Table Mountain Cable Car | Tourist Attraction

We paid 340 pp to go up + return. Uber drivers available all the time (day light at least) to go back in town if you didnt bring your car. Very well organised activity. There was no queue going up when we were there but it could be a looooooooong waiting time in high season (multiple hours). Restaurant, bar and souvenir shop available up on the mountain. Dont go there when its cloudy, would be pointless. Fantastic views over the town and the cape. If you choose to walk, be prepared for a very steep ascent. By foot or by cablecar, its an highligt in whole Africa and a must go for every overlanders !

Prices raised to 291 ZAR pp (or 271 ZAR when going after 1 pm) return and 151 ZAR pp one way. So we also did the climb up. Took us 1,5 hours to get to the top via Patteklip Gorge. On the top of course lots of tourists, but spectacular views!

We hiked up and took the Cable down. Don't underestimate the Hike because it just looks like a small Hill ;) It took us around two Hours to the Top on a steep Track (Plattecliff Gorge, one of the Main Tracks). The One Way Ticket down was 135 ZAR per Person! Last Cable at 6 pm.
