We stayed here for 1 night, very quiet (it was Friday night). Beach is beautiful and almost clean for Peru.
Report Check-InPolice highly recommended moving in front of their station. This is low season and nobody was around, restaurants all closed. Maybe better in high season, people camp on the beach.
Report Check-Inwhat a great place. feels exposed but the people around were very nice. slept wonderfully. only 1 hour to the Chilean border. happy trails!
Report Check-InCamped here for the night on the way to Tacna. We checked in the town square if it was safe and everyone assured us it was tranquilo here. We posted up on the beach and had a wonderful night sleep with the light sound of the waves. Lovely place to wake up. There was a family camping on the beach in tents as well. Recommended.
Report Check-InFelt like a ghost town. No one around in this spot at all, all the houses are locked up. We drove further along and found a couple of restaurants open. Just stayed for lunch.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay for a night! We parked at playa brava ( take your right at the end of the Main Street) ... very quiet, friendly neighbors around, a mercado next to the the main sq... great stop if your day at the border was too long, and you wanna run away from Tacna!!
Report Check-InVery long beach, clean, no one at night, seems that free camping is highly tolerated. We parked on the beach.
Many places to take breakfast in the morning and use the toilets.
Toilets of the beach are closed at night.
No security issues.
Plenty places to stay overnight or an extra day along the beach. Quiet, clean, easy access.
