Very nice spot. Must be booked in advance through DWNP. Price is 30 Pula per person per night.
