Eswatini
Border between Swaziland and South Africa.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
SA to Eswatini on a motorbike:
Brazilian citizen with Brazilian plated motorcycle, on carnet. I was concerned customs would not stamp the carnet out, but the lady only said that, as normally they don't process internationals at this border, she needed to check on the computer. Very quick, then she stamped CPD out (I had already processed my passport at immigrations). Upon entering Eswatini, after stamping passport, paid road tax with my card (100R) and customs stamped my carnet in. I had too explain the lady how to do it, but she was very kind and proactive. Everything- both borders- didn't take more than 30 minutes. As soon as you cross to Esw, there are 2 fuel stations and a big Shoprite, at which side there's the store to purchase local sim card for your phone. Ladies were very helpful, and activated my card.
SA to Swaz, solo USA citizen, 4x4 rental
SA: easy, no issues, pretty quick
Swaz: R100 for a road tax, they also reviewed all my vehicle paperwork in detail and made copies of everything. You should have your vehicle registration, letter of approval from the bank if the vehicle is being financed, proof of insurance, and a letter from the owner if renting (preferably on company letterhead) stating you are approved to drive the vehicle. Also make sure the registration disk on your windshield is up to date, they scrutinized this on my car.

Report Check-InWe crossed the border from SA and got our Covid Test stamped in order to be valid for 14 days since testing date.
Report Check-InIf you don’t get your carnet stamp here, you can have it done at the airport in Jo’burg. It is marked where to find it.
Report Check-InThey would only give us a 7 days visa as we entered SA by road. Immigration officer in charge told us that we could only get 90 days, if we arrive by plane from our origin country.
We drove to Lrundiz border (25 km south) and got 90 days without any problems (but they don’t have costumes here and therefore couldn’t stamp carnet). We drove back on SA side, but they wouldn’t sign carnet here, as they claim it is only to be stamped in when entering SA custom union, for us this was Swaziland.
Fast and easy border. Crossing into Swazi all you need is road tax. You do not need to stamp carnet as Swazi is in south African customs union. If you are going to Mozambique might be different. Took less than 20 minutes.
Report Check-InEasy border but be aware they don't want to stamp your carnet out, we had a hard time but eventually they did stamp it out as one of our carnets expired the day after. They showed us a list with border crossings where they do stamp the carnet. Oshoek was not on that list.
