Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Confirming that they no longer allow camping. Bummer it looks nice! Will maybe go to the restaurant.

Report Check-In

Reception says they definitely stopped hosting campers.

Report Check-In

At the moment, only self-containing RVs are allowed on site. The showers are all out of order. The women's toilets are closed, perhaps being repaired (?) The men's toilets are now divided into women and men. The price without power for 2 people are still 400 P.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for two nights. Yes, it's expensive for 500P/night, but you can't beat being in walking distance to the ruins. Also we appreciated to have power as it was hot and we were using the AC - being plugged in we could par a bit in the shade and not in the full sun for best solar charging. But they offered us the 400 P without power. Also pool usage was included - although the pool was not really maintained during the two days we stayed and the water was super warm - we chose their cold outdoors to cool off instead. The lady at the reception when we checked in was very nice as was the gardener guiding us into our site.

Report Check-In

Did not stay here but inquired about camping. The lady at the front desk wanted to charge $650MXN per night. I asked her about the $400 without electricity and she said there is no option without electricity, it’s all included and a fixed rate. $500MXN for 2 adults and an extra $150MXN for my 10 year old. I asked if we would have access to the pool and she said each person that wants to access the pool must spend at least $200/MXN at the restaurant to use it. The place is nice but overall I didn’t have a good impression of the staff, not very friendly or welcoming, seemed money hungry. Maybe others will get a better experience and price.

I inquired about camping and hotel at “camping Michol” too (see other pin). The rate for camping there is $100MXN, and for hotel was $500MXN for large room with kitchen and a/c + an additional $50MXN for dogs. Friendly staff. I would have stayed there but we decided to skip Palenque all together as it was very hot and wanted to find somewhere with water to swim in.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 3 nights. The hotel is really pretty! 5-10 minute walk to ticket office for ruins. You can catch a collectivo from there to the ruins entrance for $15pp. The restaurant is nice with tasty pizza ($160) and amazing agua fresca ($50). $500/night for electric was expensive but true 15amp power that will run our AC was well worth it in the steamy jungle. Noticed some biting ants in the grass camping area but only in certain spots. The bathrooms were clean. The women’s shower heads need to be replaced but my husband said the men’s looked fairly new. Some howler monkeys in the trees 😎Would stay here again.

Report Check-In

As mentioned before: 400$ per night without electricity (w/electricity 500$ per night). Everything is fine except for the ants everywhere.
They crawl on your feet and legs and hurt like hell. You can basically not sit in front of your camper without putting your feet up. That's a big minus point for this pitch and unfortunately therefore, we can't recommend this place at all.

Report Check-In

So far the most expensive campground in Mexico.
Some other campers left because of many ants on the ground. We didnt have that problem.
Wifi was average with dropouts every 20min.
Pizza is not bad there if you are not used to proper italian pizza.
After all, we would suggest to spend the night elsewhere.

Report Check-In

We stay here for two nights for 400$ for two persons and 22 feet rig.
The staff was very friendly and the pizza was really great at the restaurant. From here you walk to the Palenque ruins.

Report Check-In

Nice campground area surrounded by tall plants. Monkeys in the trees above. Not really levelled, but ok. Nice restaurant, good pizza. Very large and pretty pool in the shade to cool down. Walking distance from the ruins. . Don’t know why some have commented that it is not a campground anymore as staff was very nice and welcoming. However, this place is only for RVs and vans, they do not accept tents. It is a bit expensive, but we had a very nice stay

Report Check-In

Accepts campers and rigs. Nice, clean spots on grass. Full hookups. Good restaurant, pleasant environment. Worth the price (500 pesos/night) + very close to ruins.

Report Check-In

500 pesos. For à large swinming pool, electricity and dump after 4-5 days without it is good for the hot température 33 c or 94f. A very nice place spécialy the restaurant ( very expensive). But this is a hotel and the customer pay 2,000 pesos… the lady was ok , she is an employe not the owner so it s not the time to bargain… 35$ CDN compare to 26$ i Paid near Real the Catorce it s not so bad… with the rain you have the mod in Chiapas…

Report Check-In

not a campground anymore. this is a fancy hotel with restaurant. they dont want camper anymore.

Report Check-In

Just a very muddy field for 500 pesos pn
We left.

Report Check-In

We wanted to spend the night here first. For what is offered and only for one night, this price is definitely too expensive. The lady at the reception was unfriendly. We then went to Camping Michol. It is close by and we paid 50 mxn/pp.

