Description

Parked right on the side of the big grassy city park town center. Tons of restaurants and little stores surround the plaza. Park is really nice and clean. There is a paid bathroom available. 5 minute walk to the pyramid/cathedral. Found a nice coffee shop to get WiFi from in the restaurants inside the plaza area under the arches in the park.

Parking spots are small, good for passenger cars and vw buses. Great trees for afternoon shade.

Costs 6 peso an hour, free after 8pm-8am. Parking attendant said we could stay the night. The meter only pays for a few hours, if you want to pay for the day just go to the hotel under the arches in the plaza on the far right, they can set you up for the full day. If you don’t pay they take your license plates till you pay the fine FYI.

Artist stalls and food vendors through the day. And a beautiful fountain. Lots of beautiful shady trees and plenty of benches.

And don’t forget to feed the squirrels, so friendly.

Latest Check-Ins

No need for an app, you can pay at different stores in the area (marked outside) 6 pesos per hour

Report Check-In

The town has switched over to an app based parking system. The app is NOT available in the Apple US App Store. Changing App Store regions requires jumping through a bunch of hoops (canceling subscriptions, changing payment method). Too much hassle for this iPhone user.

Returning for a couple more night and to enjoy the weekend here, it really is a great location with so much around.
