Botswana
Nice partly fenced Campsites with basic ablution (donkey for hot water). Although basic, we really liked this place.
Price update Febr 2023: P170 pp.

Basic campsite, price is 340 Pula for two. Restaurant with food a la carte. Everything nice!
Report Check-InVery friendly staff, campsites really good and shaded, no water on our sites, clean and tidy bathrooms but needs maintenance. The hot water comes from a donkey and that’s not too bad either, the pressure sucks though. Stayed two separate nights both had a contractor’s radio playing, road noise is not too bad but nevertheless disturbing. All together better than staying in Kang but at a price, we paid 170 Pula per person.
Report Check-InFriendly staff and very helpful. Nice shaded sites with light and electricity point, donkey for hot water, nice clean ablutions. Price still BWP170 pppn. Smallish bundle of wood is BWP40. WiFi not too good and only at reception. Stayed two nights, road noise can be disturbing.
Report Check-InLovely camp ground attached to the main lodge. Restaurant, bar and swimming pool. An amazing oasis.
Report Check-InSplurged on a chalet for $68 for the AC, but it didn't have a mosquito net and certainly needed it! Limited options at the restaurant but food was tasty. Wifi available near the office.
Report Check-InNot too bad, great setting, small bar, WiFi and dinners - not sure of breakfast. Campsites are good but some looked quite run down and the ablution block close to Impala campsite needs work - no toilet seat in one and the shower roses need replacement, also no toilet paper.
Affordable, friendly & a great overnight spot.
Our 2nd time here, and again Kalahari Rest lives up to its name. Easy check in, friendly staff. We love our campsite, Jackal. Lovely sunset. We paid 170 pula per person, quality firewood R40. We enjoyed a peaceful night rest.
Report Check-InIt's cute but at 150/pp, (I asked for a discount) it is far to much for what they are offering. Its very basic, access to hot water for shower is from 5-7am (wood fired water heater). We were only driving through Botswana to get to Namibia, so it was a bit much for the short overnight.
Report Check-InCamping and chalets. Good overnight stop with flush toilets, showers with hot water from donkey. Resturant if desired. Shady campsites with power and braai pits. 170 pula per person
Report Check-InAnd yet another price increase, now P160 pp (febr 2020).
The layout of the campsite is nice and big, shade, electricity in the evening (generator) as well hot water (donkey boiler from around 5pm) and fire pit/braai on your site. Small sit in pool at bar/restaurant.
Place looks tired for the rest. It needs maintenance and love. Been here a couple years ago and difference is sad.
For a stopover between Ghanzi and Kaa gate, the campsite is good and ablution is also ok.
Report Check-InNice site. Yes the wood is 40 Pula. :(
If the reception staff were friendly, this place would be much more pleasant. Convenient location. Ablutions need some TLC
150 BP per person camping and, wait for it, 40 BP for a small bundle of wood (something that is available in abundance around here).
Report Check-InHave massively increased the price! Now 300 Pula for
2 persons. Definitely too much for this place!
Nice Bush campsites with power, table, light and braai pit with grid. WiFi only at the bar. Reasonable ablution, have gone down a bit since my last visit. There was also a problem with water so toilets could not flush and showering near impossible. A bit expensive for what we got @P150pppn. Bundle of good firewood R40.
Report Check-InGood place to take some rest. They started the price with 140 pula pppn, but you can negotiate.
We had dinner and it was good and tasty. The staff is very friendly.
The wildebeest around the camp and reception is grown up here and raised by bottle.
The water from the tap is salty, we filled our jerrycans at the Engen station in Kang.
(Only the pitches further from the ablutions have their own water tap.)
Expensive place! Price is now 130 p pppn. And it's not really worth it although the pitches are not bad. No water tap at the pitches as stated in other comment but pitches are quite big and well maintained. Haven't seen/used the bar, pool or wifi (only available at the bar). Staff was very friendly but they didn't mention anything about the game park. The road is nearby so there is some noise from that. Wildebeest and impala roam the campsite which is nice. Ablutions are okay. All in all not a bad campsite but to expensive.
Report Check-InAs below, nice camp sites, bar great! Water hot! They have a private game park which you can self drive around for no extra cost.
Report Check-InA lovely place now with ok ablutions, hot water (donkeys), nice small bar, swimming pool and free Wi-Fi. Every site has running water, fire place, light and electricity pole. 120 Pula pp. We asked for a discount and payed 110 pp. Credit card payment possible
Report Check-InNice partly fenced Campsites with basic ablution (donkey for hot water). Although basic we really liked this place. No Wi-Fi. Price 200 Pula per night for 2 persons and a car.