Report Check-In

maybe the nicest camp in Palenque and the nearest to the ruins.
the grassy area is most of the times a bit wet, but no mosquitos there at our stay.
hot showers, wifi is ok. 400/car dry. 500 full hookup. they offer holzoven pizza. the hotel area and restaurant is very beautiful. very big pool! you can hear the sound of the jungel. in the night it cooled down to 20 Celsius, perfect to sleep.

Report Check-In

Cool camping in the hotel: pool, toilets, hot shower…400m from ruins entrance. Little bit expensive: 400$M/vehicule with showers, water and toilets. 100$M more for hook up.

Report Check-In

No good. Wanted 400 peso for one person for one night, no electricity.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

As described by others, the pool is nice and the restaurant is quite good. Defintley has a real nice ambiance and live music!

Got charged 200pp for a big rig without electricity.

Report Check-In

Other accounts accurate as reported.

Heat and humidity almost unbearable at night when we stayed here. Okay during the day. There’s a troop of howler monkeys that live here and make a ruckus at night. Have ear plugs at the ready. The live music at night is a pleasant acoustic gig, not blaring regatón or narcocorridos like i expected, but The monkeys made up for that haha.

Very nice pool and restaurant. Filthy showers with no hot water. Very close 25 min walk to the ruins. Overall it’s all about the location, but pet friendly. $500 pesos for our T3 van still seems over the top expensive for this place.

Report Check-In

Careful with soft ground! This place needs several truckloads of gravel. The place looks nice, lots of greenery, but the camping lot is a small meadow that is only partially packed. The side with hookups is packed, the other side not much. When it has rained and days/weeks after the ground is really soft. We tried to access but started to sink in, so we backed out. Another RV parked there told us they got stuck on the way in, but were able to get unstuck. A couple days earlier a van got stuck and had trouble getting back out. They were then allowed to park in the hotel parking lot. We tried to go for that, but the parking attendant was very unfriendly and unhelpful, same with the receptionist. La Chiapaneca was the alternative for us. When we left, we met a group of people arriving in a pickup. They said that their trailer has been in the lot for a week now, because they are not able to get it out due to the soft ground. Does not seem like they care at all about it. Price is 200 pp.

Report Check-In

$250 per person, per night. The RV area is smaller than in Church book. There are 6 FHU spaces and maybe 6 more opposite those. When wet, there is deep mud and I had to pull another rig out of it. Another TT was stuck. Check first! Front to back leveling required. Good size parking area for restaurant, palapa campers, maybe for RVs. WiFi is very good in the restaurant and usable elsewhere, but subject to drops. Food is quite good. Walk 2km up to ruins entrance. Location location location!

Report Check-In

Will be nice to be off the highway tonight. this has a nice pool, showers, good restaurant with music, and pizza and traditional fare.

Report Check-In

Just the night, very close to the ruins so a secure place to park up while walking in to visit. The shower block is badly cracked, looks like after 1500y the Mayan descendants have lost the knowledge of how to build :p. 500Ps for 2 persons in a car camper, no hookup.

Report Check-In

This is a nice campground to chill for a couple days while visiting the Palenque ruins. It very close to the entrance where you buy the tickets and can then take a colectivo to the main entrance to the ruins. The showers are hot. We paid 500p per night for 2 people. This includes full hookups.

Report Check-In

Nice location but… realy expensive for what you get! We paid 950 pesos for a family of 5. We were really ferling hot and accept the price because of the pool. On the next morning, a truck was rught behind us at 7h30 am for construction.

Report Check-In

Good place to see Palenque because you can walk there. The place itself where muddy because of some rain before. Internet was not working. Restaurant, Pool and bathrooms ok. Nice garden around you wirh monkeys and aras in the trees. Pet's allowed but not in the restaurant and at the pool. 500 peso in a 4x4 truck, 2 people, one dog with full hook-up.

Report Check-In

Nice place but too expensive. 400 Pesos for parking on a dirt field of meadow. Showers with just cold water. Wifi signal is just in the restaurant. The water in the pool was clear but lots of leaves, bugs, bees were on the surface. Unfriendly employees over all. Food in the restaurant was ok.

Report Check-In

We came here in July and it was 250 without power, 350 with power for 2 people in a van. Now in October we planned to spend the night here again but they are wanting to charge 400 pesos without power, 500 with power - so we moved on :/ it's a shame as it's a decent place but ultimately there is a price you have to put a limit on. This is too much to charge people who are self contained. I hope they eventually understand that when their business turns in less than before.

