Irs a big place and hace wc un front of the camping place ir we pay extra, we Pat 185 for 2 person 1 tent

Report Check-In

A very unpleasant experience. We spent a night in the hotel garden with our 5.40 van. They asked us for 175 quetzales saying that the van, for them, is medium sized. And so far, so good. Included in the cost, apart from the nice manicured garden and the bathrooms (with a cold shower in the women's one), there is nothing. The wifii is average and only at the reception area. But the worst part is that we managed to bargain, with difficulty, 156 quetzales per night Just because we would have stayed and entire week. Then, when they saw our dog (small size), they asked us for 50 questzales more per night. To our adamant refusal, since this is absolutely meaningless and not a real campground but a garden, they told us we could stay but they would take away the discount if we did not pay for the dog. Of course, we left in a hurry. Real dishonest profiteers. The only professional person was the receptionist who has been kind and honest.

the place is nice but we just came to ask the price and see if the place was accessible by van. the gentleman tried to rip us off by telling us two different prices. 300 quesos to me and 350 to my husband. wifi connection is not good. the pool is dirty. we didn't stay given the bad mentality. the other campsite is better

Report Check-In

Place is open but now 30 Dollar for one night.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot but they have increased their prices from below, They charged us 250Q ($32USD!!!) for two people and our small Ford E350 camper and there was absolutely no negotiating with them. This is way too much for what is provided; a plug in the wall by the restaurant, flush toilets a 5 min walk away and a cold shower.

Report Check-In

First he wanted 200 q because of the dog, then it was 250 q after we wanted to look at the place and said we wanted to stay two weeks, it was 350 😲per night. Funny reasoning, nothing made sense.🤔 We drove on and stand 300 meters further on the lake.

Report Check-In

Nice views but quite expensive. 175 qtz without the pool for 2 ppl in a camper truck. Quite a long walk to the bathrooms in the hotel where the water is very cold and bad pressure. Reception guy not very friendly and they wanted to charge our friends to come visit us in the camper for a coffee. We changed to the free parking on the other side of the center.

Report Check-In

We paid 150 Q. for 2 Persons. No pool access including!
Great green area at the waterfront. We parked close to the building, cos the music of the disco was loud until 1 a.m.

Report Check-In

Nice place! The garden is outstanding, toilets and showers perfect and the staff friendly. Had a hugh grassy spot directly at the lake for us alone. They have a private beach and a pool, which costs 50Q extra (per group dayuse). Price was 130Q with our Truck Camper (it's a lot I know but for us it was worth it). The village is accesible by foot. You may get elictricity when you park close to the building (we just charged our stuff there). Place for a hammock is given too. Boat ramp to reach other villages is very close and you also find a nice beach bar close by.

Report Check-In

Pricing is inconsistent. We are truck and poptop, and when we pulled in we were told we were "large" and therefore charged 200 per night. We did get a 10% discount for a week stay. Later we saw van campers which were charged 130 for "small". When I asked for clarification the lady told me my vehicle was a small, and said she would correct the pricing. Later that day she told me we were in fact "medium" at 150, but we're using electricity, which is 50 per night, thus the 200. Whatever. Seems a bit unprofessional with no clear picture of what each rig is and at what price (perhaps a photo example of each?)

Also, pool is an extra 5q per person per day, so be prepared for that.

There is a beach bar between the park and the pier which plays music at high volume till 2am.

Still, the best view and place in Pana for any size rig that cares to brave the descent from Solola.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

the place is nice but after a huge discount they gave, we should have paid 420!!! (3 adults and 4 kids, 1 rig), so we came to camping bahia, which is nice!

Report Check-In

As described previously, dry grassy parking area with beautiful view of the lakefront and volcanoes. Immediately next to the water taxis and access to town is 24/7 via a little path along the waterfront. Restaurants play music in the evening but it's mostly quiet..... until the weekend.
Tour boats blast music loudly while cruising the little cove during the day. Thursday/Friday/Saturday night is techno music from a little bar right next to the camping area.
I wanted to like this place because of the view but I am leaving early due to the incessant noise from 10 AM to past 1 AM.

