exit Namibia extremely quick and easy, max 5min! the custums didn't want to stamp our CPD out because they said Namibia and Botswana are the same zone, however Bostwana stamped us in.....

Report Check-InLady checking the vaccination certificates quite rude. My husband's certificate had his name 'Johann' on and not his birthnames 'Johannes Handrik' and she gave us some grief. Also had a problem with the fact that mine still had my maiden name on, she insisted on a marriage certificate which we luckily had with us.
Report Check-InEntering Namibia by bicycle, German passport. Took 5 minutes. No PCR test necessary as I provided full vaccination documentation.
No money changers around.
Report Check-InStill easy post. Open from 7am till midnight. They check whether you have a valid, negative covid test.
Report Check-InThrough this gate on Namibian side within 5 minutes. We filled in the immigration forms before we arrived at the border post which we we obtained from the East Gate Rest camp reception.
Report Check-InVery easy border crossing. Got stamped out of Namibia and into Botswana in 10 min. Very friendly and helpful staff on both sides. Road Permit, Road Fund and Insurance for double entry to Botswana 217 BWP. Best and easiest Border we have had so far.
Report Check-InThe place is a mess! Long lines. Hours of waiting. Apparently they implemented a new electronic finger printing system in December. Horrible timing! With only one person at the counter! After waiting 2 hours (Some folks told us they’d waited 5!) without much movement some of the crowd got restless and started breaking into the queue. It was getting rowdy. We decided to go back to Botswana before getting caught in the dark.
Report Check-InQuick and easy border crossing. Botswana road fund 150 Pula or 210 R. Credit card payment possible. No one checked our car on meat or other products. There's a petrol station and small shop just before the border.