Report Check-In

if you wanna pay 700 to camp...
not worth it

Report Check-In

This place just got more expensive. We are in a truck camper and we had to pay 500 pesos per night for a family of three and full hookup. The most we’ve ever had to pay in our six months in Mexico. Very beautiful site, with tropical gardens, monkeys & pool. But we felt this was better suited as a resort for holiday makers than for overlanders. Wifi reaches the ‚RV Park‘ but is only really effective late in the evening.

Report Check-In

Don't go there anymore! They want to close the trailer park, so they charged 500 peso for a night with full huck up! The most expensive in whole Mexiko 😲. No more hot water in the showers, no water pressure, not very clean. Pool is nice, Restaurant okay. Live music but it's not too close to the trailer spaces. We are leaving now, looking for a new place to stay 😔.

Report Check-In

Great place!! They’ve got 10 or so palapas for tent/hammock camping for only $120p which is what I did for a few nights. Walked to Palenque, took a colectivo back for $10p. Decent WiFi, nice restaurant and pool, live music most nights, very friendly and accommodating staff. Dog friendly but not around the pool or restaurant. Wonderfully landscaped, beautiful flowers abound. Worth the few extra pesos in comparison to the other options.

Report Check-In

Really great place here! 250 pesos per night and includes water and sewage. If you want electricity it’s 350 pesos. The best parking spots get practically no sun for solar, but you could maybe move you van into a sunny spot during the day. Hot water showers. Great restaurant/cafe. Awesome pool!

Report Check-In

I stayed here based on previous IOverlander recommendations. Paid 250 for for full hook ups, I was the only one staying here it looks like they are currently doing some construction in about three of the spots are blocked off. The pool looks nice but was closed. Great showers and lots of hot water great restaurant great food reasonably priced

Report Check-In

As reported previously. Still nice and clean and fully operational after the pandemic hype.
They sell tickets for the ruins at the museum which is a 5 min walk, then you need to go to main entrance which is ~1km steep uphill. We took the coletivo for 10 pesos, walked back from ruins.

Report Check-In

Nice campground for 10-12 campers in a well maintained tropical garden with lots of wildlife like agouti, toucan, dragonflys, howler monkeys around. Wifi, water, dumpstation, electricity, restaurant, swimmig pool, clean hot showers and toilets are available. 250 Peso dry camping, 350 Peso full Hookup. 1400/2100 Peso weekly rate. You can walk to the ruins of Palenque and bycycle into the city of Palenque.

Report Check-In

nice big pool, generally clean. expensive for families, 250/rig with 2 adults + 60/child under 13, without electricity. 10 pesos/person colectivo to the main entrance of the ruins, then easy to walk back from lower entrance of the site (they don't sell tickets at this entrance). nothing around (no tienda/comedor). Telcel cell signal.

Report Check-In

Probably the nicest place I’ve ever camped.

Report Check-In

very Nice place! it's a hotel with a parking area for RV they have about 6 spaces for electricity for 350 p and space for no plug in at 250p for the vehicular.
nice restaurant good price.
close to the ruined 80pp
pool is nice and clean
clean showers

Report Check-In

DUMP STATION !!! Whit water tap and plug power

Report Check-In

We were asked 445pesos with electricity and 345pesos without. We are 2 adults and one kid. Wifi currently was out of order. The spot we were offered was very muddy. Didn't stay there, went to camping next door Machol, for just 100pesos a night

Report Check-In

Perfect place to visit the ruins. Quiet safe very good restaurant clean toilets and hot showers. Highly recommended

Report Check-In

As described; we stayed 2 " dry camping "nights for 500Pesos; the monkeys passed by during the night but the noise wasn't so much- they don't bothered us; while our stay we hadn't any trouble with ants because we had lots of rain; the ruins are amazing!!

Report Check-In

250 $/night for a couple.
Only shaddow places, all with full hook up.
Pool is refreshing (26°C), but the night was awefull. Crying monkeys several times ...
To the ruins/entrance (open at 8 a.m.) is just 6 minutes walking on the street. Buy tickets in the museum, cross the street and there is an entry only for pedestrians. Very, very close!!!!!!
The wifi at the camp didn't work during our stay :(

Report Check-In

Chilllll spot but avoid parking under the trees! Sooo many ants the second you step out of your rig they start crawling and biting on your feet

Report Check-In

We spent 2 nights at Mayabell campground - 250 pesos/night without electricity. Full hookup available for 300 pesos.
Spot mostly leveled, very clean and quiet. Some shades from the trees around. Close to the swimming pool, which is perfect for a dip in the afternoon.

