SPECIAL PLACE!
A hike of 1 hour to the most southern point of the mainland of Argentina. Here is a old light house even though the most southern lighthouse on the mainland South America.
Follow the horse path and you will find it.
Note: the path (there is no path ;-) ) is muddy, many loose stones and grass. Check the weather, it can change very fast. Bring water, rain cover with you.
Enjoy!!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
No one was working the station and there were no signs that access was not permitted. In fact, there are signs that make suggestions for those looking to enter and hike in the area.
No official trails on the peninsula, but once you catch the four wheel tracks paralleling the coast stick with them. Walking the large, loose beach rocks is a real drag.
Report Check-InThe trek is closed, the guy at the prefectura tell us, that’s forbidden now to go further. But if you’re kind with him, we can get wifi … 😊
Report Check-InNice trek, no path so you have to search sometimes.
It's not the most southern lighthouse there is a old one further along the coast (this probably is a full day trek, I did not do it)
Searching for the right paths it took us closer to 1 ½ hours.
We went to the lighthouse after one of the guy from the Armada told us it was possible so I guess it is a known hike.
It's 5km each way on wet grass or along the coast so it took us nearly 3h to do the complete.
The weather was very good, no wind until the end but even, it was a warm one.
Too many garbage from the sea so please dont add more.
