Corner of San Martin and Luis Navarro. We booked tickets for the distillery and parked on their parking lot. On the way out we asked the security guy who is sitting at one entrance of the distillery (where all the crows are) if we could stay overnight and he said it was no problem. They close the gate between 11pm and 5am which makes the place quite safe. No charge and a 2min walk from the town centre. Definitely worth staying there if you plan to visit the town!!
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Camping/ overnight parking is strictly prohibited. We asked two guards and they said NO. They explained us why but our poor spanish where not enough to get the clue. They let you park for free but no sleeping any more. The gate closes at ten. They encouraged us to stay in the street (what we did eventually). Not a problem, just typical street noise.
Report Check-InWe made a tour at the destillery but the watchman didn't want that we stayed for the night. Therefore we had to leave and slept on a Pemex station.
The tours at the destillery Jose Cuervo are great and you can try a lot of Tequilla...
They kicked us out, no camping anymore!!! We were 2 campers and a guy from the staff came over at 10pm and informed us, to go...we speak very well spanish...but after 30min talking with the one guy, 2 other security guys came over as well and try to talk us out from the place too...it wasn't a chance to stay...so we moved across the corner where it was noisy and we didn't sleept well!!!
Report Check-InThanks to the previous post we stayed here. No one ever came to say anything about us camping here. We stayed 2 nights, we found a short cut to town if you turn right after you exit the parking lot follow the road until light post and turn right you will pass by the Jose Cuervo house main entrance and that street will take you to town :) the spot is a little noisy, people start working right at 6am. Around 10pm an midnight there is a train that passes by so don't be alarm.