Restrooms and showers very clean, with hot water

Nice restaurant on the ground, we tried the “licuado con miel y yougurt de piña” (smoothie) and it was good

The mayan ruins are a bit more than 1,5km from the camping. The trip to the ruins is up-hill, and there is no real path so you have to walk on the road- no very difficult but beware with kids. All in all, very practical for the visit

Will definitely stay there again

Report Check-In

$350p to camp, with power. Showers and bathrooms available, clean. Very beautiful campground, dog friendly. Swimming pool is nice and clean. And the howler monkeys 🙂

Report Check-In

very nice camp ground close to the entrance of the ruins site.
paid 300 pesos for two people. Nice swimming pool and howling monkeys. Live music everynight till 11 pm .
all facilities. Wifi in the restaurant.

Report Check-In

Stopped by to dump our black tank. Was charged 30p which is the cheapest we’ve ever had in Mexico! Also took a shower - 20p per person. The bathrooms were not very clean (lots of ants). There is hot water it just takes about 5-10 mins to start. Too expensive for us to stay the night but it looked like a nice place

Report Check-In

250 mxn. dog friendly. pool available. restaurant on site. clean bathrooms with showers inside and near pool area. stayed 3 nights no problems. flat parking with our RTT. Within walking distance to ruins. Friendly travelers staying at this location.

Report Check-In

Definitely the best option of the sites around, but not the cheapest. Tidy bathrooms, excellent pool, and walking distance to the ruins made it worth the price for us. It’s a hot area and it was great to cool down by the pool. WiFi reaches the RV parking. Recommended.

Report Check-In

This place is a bit different than the photos- they seem to have done a lot of work and landscaping and it’s really very nice- great pool, hot showers, hand wash laundry area, short collectivo to the ruins and a short walk to the amazing museum! The restaurant was very nice with live music each night- totally worth the 250p and dog friendly!

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, but 250 for a parking spot and use of bathrooms is to much for us. Plus, there was an RV trailer there who could start their generator and A/C at any time ...

We only need a spot to park...passed on this overpriced place...

Report Check-In

Great spot, as described. Great setting, close to everything and collectivo’s every 10-15 min at the entrance if you don’t want to walk. Plenty of room to run around and explore for our dog. Stayed 3 nights.

Report Check-In

charged us 250 pesos for the van nice to have hot shower. pool looks nice. they have really nice live music at night over at the restaurant. stayed 2 nights.

Report Check-In

Restaurant palapa is very nice and the rooms might be nice, but the camp area is funky. Not level, muddy and rutted. The pool area has tons of ants, and the pool does not look very clean. The restaurant food is good and reasonable prices. Good location close to.ruins.

Report Check-In

Very nice place. Howling monkeys all around at night. Close to the ruins, nice pool, bar and restaurant. Laundry service. However, there are 10 extreme Topes on the only way here and they broke our Graywater tank. RVs with low undercarriage clearance BEWARE!

Report Check-In

250 pesos for 2 people
350 for electricity
WiFi not working
Hot showers and clean bathroom

BEWARE: Crazy fire ants in the RV parking area. I got a couple bites on my feet in sandals and had to got to the hospital.

The administrator gave us a hard time for moving away from the ants into the regular parking area, but acquiesced when we saw my entire body covered in hives and the trip to doc office for steroid injections.

Otherwise, nice structure!

Report Check-In

Beautiful camp near the ruins. Access more difficult for our RV of 40 'but managed to park ... in the mud because it rained a lot when we arrived. The manager asked us every day to park us better ... it was funy to explain him that 33,000 pounds is heavy, he was very stubborn! We moved one tine, you should have seen the holes! Anyway the pool is nice and clean and beautiful gardens. Surrounded by lush jungle and howler monkeys. Negative point: owner not welcoming at all (all about $$$), no smile, loud music late every night - me who wanted to listen to nature, I was damned the pawn by the "hippies" of the place!

Report Check-In

Nice campground with pool, 350 MXN with electricity, 250 MXN without. Electricity, water and dumping on site. Ask at the reception for the wifi code, good in the restaurant, no wifi at site.

Report Check-In

Stayed 5 nights. Everything as described. TIP: The road to the national park charges 37 pesos per person. But only until about 5 pm. Keep an eye on the ants :-((

Report Check-In

Great place. Good facilities, hot showers, nice pool, reasonable restaurant on site. 250 per night (without electricity) reasonable value for the location and the facilities. Easy 2km walk to the ruins entrance, or you can get a collectivo.

