From Lesotho to South Africa. Passports were stamped on both sides without any problems. But..., there was a big and long discussion on the South African side because we (foreign car) didn't have this license plate (disc) on the windscreen. They wanted to fine us ZAR 1,500. We somehow managed to calm things down by telling them that we would buy one in the next town.

SA to Lethoso, only fee was 75 Rand for car entry at the border toll booth. coming back no fees for SA car entering SA. leaving Lethoso they handle the passports at the window while your in your car.

The fastest border crossing we ever had. 10 Min. for all. Just fast stamps in the passports. No lines.

Hassle free on both sides but extremely crowded on the RSA side.
Leaving Lesotho you can just drive up to the gate and hand over your passport to the person at the window. Done in a minute!
