Camped here in 2018 and now again, place is pretty much the same, but a little more run down. Its not a full hook up as some ppl mentioned, but they do have two or three sites where you could clean your dump. Wifi is very weak, it doesnt work in the camping area without a booster. Electricity is 15amp and AC wont work, dont even try. The restaurant is good, the girls are super polite and friendly, and the view is absolutely amazing. I can see how some gringos might not feel safe with cars arriving late (mostly couples to hook up), but this is a very safe place.

Report Check-In

Great food. Friendly people. As others have mentioned…330 p gets you private hot showers, WiFi, clean bathrooms and a safe beautiful location.

Report Check-In

Toller Platz.
Wir haben 10USD für ein Campingplatz gezahlt. Schönes Restaurant.

Great place.
We paid 10USD for a campsite. Nice restaurant.

Report Check-In

Nice hotel. Restaurant, but kinda pricey for Mexico standards. Got a 700 pesos water facing room. They also have camping parking spots with bbq. 2 miles on a dirt road off highway 1. Can drive down to the water on dirt, not sand. Surfing and fishing is good. Rooms are comfy and clean.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Stayed there because we had to dump.
200 pesos for electricity, water and dump.
The staff is very friendly. We were the only one on the campground and didn’t feel very safe at night as the campground is next to a road and everyone can come by. There were a lot of traffic as it was Friday night and very noisy during the night because the locals came here to party… plus there is trash everywhere…

Report Check-In

nice little spot to camp, it was 330 pesos with access to a room just to shower and use restrooms. staff is friendly and there is a pointbreak down with a wave that probably works well with a south swell. the road to access is not too bad. hardpack with some gravel sections nothing terrible

Report Check-In

Rough but passable road we took it slow in our 21’ 1986 dolphin. Quiet except of the sound of the surf. We got to see the full moon rise over the water which was beautiful. Had dinner at the restaurant. $200 pesos for the campsite. You could pay another $150 for access to one of the hotel rooms with us of the bathroom. Water and electric at each site. The dump is at the end of the ocean view sites. Took a very hot shower. Great place to stop on along the way.

Report Check-In

325 pesos for a room w hot water for the night

wifi is very slow

nice view and staff

Report Check-In

Strange, rustic hotel / campground right at Punta Camalu surf break (begginer break). Camping is 200 pesos per night... no bathroom. Rooms at the hotel are 500 pesos per night. Solid Wi-Fi. Decent margaritas. Close to town.

Report Check-In

We stayed here 2 nights to have a good rest from driving. The view is really pretty and people from the hotel are super nice. We bought fresh fish in the morning to the fisherman that arrived to the beach, it was really good and really cheap. We felt really safe all the time.

Report Check-In

Just as others stated. Power and water at each site. Beach access down the hill. Simple restaurant at the site with mediocre food. Staff is friendly. 200 pesos without bathroom/shower 330 pesos with shower/bathroom. Beautiful sunsets and stars.

Report Check-In

It is what everyone has said. 330 pesos if you want a hot shower and toilet. otherwise 200 pesos. There is a restaurant and bar and everyone was very friendly. Only stayed one night but it is a nice layover and if you haven't had a hot shower in a while it is a bonus.

Report Check-In

hotel being built, looks like, as they get money. camping on a cliff. great view of ocean but not a sunset. 330 peso to have a key for hotel room with a real hot shower and high pressure. lovely when it's been a few days. 200 for just camping no toilet

Report Check-In

Campsites next to hotel and restaurant on sandstone cliff overlooking the ocean. 150 pesos per car for camping without access to toilet, but you can use restaurant bathroom from 8am-9pm. Or 200 pesos for campsite AND a hotel room key to use the bathroom only and get access to private toilet and hot water shower. Bathroom was clean with great water pressure and very hot water. The restaurant has great ocean views to enjoy a few (or several) drinks. Drinks are well priced at 30 pesos for beer and 60 for Don Julio tequila and you get free totopos (chips) and salsa. We were the only ones camping that night and would stay again!

Report Check-In

$200 pesos for a camping spot that comes with a hotel room key for shower and bathroom. Rooms are available in hotel. Restaurant has decent food, we ate a buffet for lunch for $280 pesos for 2 people. Lovely little spot on the cliff for camping overlooking the ocean.

Report Check-In

Road in is a bit rough, regrading in progress. MX$150 for site, +$50 for access to hotel room for toilet/shower. Good water pressure in bathroom but no water at sites right now. Power at sites and didn't look into dump.