Report Check-In

Nice place 500 meters from the entrance of arch site. They have only regular 110v outlet, no 30A

Report Check-In

A very well set campsite. Compared to all other sites we stayed this is like a five star chained hotel. We did not have hot water to shower but it’s hot anyway. Everything else is as good as said. Close to the ruins. Great to see hornbills and hear howler monkeys

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We had only good experiences here. Perfect for a visit of the ruins: take the colectivo (20 MXN PP) to the upper main gate and walk the tour to the lower gate near the museum. Wonderful! Walking distance to the nice museum ca. 200 m and than to the camping maybe 400 m.

Report Check-In

Very nice place but horrible employees...
One of our worst night in Mexico.
At 6h30 in the morning a bus parked just near rdv sites started his engine for 30 minutes in sort to get fresh air from AC for his customers... at 7h30 a man knocked our door for asked us to pay now !? The lady we saw the day before for checkin said us We could pay before leaving... and at 8h workers began to play hammer and others noisy instruments...Such a good vacation!!!

Report Check-In

Campground / Resort with restaurant close to the Palenque ruins.
As described: big area with full hookup (350 Pesos) or without (250 Pesos), non-negotiable even for multiple days staying.
Hot showers and flush toilets (both clean). The real reason to be here though is the huge pool you can soak in during the heat of the day!
We took a collectivos to the entrance of the ruins from the street (10 Pesos pp) so we didn’t had to pack up the car

Report Check-In

Great place with swimming pool after tough journey on 199 from San Cristobal.

Report Check-In

Our favorite campsite thus far. We paid 330 pesos/night for our family of four.
It is very hot and humid so the clean, large pool was perfect.
The ruins are about a 1.5 km walk.
My husband and I both got a massage for 400 pesos each.
Our family enjoyed eating at the restaurant on-site.
There are not a lot of tiendas or markets close by so bring food if you don’t want to eat at restaurant.
We saw a toucan at the campsite and heard howler monkeys. At the ruins we saw howler monkeys and macaws.
WiFi only works at restaurant so you’ll see lots of people sitting at their nice tables using WiFi.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

250 pesos for 2 persons in a RV without electricity, 350 with, and 80 pesos per extra person. So we paid 510 pesos for a family of 4 (children paid as adults ).
So It's expensive but nice swimming pool , easy walk to the ruins , good wifi at the restaurant which is good.
No more grass because of a rainy season.

Report Check-In

Great campground, mainly for wonderful location near ruins, but might be a bit tight for big rigs depending on how many other campers are staying. Drive into parking lot (where you can turn around) and recce situation by foot No problem for tenters. 350 pesos per night.

Report Check-In

Grass and some shadow, little muddy, restaurant with live music, but not noisy in the parking. Hot showers and bathrooms not so far. Full hookups wifi next to the resto. 430 pesos (350 couple +80 third ps)

Report Check-In

we paid 330 pesos for 2 adults and 3 children in our rv

we went the next nifht at the michol was really better and really cheaper
but mayabell is a beautifull place with a swimming pool so .... one night no more

Report Check-In

tried to charge us $420 for our van and family of 4. seems like a nice place and it was certainly busy but we found the price to be a bit silly.

the place 600 meters down the road was quite nice and 1/2 the price.

Report Check-In

Nice Campground direct in the jungle. 250p/night without electricity/350p with electricity. hot showers but not the private one, the 3 beside was hot. at night and very early in the morning you can hear the hauler monkey. nice host, friendly people and nice restaurant with live music. good place to go the pyramid. 10p with colectivo.

Report Check-In

Very overpriced for what you get (compared to everywhere else we've stayed in Mexico). Parking in a very muddy field for 430 pesos a night! (It's 350 pesos for a couple but they charged us extra for our 6 year old daughter). No hot water and no internet (normally yes but not working when we were there).
Walking distance to the ruins, great howler monkey viewing, and a lovely pool. But badly set up for vans in the rain. You're basically parked in a swamp. I think this place would be awesome if they would put down some rocks or sand or concrete in the van camping spots, or if you're there when it's not raining. (Note we had nonstop rain for almost 4 days so maybe not a normal situation!) Watch out for the biting ants.

Report Check-In

Nice restaurant and campground. Clean. No working Wifi. Unfriendly and desinterested staff. Short walk to the entrance of the palenque ruins.

