Description

Campestre La Pila is an RV Park located in the Midway town of Ciudad Constitucion wich is a great spot to rest between the long and tiring stretch between Loreto and La Paz... Constitucion is a hub and a turnoff to Mag Bay´s whale watching San Carlos and Lopez Mateos towns, kayaking mangrove swamp areas, incredible fishing, bird watching, beautifull dunes and islands. Also is point of entry to beautifull missional towns full of surprises as Los Comondús, La Purísima and San Isidro and of course the world famous surf cathedral of Scorpion Bay.
Campestre La Pila RV Park is a vast green and grassy property that includes multiple tree shades with a big 3500 sq. ft. swimming pool and a smaller one for the kids, we have a BBQ area available for your service, also a nice green Camping Area. We have now propane Hot Showers available 24/7 as well as Flush toilets and running water service all around the campground; All common areas have WI-FI service.
You can park near the swimming pools at our many Dry Camping spots or make use of ten Full Hook Ups slots and a Dump Station. We are in a private ranch one kilometer away from the highway so you can be sure you will be in a safe and noiseless property; Just head west from "LEY Supermarket" for half a mile and you will find us.
We can arrange special services for Groups & Caravans as Whale Watching packages, local entertainment shows, Bar & Food service. We can provide info about Missional towns in the area, Kayaking Spots, basics to Scorpion Bay, mechanical workshops for repairs, groceries, propane, restaurants or special services... Just ask for Karen or Roberto, they will be more than happy to help you in your journey.

Very nice, family run campground. Clean washrooms, hot showers, dry camping or sites with full hook-ups. A beautiful pool that is used on certain evenings by the local swim club, yoga classes on certain evenings and mornings. A beautiful spot.

If you are a birder, the App Merlin picked up 37 species in one morning, not including the Great Horned Owl we heard at night. Truly an oasis in the middle of the desert. A great spot to use as a base to explore the area, or as a rest stop between Loretto and La Paz.

Report Check-In

Prices have gone up to $280p dry camp and $350p electrical and water. Maybe it’s because they are reviving the place?? Looked like a newish climbing wall for youngsters. Lots of entertaining areas but closed off and far from the camping area. The dirt/ dusty parking lot does leave along to be desired. A load of round gravel would do slot to make the camp areas much better. The pool with the slide was full of leaves so dang swim in it. Husband said his shower didn’t get more than lukewarm. Women’s showers were warm but full of mosquitos. The reception spoke no English. Loose dogs woke us up in the evening and rummaged through the garbage bins of all the camping areas. We decided on the site with water and electrical, but the threads are cross threaded and we didn’t want to wreck our hose so didn’t use the water. Our campsite would have just become mud anyways. A launder room and an Rv washing area would really be great upgrades. (We had just come from data of dirt roads and really could have used a rinse). We did use the lap swimming pool to cool down and let kids play. Sadly, I’d recommend looking at other spots in town unless all of this sounds enjoyable.

Report Check-In

Safe and somewhat clean outside of town. The facility is showing its age but considering it is Baja, meets our needs.

No other campers, nice host. Hot water in shower not working.

Good logistical stop to resupply

Report Check-In

Nice place to stop for a night. Very friendly staff. They gave us a discount without asking for it. We had a quiet night (we were the only guest). They have wifi at the office but slow.

Report Check-In

The place is ok but we were here Friday to Sunday and in the night there was a nightmare, horrible, looks like there no gate so locals come to party. Maybe OK on the weekdays but I will not recommend it especially for someone travelling alone, we really do not care much as we have our private security - our Dogo Argentino.

Report Check-In

Found it easily with other campers instructions. I visited in the off season and was the only camper. I parked in the big rig section, very little shade but had plenty of room to open my awning. Bathrooms and showers were clean. They let me swim after it closed to the public (6pm). I counted 4 loose dogs in the evening so I kept my dogs tethered. Great view of the sky for stargazing and Starlink signal (260 Mbps). VERY dusty but an enjoyable experience. Open ground electric.

Report Check-In

Hard to find if you follow Google maps. Takes you around the field on and on. If you take the first road to the right { a dirt road doesn’t look like much) past Lays market- then you can find it. Clean grounds in general. Pool cold. Hot shower in men’s bathroom but not women’s. Okay for overnight. Safe field roads around for walking a dog, but trash is all around.

Report Check-In

280 pesos that I was delighted to pay.

Hot showers and a lawn to play with my dog on?

Beautiful palm trees? A hose to fill up my tank and wash my vehicle?