New prices:

Camper grande GTQ 200
Camper mediano GTQ 150
Camper pequeño GTQ 130

Report Check-In

Large grassy area in front of the most gorgeous view of the lake, volcanoes and beautiful sunsets. Bathrooms clean and shower is a shade shy of warm. Spent 3 nights. Shortcut through grass takes you to main boat dock in 5 minutes. Did not use pool but it looks nice. Did not meet any rude staff, just friendly campers. Took boat to San Pedro and had a cooking class with Anita from Mayan Kitchen. An Amazing day.

Report Check-In

Agree with previous comments: the only nice spot in town with facilities, but way too expensive. If you are in Pana, probably still the best option. We stayed one night and then left the car behind and took a boat to other villages which are way more beautiful. Our suggestion: Just don’t stay in pana if not necessary.

Report Check-In

The place is nice, but pricey. You camp right next to the lake. The area was well maintained and you can have many nice fruits in the garden. Pool was empty. Wifi is o.k. paid 130Q for a Truck with RTT. Expensive!!

Report Check-In

Nice place, but 200Q for 2 people in our 7m MAN Camper is too much, since we left a Spanish couple on the same day in Antigua who payed 150Q for their 7m camper... same size, but not on a truck chassis. And a big Daily 4x4, 3.70 high paid 150Q too. And we needed nothing, no water, no electricity, no dumping, etc. But there was no way to reduce the price. It looks that the pricing is not very transparent. We stayed one night because it was getting dark and left in the morning for another nice place.

Report Check-In

Lovely, quiet and secure. We paid 130q for our Westfalia van. Staff are friendly and helpful. When the electric shower head blew the fuse they fixed it right away. We spent an afternoon chilling on the awesome shady veranda attached to the hotel.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Stayed 5 nights. We were the only people here. Camp by the lake, water and electricity available. Dumping location as well. Big grassy field, incredible view! Walk to town and water taxis. Bus stop very close if you want to go to ChiChi market. Staff was friendly. 150q per night for 23’ rig. Use showers during daylight and they will be warmer as more power is available for the electric shower heads. Don’t miss Dina’s chocolates in town. A very knowledgeable native lady.

Report Check-In

We paid 150Q for our 24ft rig (without swimming pool :-)) we had a good time here, the place was perfect for our kids to play and run around. Bathrooms were very clean and the staff friendly. The rude management we didn‘t find it...

Report Check-In

We stayed at this place four nights. The reason being that the location is incredible beautiful, easy walk to town, immaculate clean toilets (though shower was barely luke warm). However management/responsible staff is very unfriendly and rude. Gate is always locked and only manger on duty has the key to let you drive out of the place. Everyone walking in has to go through the main office area, yes indeed it is save. One night our adult kids were in town and we invited them for dinner at the campsite. I informed the front staff that they will be coming through and was seriously told that this is not possible. Each person has to pay (75Q) to even enter the area.
Other Overlander friends were also calling us from the gate since they were not permitted in.
Suddenly this beautiful place felt more like a prison.
The hotel was completely empty and 1 other camper stayed, restaurant closed but everything completely clean and maintained as if the crowds would be arriving any time soon.
Strange place, so perfect if it just were true. Something does not add up here.
Paid 130Q for 2 people in a truck camper, can get electricity and fill up water tank as needed.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one day. We arrived and couldn't go to the campsite because of a wedding Party. ( no discount because we stayed just on the dirty parking lot till 6:45 pm) before we could do anything the Lady( Manager) said we need to pay before anything else. We are not allowed to use the pool. Just parking and shut up. they locked us in. I'm now 50 years old and I traveled a lot in my lifetime, but I never been treated so rude in a Hotel than here. It's a shame...I will not recommend this place. There are other possibility to camp in Pana. In that Hotel they must learn what's about guest relation and hospitality. not recommend.....

Great place in grass with a amazing see of atitlan lake
We stay 2 nights. Pool is cold but beautiful
The restaurant was closed
Very expensive but the staff is doing a price for children

Report Check-In

Very expensive place. They wanted 175q for a small motorhome. Not very friendly. We left and went to vision azul

Report Check-In

150Q to share one outlet with only 2 plug-ins, which means that one truck is parked in front of the other, blocking their view, is not worth it. Way too expensive. We ended up staying at the Parqueo de Los Colores next door.

