Quiet campsite just outside Paternoster. Great place with clean ablutions but no other facilities. Watch the weather because it can be very windy here. When it is calm is it a very nice place to camp right at the sea. Price is 250 Rand per night for 2 persons and a car. No electricity.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice and wild area on coastline BUT ablutions are horrific (dirty and broken) and the camp itself not clean.
I collected a full plastic bag of rubbish just to clean my site before camping. Pay R267 for 2 including entrance in the reserve.
Perfect camping spot next to the beach. No Power but water available at spots. Highly recommended
Report Check-InColumbine Nature Reserve. You can camp everywhere along the coast after the gate. Beautiful beaches and rocky parts. Dixi toilets everywhere. Overnight price 250 ZAR per vehicle, day fee 29 ZAR pp. At roadsend at Tietiesbaai ablutions, Brasilien etc.
Report Check-InStill 250 rand per spot per night. At some parts of the park there is a ablution building with showers (cold). nice view over the ocean. very quit.
Report Check-InBeautiful place, but on a windy day its probably not that nice. its hard to find shelter from the wind.
Its very basic, but the location and the amazing views make up for it.
Report Check-InVery nice situated primitive campground with many sites at the rugged coast in Columbine Nature Reserve. There are clean restrooms and many braai sites. The coast, the vegetation and the waves are really great. H+ MTN signal. 100 ZAR pp.
Report Check-InWild coast with beautiful rocks and a little beach. Some places have good wind protection. Nice hike along the coast. A place you shouldn't miss!
Report Check-InAmazing place. R250 for an overnight stay. “Wild camp” next to the ocean. Stayed for the weekend with lots of other campers. Ablutions are good enough. Water is slightly hotter than cold
Report Check-InNice "bush camp" on the beach. It is a simple campsite. Very nice scenery with the wild clean and waves. Can very windy.
We were lucky to have warm water.
The price is R 250 per site.
Arrived late the security guy let us in. The first camping area passed restaurant looked grotty and loud music. But further into reserve along coast there are many spots among boulders. Some portaloos now.
Report Check-InIt is summertime, so this place is nearly fully booked. We have checked in saturday after 6 pm for one night and maybe we get the last plot toward the sea. There are many old mussles and amazing rocks on seaside. It is a very nice place! Even if there are so many people.
Report Check-InVery quiet camp site inside the nature Park. In off season during the week there was only 1 other car. The place looks rough but beautiful, directly next to the rocks at the sea. There's also a small sand beach in the Camp site. No fence or visible guard but they confirmed they have security and also close the gate to the park at night. Ablutions are simple (no toilet paper) but clean.
Getting there and booking: Enter there nature reserve at Seekombuis restaurant (-32,8172041, 17,8658720), no charge. From there it's 10 min drive, no 4x4 required. Somebody will come in a 4x4 and collect your money, either in the evening or in the morning or if he doesn't come you pay at the exit (or so we were told).
We paid 232,80 Rand for 1 car and 2 ppl.
Report Check-InWe paid 202 R for 2 persons. There were hot showers perhaps because it's summertime and the day was sunny. It's sun power
Report Check-InBeautiful campground on the beach with great views of the ocean and sunset. No grass, shade or electricity. Ablutions ok but far from campsites. Restaurant at entrance to campground. R167 per nite off season.
Report Check-InGreat palace! Marvelous view of the waves crashing into the rocks. Part of a conservation and you pay a fee at the entrance. For us (3 ppl, 1 car and a bike) the fee was 167 rand. Definitely worth your time
Report Check-Inamazing place with the sea just in front of you! at 6 kilometers from Paternoster. hot showers, clean and numerous toilets. very quiet! we love it! 2 prices : one from monday to thursday, and another one for friday, saturday and sunday. we paid 164 per site ( saturday,2 people,1 car).
Report Check-InA marvellous place! If you love high waves splashing on enormous rocks, you shouldn't miss it! We stayed here in winter and were nearly alone on the site.
Report Check-InSimply gorgeous! The ablution blocks are dated but who cares for that beautiful spot. We were alone here but I guess in summer time it's pretty busy here. It might also be not that nice if the weather doesn't play along.
Paid 104R for three of us for a night. (price most likely per site)
Quite campsite just outside Paternoster. Great place with clean ablution but no other facilities. Watch the weather because it can be very windy here. When it is calm is it a very nice place to camp right at the sea. Price was 131 Rand per night for 2 persons and a car no electricity.