Plus, the couple running it are delightful. Absolutely great!

Yes, the parking lot is dusty (below critics). It's sand! HELLO! This is an oasis in a desert!

Will be stopping here again!

Report Check-In

Essentially, it’s a garden with a couple pools and outbuildings surrounded by a dusty dirt parking lot. Where do you camp? The parking lot. Nothing special about that at all.

Report Check-In

We attempted to find this park through this app. GPS led us on a wild goose chase down single lane dirt roads that required 4WD.

Report Check-In

everything is clean and it's quiet. cost is 280 pesos for camping including hot shower and sanidump... very nice people speak good English and helped us find a mechanic to fix our van.

Report Check-In

We read all the good messages about this place, but unfortunately we have got another opinion. The place did not looked well kept, the showers were dirty and there was not hot water. The toilets were not clean, they were full of mosquitos as well. Until 21.15 loud music was played because of some fitness class or dance class. Three times we went to the office to pay, either the owner was not there of the office was closed. We were with three campers, so somebody must have seen us, nobody came to us. Eventually we shoved the money under the door because we didn't want to leave without paying. We don't recommend this place at all if it is like this.

Report Check-In

As described before… it’s a pretty nice place to stop for the night. It is dusty, the Wi-Fi isn’t very good, it’s a little $$$$, and the main bathrooms are currently out of order. But it is clean, appears safe, and the people are very nice.

Report Check-In

Sweet little campground. Not much shade but a big grassy area by the pool. We were the only ones here. Wifi works fairly well by the office/pool as well. Super nice owners!

Report Check-In

Nice property with many amenities. Too bad it's run down and in need of repair. Pools are great. Electric at campsite is NOT grounded and metal around equipment doesn't provide ground either. GPS coordinates from iOverlander put this place in Colombia...

Report Check-In

Nice RV Park. Toilets and showers clean. Very friendly staff!!

Report Check-In

Great location with easy access from Hwy 1. 250 pesos with or without hookups. We stayed in the back without, in a lovely grassy area near the pool and palm trees. Did not use bathrooms. The hookup area is extremely dusty.

Report Check-In

Nice campground if you want/need a place to stay in Constitucion. We stayed by the pool and the “RV” locations are in a dusty area. Great shade and grassy area for the dog to play on.

Report Check-In

This is my 3rd stay in 2022, and I still enjoy the place. But looking back to 2020, I see the decline in maintenance & up keep. Examples being the main restrooms have been InOp for the season. Also, the pool isn’t looking too sparkly these days. It’s still a great place to overnight while resupplying, just not as good as it was originally. $250MX/night w/ electricity.

Report Check-In

Really nice grounds except for the RV part which is basically a big flat dusty area with 15 amp and water. I was the only one there. If you’re you don’t need hookup the dry camp spots are much better. Re e other
Pool is a little chilly for me. Probably nice in the summer. Showers were warm at best. Toilets and sinks were closed but o had to go and used it anyway and everything was working. I went there because reviews were better than the other parks in town. Kinda hard to find. Stopped at the Super Ley grocery store for directions and the street to get there was right there. Follow it west until the end and you’ll see a bunch of talk plan trees. From my gate was closed and entrance was a little west where the caretaker’s house is.

Report Check-In

We stayed her a couple years ago and it met our needs very well. Clean pool, hot showers, etc. This trip had a few glitches. We felt safe. The washrooms were clean. One had to look for the hot vs cool showers (there’s both) - and the water took awhile to heat up but - clean and hot. The down sides that we didn’t experience last time - low grade pervasive unpleasant odour permeated the camp. We think perhaps from their septic system? And the toilet did not flush, it gurgled bubbles and overflowed :( The latter issue may have been due to the torrential downpour that put much of the camp under a few inches of water, and made leaving the campsite and getting back to the highway a challenge this morning.

All that said - we will be back if we are through these areas again.

Report Check-In

Would only use this place as a last resort. It is run down and lacking major maintance. The location is on a back dirt road which can get muddy when it rains. Also lacks shade, the hookups are normal 120v and not grounded. Water comes out rusty in color at the hook ups and the dump area is in bad shape covered in sand and a tarp.
The RV park does not have a secure perimeter and the grounds are over grown, lots of trash around.
Showers are gross and again rust color water will shoot out. The pool is like a community pool, and cloudy which seems not to be very clean.
We did not get a good feeling nor a safe feeling at this RV park.
Also lack of a resturant or food on premises. Would not recommend.