Report Check-In

We arrived after two days of rain. The rough road in was quite wet, muddy and there were a few big waterholes right in the beginning. It got better after 1km and we made it with our 20 ft campervan. 10 gravel lots in total with 5 directly on the cliff, quite levelled and equipped with non-potable water, electricity, fire pits and wood and bbqs. We stayed one night without using the bathroom (just the restaurant toilet) and were the only ones on the campground. However the Restaurant was visited by locals. We had a delicious margarita and the pirate burrito which was fine, though nothing special. All in all a quiet place to stay for a night and to enjoy a nice drink at the veranda with a few over the cliffs. Nothing else to do here though.

Report Check-In

clean hot showers, and a view of the ocean. great margarita but the food wasnt anything special

Report Check-In

Name fits the partially developed hotel. Seaman’s bar, reasonably priced swanky food, mud/gravel park/campsite sits on edge of the cliff with an incredible view including electricity and bbq if you fancy. 150peso for just the site or 200p for sure and a key to enter a empty hotel room to use clean bathroom with warm shower.
Hotel Internet was crap
Restaurant Internet worked better and was able to update Apps, Spotify and Netflix

Report Check-In

We paid 150 pesos for 1 night. It’s right on the cliff and you get water and electric but we didn’t use it. Our 34 ft Skoolie made it down the long dirt road just fine. It’s a little bumpy but you just go slow. They have good margaritas at the restaurant attached to the hotel!

Report Check-In

Road in is extremely rough with large loose stones, but firm enough for large rigs even after the rain. Rate was MXN$150 per night with water and power or MXN$200 for shower and toilet which is just a key to a vacant hotel room.
WiFi available in the restaurant.

Report Check-In

beautiful spot to park for a few days. food and bar very friendly staff. 200 pesos and you get to use the shower and toilet of one of the rooms. they have WiFi an tv to watch sports. we arrive the day after a big rain and the road there was fine 👍

Report Check-In

We were here for only one night. Paid 150 pesos for full hookups for our RV. We didn’t use the water, though. Beautiful breathtaking views of the bay. Took a hike near the pebbly beach and enjoyed watching the views. Later ate a decent meal at the hotel/restaurant. Had a steak (carne asada) burrito and my kid and husband had the fish tacos. Plus we drank sangria and my kid had an Oreo shake. Later we pulled our chairs in front of the RV and enjoyed the ocean views. Manuel, our waiter from earlier, came by to bring my purse. I had stupidly left it at the restaurant from our earlier lunch! Really sweet and honest people there. Felt very safe here.

Report Check-In

Beautiful view grom the cliff.
If you have mountain bikes you can ride many miles to the north, easy going. It’s almost completely empty along the coast.
Restaurant is fine. Shower and toilet are really good to have. Rooms are not great. I prefer my rolling home.

Report Check-In

Simple camping above the ocean. Half finished hotel but the part that’s done is quite nice. Great restaurant.

Report Check-In

Great spot off the highway, the road was fairly rough but we saw several sedans succeed in crossing. 200 pesos for a spot with electricity and water. Room key for shower and bathroom. Great sunset from the beach. Food not bad either.

Report Check-In

We stayed there 2nights and paid 200Pesos/night incl. the key for a private shower and a flush toilet in one of the hotel rooms;
the road is still a little bit rough but durable when it’s dry with a 2WD- in our case the road was extremely muddy and slippery at the next day just after some hours of light rain during the night... if that happens to you I would recommend 4x4;
we had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and the stuff was pretty friendly! We like that place...also if it looks a little bit weird.

Report Check-In

Nice place, friendly staff. Entrance road rough but suitable for al sorts of RV.
Great view over the bay.
But no restrooms or shower, except when taken site with a room, 200 pesos.
Dump, water.and electricity available

buen lugar para pasar la noche. 200 pesos mexicanos con baño

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights here. The first night we asked for a bathroom (hot and good shower!!) and were charged 200 pesos. The second night we asked without a bathroom (used the washrooms of the restaurant) and were charged... 200 pesos?! didn't understand everything
(Ioverlander secret: you can have wifi in your van, the hotel wifi works better than the restaurant wifi. Password: [Password removed by Moderator.]

WiFi password: [Password removed by Moderator.]. people are very nice and helpful.
not a real campground it's more for a parkinglot with water and electricity.