Report Check-In

I want to leave this place a great review but the owner of this property really ruined it for us. we are in a 20ft camper and have 5 adults so we knew it wouldn't be cheap but they originally asked for 225 for our camper plus an extra 25 per extra person and then if we wanted to use the pools an extra 200 per night. we eventually talked them down to 225 with pool use. the second night we only had 2 people and didn't use the pool (our friends had a night in a hostel on the otherside of the lake). when we went to pay the second night they said it would be 225 even though we had less people and no pool use. the showers were also cold and the owner was incredibly rude to us. this campsite was more expensive than fancy Australian campsites or American spots!

Report Check-In

1 4runner, 1 tent, 1 person, 1 dog for 150q. Considering i paid that for a private room in Antigua, I felt this was very expensive!

Report Check-In

We are a 26' rig. They wanted to charge 150q a night. when we said we wanted to stay 7 nights they charged us 125/night. Pool is now open. Great location. Wi-Fi is slow and only works at hotel not campground. Clean bathrooms. Power is a little weak; our toaster and other electrical appliances take longer than usual. We were alone for first 3 nights then lots of overlanders.

Report Check-In

Convenient location close to town. Adding current rates. 100 Q for tent camping, 125 Q for small size camper, 150 Q for medium size camper, 175 Q for large size camper, 200 Q for extra large camper. Although there are no measurements that help define what size your camper/vehicle is. Our 4Runner was apparently a mid size camper which we disagree with. They decide to charge what they want. All prices should include internet, pool access and restroom access. The pool was being serviced when we got there. We asked for a discount but the person in charge did not accept. We left the place and camped at Bahia del Lago, a much nicer place.

Report Check-In

Nice place. We paid 125 Q per night for a "small" camper. Price goes up with the size of the camper.

Report Check-In

Same as above, the prices are posted on the wall at the hotel check in. It is based on size of the rig, not on how many people are camping. I spoke to two overlanders and they were able to renegotiate their longer stay. Yes it is a few Q`s more then the average, but I am looking at 3 volcanoes while having my morning coffee. Paid 125Q

Report Check-In

Expensive place. We paid for a big rig 200 Q/night. Nice view. Right at the waterfront. In walking distance to the town. And easy to catch a chicken bus or a water taxi. Recommendation: The market at Chichicastenango is great!

Report Check-In

I paid Q150 for a place at the waterfront. Amazing view of the volcanos

Report Check-In

We asked they wanted 175q for 2 of us to camp no onsite amenities we did not stay went elsewhere

Report Check-In

the beautiful view is the only good thing about this place! told us by checking the size of the car the price would be 100 Q / night, but charged us finally 125Q. Bathrooms are dirty and the whole site looks old and nasty. Staff at the reception is very unfriendly. The hotel charges 100US-dollar for a double room - rip off!! better take your time and go somewhere else around the lake!

Report Check-In

Poor choice. Dirty/abandoned bathrooms, water cut off mid use, and finally- electrocuted and burned from shower head. Hotel is essentially abandoned and paying Q125 is insulting. A receipt was not offered after a trip to the office, and after ten minutes, I just left to nurse my burn. I'm now at the other side of the lake paying Q50 which i-n-c-l-u-d-e-s a delightful breakfast and good company. There are much better options around the lake. I suggest staying elsewhere. We shouldn't reward sh#tty places. Happy traveling everyone!

Report Check-In

Nice location flat and quiet but cold showers and bathrooms in Hotel, a long walk from camp.we negotiated down to 160Q per night for 2 nights and then moved to cheaper nicer site next door.

Report Check-In

Hotel by the lake shore. Camping is right on the shore of the lake with great view. Power available from one double plug at the disused restaurant (you may have to ask them to turn it on). Cost is Q200 per night, open to bargaining. Water is available from a number of taps around the camping area. Hot showers and flush toilets available at hotel. Swimming pool in good condition. It looks like they are refurbishing the restaurant. Beautiful gardens and only 5 minutes walk to centre of town.