Report Check-In

Nice campground to stop at on Cuidad Constitucion if driving from Loreto to La Paz. Charging 220 pesos for no hookups. Clean bathrooms with hit showers, a swimming pool, weak wifi and even yoga classes. Good cell coverage on Verizon. Hookups available.

Report Check-In

Back again. Water pump broke so no water for showers. There are additional bathrooms without showers by the event stage. Ask before ✔️ in if pump is fixed and showers are available. Ended up showering at the Pemex for $25 pesos per person.

Report Check-In

Our second time here. All still true, but cost is now $220 pesos. Spotty internet but good cell service.

Report Check-In

Paid 220 pesos for two people in a Transporter VW camper van. No one else around.

Report Check-In

You won't get much more for 200pesos per camper than this place! It has two large pools, one shallow, one deep, that you can use any time you please, soo nice and refreshing in the heat!! There's a large number of good showers and toilets. Many communal areas, of tables, chairs, BBQs, shade and power! Access to non-potable water to fill up your tanks. There's also wifi, you just need to be close to the office to use it. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend stopping here. We don't often stay at official campsites but this one was really awesome!

Report Check-In

this is a public Balniero which could get busy
The RV section that looks onto the pool is among palms and the real grass. Bird life and crystal massive pool in this dusty part of Baja is a welcome break Helpfull owners can accomodate

Craft BEER available for the thirsty traveler!!!

Report Check-In

Great rv site, flush toilets, hot showers and strong WiFi at the office. We stayed one night on our way to La Paz. 200 pesos a night

Report Check-In

What a welcome treat in this hot weather! We took advantage of the large pool which is sparkling clean! The showers were great too ... everything about this spot is lovely, including the only 200P fee - and the green square. So happy we found it.

One caution - on one side of the square the sand is quite soft in the middle of the parking area - you just need to pay attention and you’re fine.

Report Check-In

Great Place and all of the latest reviews seem accurate. I enjoyed a 1 night stay to shower and top off battery on electricity. The only negative, many dogs barking tonight, as I type. The pool was an unexpected bonus with gravity chairs to relax in. I have since made a return visit that was equally pleasant.

Report Check-In

This is the third time I've stayed here, and probably not the last. The parking area is a basic dirt lot, but they do have power, water and dump station. What makes it attractive is the green space, the sparkling clean pools, and all the palm trees. That and the fact that the people are friendly, there's wifi, and the bathrooms are clean, with toilet paper, soap and even paper towels. It's quiet, too - well away from the road.

Report Check-In

I think this place is an oasis on a straight and desolate hi way. The pool and surrounding area are fabulous. Kids playground and kiddy pool, plus a Olympic size for the grown ups. Real grass and trees. The parking lot that you park in can be dusty, windy or muddy. We here ain’t no gravel! If the conditions are such you may wanna go elsewhere. We really like the pool when the weather is right. The showers you gotta make sure the propane is on, and the switch is on the flash water heater

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay. The man taking the money said that there were hot showers, but one of us had a hot shower but the water ran cold after that. Bathrooms are very nice. The wifi is quite decent. Overall quiet and I would recommend it. Oh, there is a pool but did not use it.

Report Check-In

Hello
Yep it seems a good place.
We stop on this dusty parking and I visit the place.
It's correct.
But the price is for one or two persons, it was more 60 pesos for each children.
We are 5 and we just need to sleep one night, and the price was 380, so we find an other place cheaper.
If you use the swimming pool it's a good place, but your rv is park in a dusty place.

Report Check-In

A hell of a let down after all the great Playa and Pueblo Magico camping. But, yes, flush toilets, showers, wifi, pools - but all well past prime and pretty shabby. Not particularly good value at 200 pesos, but a safe place for one night between Loreto area and La Paz area.

Report Check-In

It’s all been said. Beautiful pools, warm enough to swim in December. Only two of the many showers were hot, but there is signage letting you know which ones. $200/night.

Report Check-In

Oasis! Beautiful grounds. $200. pso hookups/water. Glad to be off the main Mex 1 road, tucked in with trees, grassy area. Big field to let our dogs run. Giant pools. Nice owner. Easy to get to, turn West by the Ley. Lots of space for many rigs.

Report Check-In

nice place. hot showers, plenty of room to camp. Anna, the host was very nice and helpful. I was traveling on motorcycle and I stayed under the large canopy due to possible rain. there are 2 large clean pools and multiple BBQs spread around. Very quiet. She charged 150 per Moto, no electricity or hook up needed.