Report Check-In

The place to stay in Palenque, a short walk to the impressive Mayan ruins. Hot showers, wifi, electricity at some but not all of the sites, restaurant and bar. Nice swimming pool. Everything is cash only and there is no nearby ATM.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Tent camping is under huge palapas. $80 mxn/person per night plus $32/person entrance to park (park pass good for 5 days). Nice people here--its the slow season, so only two rigs and 3 or 4 other people camping. We've paid for two nights, but its so peaceful and wonderful, we may stay a few more. :)

Report Check-In

This place is very beautiful, the pool is beautiful. The restaurant is amazing with a lot of vegetarian meat ! We stay 2 nights ! It's a few walk of zona archeological of Palenque
Very very nice place. Enjoy and we'll coming

Report Check-In

Not really worthed the money in my opinion. Bathrooms are only ok. They seem to be "cleaned" every day, but the only spray it and then hose it down and let all the soapy water sink in the ground of this beautiful jungle. Hot Water, no pressure. WiFi doesn't reach campground, but we were on the spot furthest away from reception. It is stunningly beautiful and close(ish) to the archaeological site. Howling monkeys but not only in the evening, also at 2:30 am which we haven't experienced before, of course that is not the camps fault. We are going to find another spot today as there are many much cheaper options. Ok for one night but wouldn't be my first choice.

Report Check-In

Stayed for 2 nights. It was very refreshing to jump in the pool after spending the entire day at the ruins or in the jungle. 350pesos with full hook-up. Electricity good enough to run A/C.
Bathrooms were clean. Walking distance to the ruins.

Report Check-In

From an old hippie, this is more hipster than hippie. But it works for comfy camping with full hook ups, hot showers and a clean pool. The restaurant is pricey and the receptionist is not warm and friendly. But this does the job needed.

Report Check-In

Absolutely beautiful place, really enjoyed our time here. A little on the pricey side, and you have to pay extra to be in the national park. The ruins nearby, the town is also close by but not much of a market there. Would definitely go back here.

Report Check-In

A bit pricey but clean, good hook ups, decent wifi and clean facilities. Oh and there is a lovely restaurant and pool. Very good location for the temples which are walkable or you can hop in a collectivo. Amazing hearing the howler monkeys but beware - it's very hot and humid!!!

350mx/night...a bit on the pricey side. However we looked at all of the other listed campsites (all cheaper 30mx/pp/night or not much more) but we found they weren't exactly "nice". This is by far the best place to stay. Nice music in the early evening and the pool is refreshing. Cold or hot showers. Tenting would be great here and cheaper.

Report Check-In

Great campsite with a wonderful pool, only wifi is slow. We loved it, lots of travelers, nice restaurant with live music in the ebenings

Report Check-In

very nice Place here. We stayed three days

Report Check-In

We intended to only stay one night but it turned into two and a half weeks. Loved the toucans, proximity to the park, you can take the collective to Palenque Centro for 20 pesos. Roberto Barrios cascadas we're the highlight of the many waterfalls in the area. Nice staff, clean bathrooms (they clean them several times per day). Kind hippy types if you're into that. :) we also ate in the restaurant a few times and we're rarely disappointed. Laundry service, wifi was slow but good cell service.

Report Check-In

Ok spots for campers, can get muddy for tents if it rains. convenient location next to ruins. Easy Collectivo ride into town. Overpriced- paid 510 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Clean bathrooms, hot showers. Wifi really bad.

Report Check-In

Great spot only 1.5 km from ruins.

Only 350/night with power. A bit of a squeeze for big rigs.

Terribly slow internet.

Nice Campground in the Garden of the hotel in walking distance to the ruins of Palenque. Pool is nice and clean. Restrooms and hot showers are ok. We payed 250 Pesos per night for a dry campsite.

Report Check-In

Great campground, $250 pesos for two w/o electricity, $350 with. WiFi works ok. Pool. Restaurant with great music. The howler monkey sounds are something to experience, sounds like the jungle is talking in a deep, deep voice.

Report Check-In

We payed 80 pesos per Person with a tent. We camped under a great palapa and the shower was hot. The wifi is bad but it's in walking distance to the Ruins. Best place to stay near the Ruins.

One of my girlfriend and I's favourite campsites we've ever stayed in. Paid MXN$200 for one night, sleeping in our 4runner on their grass lawn. The bathrooms were very clean, the showers super hot, and wifi was okay.

Being walking-distance to the ruins was great, and the jungle surroundings were righteous. During our stay in the campground we heard howler monkeys in the distance, saw fireflies in the evening as well as an agouti in the morning. That said, bugs were a bit of an issue. Aside from the expected mosquitos, there appears to be an ants nest underneath the field we camped on, they like to bite, so watch out.

