Got a note on my van that said no overnight camping allowed on town streets

Report Check-In

Good for one night to or from the national park. The city is great to explore old wooden sidewalks (reminded me of Jackson Hole) but this is just a no frills parking lot.

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night, got a warning on the windshield. Didn't see any signs in the area

Report Check-In

I stand corrected. The town of Grand Lake left a Courtesy Note stating NO Overnight Parking. Darn. what harm is it?

Report Check-In

got here at midnight and when I was up by 6am there was a warning on my window when I woke up saying no overnight camping allowed on town streets. was parked in the lot with several RV parking spaces

it's so nice to arrive to a town that allows a few days of parking with no hassle. This RV parking area next to downtown gave us time to go walking around downtown and visit all the shops and restaurants. Thank you Grand Lake! it's nice to feel welcome and your town is beautiful ❤️

Report Check-In

Didn’t see any signs. It is open now. A few other overnighters. Plenty of food options walkable. Nice find.

Report Check-In

RV parking is open. most spots slightly unlevel, but a few are level.

Solid overnight.....spent the night here to setup for playing in RMNP. Did a second night on the way out.

Stopped through town to do some hiking. Didn't stay, but this place appears to be open now

It's close for work at the moment. We couldn't get access to it.

Report Check-In

It's open again! I spent 2 peaceful overnights in the parking lot on my own. ENJOY!!

Unfortunately there is a new sign up now; see pic. Only “unoccupied RV parking allowed by permit only”. Even Google Maps still shows the old sign in its street view picture so this must have been recently updated since the last stay the end of May 2020. Bummer.

Report Check-In

Fairly large parking lot with several RVs, trailers and cars. Right in the middle of town. Good 4g coverage.
3 minutes to the National park West gate.

Report Check-In

Great quiet location. Perhaps a little too much light but doable. Right in the middle of town. Superb

Report Check-In

Good spot for a night. The town is super cute but most of the restaurants and shops are now closed for the season (October 2019)

Report Check-In

Fair sized parking lot on the corner of Hancock street and Park Ave. 6 or 7 large RV spots, a fair amount of smaller spots too for vans and trucks. Looked better than the library/town hall down the road and here had signs specifically saying it is ok for self contained rvs to park for 48 hrs.