Report Check-In

Two swimming pools, BBQ and camping area, green grassy campground. Flush toilets in restrooms and hot water showers available. Good Wi-Fi signal, just ask for password at registration.
Ten full hook up slots and dump station, also lots of great spots for Dry camping near the green areas and swimming pools.

Report Check-In

Good, clean bathrooms. Extremely fine sand makes it dusty. We were here on a weekday, not to many people on the balneario durong the day, and we were the only campers at night. Coordinates are fine, but Google Maps tried to take us through a dirt road that does not exist anymore. A noisy car doing rounds every 2 hours kept waking us up (not sure, but it seems like the place's security)

Report Check-In

Nice landscaping with palms and grassy area. Pools look nice, small playground. No one else here but feels safe, someone was in the office. It’s on the outskirts of town. Bathrooms clean, flush toilets. Shower not hot. $200 pesos a night.

Report Check-In

As described- more quite than the campground in town along the MEX1; we liked It here,stayed 3.nights while some car repair in town; nice area and the restrooms are simple but maintained every day; 200Pesos for 2people/ night dry site;

Report Check-In

Nice place . we were the only one .
Be aware that a orange lead was offered to connect electricity .
Unfortunately , this lead had 220v . Now my fridge is dead . Please check before connecting .
At reception they said that they knew it was 220 . But " gardener " told me it was oke .

Very nice people. We’re the only one and could park close to the swimming pool.
Good place to rest. You can install you chairs on the grass in the shade
Would highly recommend it

huge dusty Spot with lots of space but nobody around. you have to honk if you want to camp. 200 pesos

Report Check-In

Nice campground. We were almost alone there. Pool and bathrooms were pretty dirty. Paid 200 Pesos for one night.

Report Check-In

big dusty area for RV parking, the site is ok but the showers and toilets are a bit dirty and run down. none of the male showers (x4) had shower heads just a pipe sticking out of the wall (cold water only).
very disappointed in the facilities as the owners are nice and the pool is well maintained ,(lots of locals come and swim, swimming lessons etc) 200 pesos for dry camping.

Report Check-In

Beautiful grounds. Clean restrooms and showers. No hot water. Great WiFi and lovely pools. We had the place all to ourselves.

Report Check-In

Very nice and beautiful place with two pools and lots of palms. The staff is very friendly and all the hooks work perfect: water, electricity and wify. The restrooms are clean and the shower is warm. We really recommend this place to stop by !

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night, arrived at 8pm no one was around. Next morning - still no one so we didn’t pay anything, not entirely sure what the deal is as all the gates are open but no one home. Only used toilets and showers which are fine and the property is quite nice :)

Report Check-In

We have tried to camp at this spot twice now- the first time we couldn’t find It bc you have to basically drive through the town dump to reach It. The second time we found It, circled the parking lot, and left.

It’s a very run down dirt lot with no shade, and there were no other vehicles to be seen. We’ve heard It’s 200 pesos, but the other RV park on the north end of town is only 300 pesos and has lovely shaded sitting areas, a clean pretty pool, and an owner that clearly puts a lot of care into the place. For us the extra 100 pesos was well worth It.

Report Check-In

Descriptions are right. Nice spot. Wifi was good enough to stream video - so nothing to complain about. 200pesos for 2 people

Report Check-In

It's a large dusty parking, mostly level. The garden and pools next to it are simply amazing!
We reached at 4 pm, office was closed, same in the morning, nowhere to pay or get wifi password.

Report Check-In

Great spot to camp, shower and use swimming pools but the WiFi isnt any good. might be able to use Facebook but no chance you will be able to upload anything.

Report Check-In

Dump station was blocked with sand so we moved on.

Report Check-In

Large but dusty dirt lot next to the pools. We were the only ones camping. 200 pesos (100 per person). Loud music playing for the pool crowd, but they turn it off at 6. Swimming was nice, but no hot water in the showers. Wifi worked ok near the office.

Report Check-In

Very big lot, not a lot of shade. Very very dusty. Pools are really nice and there is green space to run in grassy areas around the pool area.We got to watch a local Swimming team practice for a while before jumping in the cold water ourselves when they were done. Wifi was good. Bathrooms clean. Water was not potable according to the gentlemen who signed us in. We actually didn't park at a space with hookups, but backed into the area near the office fence to get some shade. No hot water in showers, shower room was reminiscent of a high school locker room, clean and functional though. $200 mp/night.

Report Check-In

Hot showers (you have to ask which showers have hot water - in afternoon and evening water was hot, in morning colder). Very friendly people in the office - they provided help in repairing our fridge. Wifi good but you have to park near the office. Large pool. We were alone.