We would most definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

A very nice place on walking distance to the ruins. There is everything you need as a traveler. WiFi is available, the quality depends on the number of users . We agree with the previous positive comments.

Report Check-In

Perfect location for visiting the ruins since you can walk too them. We enjoyed the pool. Clean toilets & showers. Telcel signal available.

Verry nice place, room for a few RV with full hookups. Nice swimming pool, close to the ruins, good service.

very nice place. also very nice swimmingpool.

Close to archeological site. 20p for collectivo ride or walk 2.5 km to upper main entrance. Walk down through site to museum and then hotel is 400m further down road. Paid 65pp park fee driving in.

didn't stay here but went and had a look. 300 pesos for an RV and 2 people or 80pp for camping and use of the pool and facilities. it's really clean and neat but too expensive for us, we stayed down the road at camping michol

Report Check-In

Hot showers, no internet. Paid 80 pesos per person to camp in our tent plus 30 peso fee.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campground with perfect jungle flair. Paid 300 pesos but was well worth the money. Clean bathrooms (though not a lot of privacy as there are only shower curtains instead of doors but we were almost the only ones so no problem), nice pool area, nice RV parking, very green now in the rainy season. Unfortunately no working wifi though. The restaurant (more or less the only food option around if you don't cook yourself) is nice and has very freshly prepared food, but it is pricey compared to the size of the dishes and Mexican food in other places. Also some Mexican dishes weren't really the same as what you get on the street. The campground is walking distance from the ruins, 2 km along the street. After 700 m you can take a jungle trail to the ruins which is much nicer that the street.

Report Check-In

Nicely kept campground on the park property. ($32pesos pp to enter park) Good showers with hot water, flush toilets w/tp, big pool. We paid $300p night with electric. No working wifi. We drove to ruins and parked but it was a little tight. Also, check out the site museum it's full of artifacts and really nice! (Free with entrance ticket)

Report Check-In

Agree with general consensus of previous comments. Pool was great in the hot weather. Offer onsite laundry for 15 pesos per kilo, also sell garafons for 25 pesos. Restaurant was good but a little pricey for the portions. Loud tour groups until the middle of the night midweek, otherwise would have been very quiet not counting howler monkeys.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place. We especially like the huge swimming pool. We paid 100 Pesos p.p.

Report Check-In

Nice and quite place in the middle of the National Park a short walk from the ruins. We stayed there for one night, the second night we stayed at michol camping just across the street. They wanted 200 pesos for a regular pick up with a pop up camper parked on the driveway without electricity. Lots of big rigs there when we visited. We tried the restaurant which had a good selection but was way to expensive for what you get (or not). After we ate there we both got food poisoning and where flat for two days (!!!) since we shared our plates. After confronting the manager he acted very rude.

Report Check-In

nice site walking distance to ruins, great pool & hot showers.
only noise is that of the howling monkeys.
new wifi installed today, extra charge ???
$200 for camper no electric.

Nice place. Clean bathrooms with hot showers. Electricity/water/dump at sites. Nice pool! Ruins are at walking distance. 200 MP/night.

we stopped here to be close to ruins. pool is very nice and refreshing. Actual HOT showers. 300p for full hook ups. quiet and tranquil. good telcel reception but sadly no Wi-Fi.

Report Check-In

Eh. I was really looking forward to this place but was disappointed. Alright place, but feels very expensive for what you get. No wifi, restaurant is expensive for Mexico standards and portions were small (at least for guacamole and beer) The ladies in the front desk seemed annoyed to deal with guests. They wouldn't budge on charging us 300 pesos for 2 people with electric, our friend we met there paid 500 for a cabana with private bathroom. Decent/good bathrooms, no toilet seats but hot showers and pretty clean. Looked like a nice pool. Might go back but would check other options first, just felt expensive. Ruins were cool, go early before the crowds! Took collectivo for 20 p there and walked back, about 15 min.

Report Check-In

$190 for two people and electricity. Safe, quiet, beautiful campground only 20 minute walk from ruins! No wifi. Cheap restaurante.

Report Check-In

Loved this spot. Great showers, delicious pool, good restaurant. Electricity, water and sewer worked fine. Only negative is no wifi. Paid 300 MX for full hook up. Took collectivo up to the entrance for 10 MX each. Walked back from the path down to the museum. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Report Check-In

Nice grassy campground/hotel. 80 per person plus 30 for parking. Pool, restaurant, hot showers. Close to the ruins of Palenque.

Report Check-In

Note quite the hippie paradise... Good location for the ruins.. Expensive for what you get .. 80 pesos per person 30 for camping unit . We stayed just the one night .