Report Check-In

First of all, the best is really the unbeatable amazing view of the cliff. I built my tent up straight at this cliff. What I don't understand and like is the pricing. 150 pesos without bathroom and 200 p with bathroom. The charge the same for big rigs as well for tents. But there is only one toilet in the restaurant. If you book without a bathroom you won't have any toilet when the restaurant is closed. And in my opinion, if you book without bathroom you can also go a little bit further and little bit below the cliff and have the same view as well and pay nothing. Just due to a mistake, they charged me 150 and gave me the key to the room for bathroom as well.

Report Check-In

Great spot, road Little bit muddy because the rain. Nice food and electra and water

Report Check-In

I love this place so much. friendly staff, good meal, good wifi, ocean access, dogs, only 10 spots be we were 3 for my 4 days visit, quiet at night. 150 pesos power and water. apparently they have a dump station as well. feel safe and happy !

Report Check-In

Really good and friendly place.
The road to get there is a dirt and bumpy road but you take your time and everything is fine, make sure your house is well organised and everything is tighten up.
We were there during the Baja 1000, which is a big dirt road race here. It was cool to see that but it was also really dusty and loud at some point, it lasted like 36hours (overnight yes!).
But it was great to see the action! We met other nice travelers.
We bargained our camping price cause we stayed like 3 days, 120 instead of 150 pesos a night with full hookups but the voltage is not super high. The drinks and food are not too expensive too. The people from the hotel and super sympathico and one guy speaks english, you get to learn spanish ! :)
A good place to stay couple of days with the amazing view.

Report Check-In

Unfortunately all the rooms are booked for the next two days, so no showers available. They have the Baja 1000 race here tomorrow, why all bathroom and rooms are booked.
Great views here.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot if you can look beyond the construction area at the hotel. Great views, quiet at night. We got a key for a room to have a private bathroom. Electricity, water, wifi and even a dump station, for 200 pesos the night is a good deal.

Report Check-In

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel. Rooms are a bargain at $23-$25/night and pet-friendly. My dog loves running around the property high on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. Good wi-fi & cable TV in rooms & restaurant. Reasonably priced restaurant with nice people.

Report Check-In

Lots of sites with ocean views. Hook ups avail for some spots. Mx150 pn for site + mx50 pn for private shower and toilet. The main building on the property seems to be a half-built hotel from some years back, hence it's not the most picturesque spot. Surf beneath campsite is small but looks perfect for longboarding. Surprised this place isn't more popular for surf. Restaurant on property is fairly well priced for good food.

Report Check-In

Great spot to spend a couple of days. 100 pesos for RV parking with water and power. Extra 50 pesos and they give you a hotel room key to use the warm and clean shower. WiFi in the restaurant.

Report Check-In

We spend 5 night here!! Amazing place with good waves, not really big but really good for having some fun. Nice people. It was $100 MXN camping with electric and water hookup pand wifi or $150 MXN plus hot shower and bathroom. We just use the camping with our truck camper and you really dont need anything else. Good wifi reach the camping place and its really quiet and beautiful

Report Check-In

Sikk spot! 5$ for camping or 7.50$ with access to room for shower and bathroom. Great deal. Nice people. Hotwater, electricity, and wifi what more can you want!? Fun waves today and I was the only one out on the water! Someone come join me lol this spot is sick!

Report Check-In

A wonderful place to stay for a couple nights! The hospitality is impeccable! the host, Emanuel, not only helped us get a room for a bathroom and shower, but also helped us get our muffler fixed, and showed us the local pizza joint. The view is fantastic and the cool temperature made the days and nights so much better. When you get near the location marker, turn on the dirt road next to the OXXO and follow it until you see the hotel! The road is very bumpy but it is 2WD accessible. Highly recommend!

Report Check-In

150mx for the night with a room key to use the bathroom and showers. Very windy during the day but settled down at night. Pretty good and fairly inexpensive food at the restaurant

Report Check-In

Awesome place. Tent camped in the parking lot and got a room key to shower and use the bathroom, cost was dirt cheap. Ate dinner at the restaurant there, amazing food. We had fish tacos, a huge burrito, and 3 margaritas and it was 465 pesos. everyone there was nice, view was nice, it was super windy. We were hoping for some waves but we were unlucky.

Report Check-In

Still a good place to stay for a night. 150 Pesos with bathroom / 50 Pesos just campsite. Friendly personal! Nice building. Camping is just a gravel lot but direct on the cliffs and sea!

Report Check-In

Super friendly staff Denise showed us best place to avoid the wind and gave us the key of one room for us to use the bathroom.150 MXN to sleep in our camper, with hot showers an clean bathroom. Electricity and Wi fi available.