Report Check-In

$190mx no hookups fit a small campervan. Loved the pool, landscaping, butterflies and monkeys. Before we left a caravan of huge RVs came, changing the feel of the place. Restaurant very nice, food good but prices a bit high considering portion sizes. Hot showers. Short walk to Palenque. Campground a bit more expensive than others in area, but you can save on the 30p/person/day national park fee if you stay in the park, or only leave in the evening.

Report Check-In

Campground located close to the ruins, nice swimming pool, restrooms and showers are old and not well maintained. There is a restaurant at the campground, but the food is not worth the price. Our food was cold and definitely not freshly cooked.

Report Check-In

very good campground, paid 100 MX (only pitched my hammock, is same price). includes palapas (small huts where you can camp in). the food at the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced for what you get.

Report Check-In

Nice campground with restaurant and great swimming pool. Within walking distance to museum and entrance to ruins (2km). Howling monkeys great experience. Paid $250 per night. Good meals in restaurant with nice new bar installed. Facilities OK but dated and in need of maintenance. Quite hIghly recommended.

Report Check-In

$80 for a motorbike and tent. pool is nice and restaurant has WiFi sometimes.

Report Check-In

They have raised the prices. We paid 190 MXN/night without electricity. Would have been 250 MXN with. Nice campground, pool looked clean. Simple sanitaries, toilets are only closed by a too small piece of a shower curtain. Pricey but good restaurant. 2 km away from the main entrance to the ruins. No WiFi.

Report Check-In

Nice campground, restaurant with full bar (excellent margaritas) good food, and a short walk to the ruins. No wifi, no toilet seats. We paid 170 pesos per night with electric. No monkeys in/near campground, but we saw several on the trail just past the first entrance to the ruins. Walk on the road towards the ruins, when the road curves hard to the left you will see the sign for the trailhead on the right. Nice easy walking trail.

Report Check-In

Nice campground. As two motorcycles asking for tent camping the price was 70 pesos per person per night. We did set up in the trailer park part. There is another tent area but can't take motorcycle there. Everything is clean. Very convenient. There are 2 entrances to Palenque one is across from museum about 1k and the other maybe 3k. You can walk to further entrance and then leave through lower. Unable to find wifi in restaurant but TelCel phone had 3G most of the time. Stayed 2 nights.

Report Check-In

Nice site, close to ruins, 170p dry, 220p with elec (for 2 people). Very noisy tour groups in bar then through camp site at midnight.

Report Check-In

Prices are M$220 for full hook-up or M$180 without There is a full service restaurant on site and the food is very nice. There are clean flush toilets and hot showers. The Palenque museum is just a few yards down the road. It's a beautiful location. The howler monkeys woke us up during the night but we loved listening to them and falling asleep to their howls.

Report Check-In

pretty quiet and quite hot at night too. 90 pesos / person, 20 for electricity hookup.

Report Check-In

180 pesos. Hot showers. Easy access to the ruins, 10 pesos/person for collective right out front on the road. We would have stayed longer, seemed relaxed and wasn't the least bit crowded, but the torrential downpours chased us away.

Report Check-In

Overpriced campground, avoid major holidays, we were here for Easter and the place was packed.

Report Check-In

A campground right outside Palenque. Full hookups and a pool as well.

PROS: great location right near the ruins and on the edge of the forest, water and electric hookups, pool and mayan thermal spa, howler monkeys, on-site restaurant is good and has awesome cappuccinos – CONS: telcel stick did not work here, showers were hot or cold, depending on if the pilot light was on or not – 180 pesos/night

Report Check-In

W Very nice campground about a 1.5 mile walk from the entrance to Palenque. Grass parking for trucks with electricity, water, bathrooms, one hot shower. Nice restaurant on site with good music every night. Howler monkeys were howling away, but so incredible. Camping $11.47/night (60P/person and 30p/vehicle). If you leave the campground to get groceries during the day, you will be charged a 27P/person reentry fee back into Palenque National Parke.

A hippy paradise, this place was our first experience with the noisy howler monkeys. Nice grassy areas, and plenty of parking spaces. There is wifi in the restaurant and hot showers all day long. Its a short walk to the entrance of the ruins.

Report Check-In

The campground is located in the tropical jungle with great flora. Howler monkeys in the jungle right next door.

Electricity / water / waste water at site. Large pool, many travellers, large bathroom (but only with - not closing - shower curtains in front of the toilets). About 2 km from the ruins.

(Usually 180 pesos / day as we did not need electricity, we got a better price)