Report Check-In

Little campground on the cliffs with oceanview. Water, electricty and the keys to a room with bathroom for 150 pesos/night. Nothing special but a good place to spend a night on your way up or down! No gates but it felt safe.

Report Check-In

Excelente lugar para acampar, contemplar el mar y sus atardeceres

Report Check-In

Super nice people and the margaritas were delicious

Report Check-In

Nice friendly people, great view, water and electricity at sites. Paid M$150 for one night and a key to a hotel room for toilets and hot showers. We enjoyed the fish tacos, margaritas and beer in the restaurant.

Report Check-In

Great low cost camping with full hook-ups $4 USD overlooking a fantastic view of the bay and Pacific Ocean. Worth the somewhat difficult road driving in. 2-3 miles from highway 1.

Report Check-In

Guess they changed the prices. 80 mxn for just camping (no toilets or whatsoever) 150 mxn for camping + room key for the showers/toilets. Camping itself is nothing but a dirtlot (and windy indeed). Ok for 1 night.

Report Check-In

Ok camping spots on the cliffs at sunrise and sunsets, but it is just a windy dirt lot . The 80mxn price, wifi access and use of a hotel room for a hot shower were a plus.

Report Check-In

long gravel road in. they have water, electricity and a dump sewer. sites. overlooking cliff, but very windy and dusty. workman all day moving building materials, and cars coming in during the night, a bit annoying. they do give you a key to shower, which was very hot. WiFi was fast, but weak signal. beach has a bit of trash, and too tough to swim. a good place to stop over and fill/ dump. 80 mx for water and electric hookups.

Report Check-In

great spot! price is 80 pesos but paid 50, they even give you room keys to use an awesome bathroom! restaurant has good prices and they even let me print and do laundry! 10/10!

Report Check-In

Camping on cliffs overlooking pier and beautiful beach. 80pesos p/night from hotel & restaurant. We did tent camping and found many other foreigners staying too for camping and hotel. Also a locals spot which probably keeps the prices descent. Lunch was great. Breakfasts start at 50pesos per plate. Drive in was fine in our Honda Accord , no more than 30 minutes from main road. Sites have water and outlets.

Report Check-In

Great spot on the cliff . We paid 80 pesos a night to park at one of the RV spot. And they gave us the key to one of the room to use bathroom and shower the whole time we were there. Wifi is ok. We asked to do laundry and paid 25 pesos to wash and 25 pesos to dry. The hotel is very unfinished but that's why it's so awesome looking.

Report Check-In

Nice camp spot on a cliff. With water and electricity we paid 80pesos. You can walk down to the ocean, where is a little stony beach.
The main building is still under construction but they have a few rooms available too. The restaurant is finish and dedicated nicely. The food was delicious and cheap.
Stuff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again

Report Check-In

Stayed here tonight with my dog at the hotel rather than camping since it was only 450 mxn. It was somewhat difficult to even find the dirt road that goes up to the hotel on a cliff but worth it. Room has wi-fi with hot water. Beautiful view of Pacific Ocean. Restaurant is O.K. considering you are not close to town.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot for one night. Unfinished hotel - beautifully strange. Stunning cliff/ocean view, good wifi and leveled spot. Must take a rough dirt road for 3.5 km to get there. Manager will give you key to use a shower - saltless and hot! Food is not that great from the restaurant. $80 pesos a night.

Report Check-In

Great view.. long walk to bathroom. Remind staff to turn on hot water before you take a shower. I liked this place.. quiet and there is watchman

Report Check-In

This campground does the job for one night. The staff give you the key for the shower in one of the hotel room. View is nice but all the site seems in construction. A little noisy in the early morning with the arrival of fisherman. Payed 80 $. Correct restaurant (340 pesos -> 2 dishes ,4beers ,1dessert).Dirt road (3,5km)to go there is manageable with 2WD car but you have to drive slowly when it's still light

Report Check-In

Stayed here due to the roadblocks on the highway due to gas price increase (2.5days), water, electricity, patchy internet (go to the restaurant for better wifi). 80P/night, gave you a key to a room for hot showers. 5 minute drive from Camalu (turn at the traffic light). 25P XX beer.

Report Check-In

showers are plentiful w hot water, pretty view except for construction, security guard at night, good internet

Report Check-In

The road going to this place is manageable with 2WD but there are some sandy sections. When driving into Calamu coming from the north you should go right and follow the dirt road just before oxo. From there it is about 15 more minutes. The restaurant is close to the cliff and has electricity and water hookups. Seems like they wanted to built a hotel too but never continued doing it since there are some construction parts lying around. We paid 5$ for one night/car.
