very cute and remote farm. we parked right near the fence to avoid the winds. Connected to electricity. Nice and clean bathroom with hot water. 20000$.

Report Check-In

Room in a cabana is 90$ usd
Dinner was quoted at 35$ usd

I was camping for 10$ usd with a tent which is reasonable, considering wind protection, clean bathrooms, hot showers and fast internet, but a washboard road that leads here, making it a 1hr detour is a turnoff.
I’ve been shown a kitchen to use to prepare my breakfast which I paid 20$ usd to the owner for 6 eggs, a tomato, onion and some bread. I was expecting them to cook it for that price, but I was left with a pan in a kitchen to do it myself.
For dinner I cooked food I bought at a grocery store in town, but in the morning I was given passive aggressive attitude from the old man who owns this place and scolded by his wife for using kitchen as apparently I misunderstood that kitchen is not offered for campers. Which is fine, but it could have been handled in a civilised and polite manner
Being scolded by a couple of old folks in a middle of nowhere who think that they are the the best, smartest and successful people ever is not something I like to experience on a rtw trip
I wouldn’t come here for a cabana or a meal for what it is.
For camping it’s ok

Very nice small campground with good and clean facilities and nice owners. paid ten US dollars per person. 1,5 hour horse riding was also 10 USD. good wifi also.

Report Check-In

Price is now 8,000.- per person. Campervans can stand wherever they want, no special place. Price is the same, basically 8,000.- for the shower...

Report Check-In

Very nice place, but prices gone up to 1700 pesos per person!! Discussed it with the wife of the owner but it is all because of the devaluation of the pesos. As it is 25 km dirt road to get here we decided to stay just for one night 🙁 dinner is offered, 1700 pesos per person. We are the only guests. Dinner was very good, a lot of delicious food, home made. We ate in the house of the owners, had a nice interesting conversation about the house and their way of living specially in winter.

Report Check-In

A wonderful place. Staying here is 600 pp/ 10$ and if there are enough people dinner for 27 $
We bought some Empenadas and eggs.
If the generator is on (evening and short time in the morning) there is good WiFi. very hot shower in the morning.

Report Check-In

The estancia is beautifully located. We stayed one night and joined for diner. The food (Patagonian lamb) was delicious as were the vegetable dishes. Prices were different from what we expected after reading the comments in this app: campsite usd 10 pp, diner usd 27 pp (excl drinks). When we kindly asked how it was possible that prices were so different from what other people paid, the lady of the house reacted highly surprised (almost offended). We felt that this was not ok.

Spent a very quiet night here. Most tranquil environment, watch the various animals and enjoy the fauna gentle moving in the wind. The owner gave us the price of $10 pppn which during our visit translated into 600 pesos pppn. Certainly expensive. Everything else as described. We were able to fill our truck camper with water. Wifi worked mostly.

Report Check-In

the price have gone up to 650pp for a camp spot (windy, no nice spots for cars) and 1700pp for a set menu dinner. we were keen to pay for a nice estencia stay but this is too far and didn't seem that nice.
We visited the facilities and they have nothing special. makes me wonder the veracity of the previous comments.

Report Check-In

The whole season for the estancia Is from October 20th 2019 to march 20th 2020. We also do have internet.

Report Check-In

One of the few places to camp. The best bathrooms we have seen sofar on our trip through Chile and Argentina. Nice animals around but business today is tourism.
Dinner 1000 pp. Camping 400 pp. Nafta +50% compared to station prices.

Report Check-In

We reached this place at 20:30 to find out it was occupied by 18 motorcyclists for whom the cooks grilled a lamb, Patagonian style (on a cross). The lamb was big enough for 20, so we enjoyed the hospitality of the owners.

The prices are quoted in US dollars and then converted into pesos. Camping in our roof tent outside the fence was 450 ARP per person (12 USD). The three course, tasty and sufficient meal (excluding drinks) was 900 ARP per person (23.5 USD).

While the owner started a guitar and singing performance after dinner, I enjoyed the excellent, clean, hot shower.

The owner may have gone from farmer to hôtelier and he may have a nose for money, he is a great host. The motorcyclists were served breakfast and ... gasoline! A tip for other motorcyclists: maybe he sells fuel to individual travelers as well.

We would come again once we have enough money.

Report Check-In

So now they want ARG$400 per person!! Such a rip off, this place is ready not worthed that kind of money.
Clearly we didn't stay.

Report Check-In

400 pesos per person! We parked on the gravel road and pitched our RTT. We had access to the clean bathrooms and camping space which had a few picnic tables and a sink to wash dishes. We saw a couple that rented a Cabana, not sure the price. The drive from routa 40 was about an hour going south, parts of it washboard, routa 29 would have been better and faster. The animals we saw were cute, but the unexpected price and the 1hr detour each way on gravel roads for a spot to open our tent maybe wasn't worth it for us. They were very friendly however.

Report Check-In

Lovely little farm with welcoming hosts (we arrived at 10:30pm with only Chilean pesos). Beautiful spot, lots of farm animals and flamingo and skunks! Hot hot showers, clean nice toilets.

Report Check-In

Please note: closed from March 23rd to October 15th.
Delicious dinner for 600pp

Report Check-In

Great place with wind protection. To get there you have to take the Ruta Provincial 29 which is a 70 km long gravel road with a lot of wind. The camping place comes after 30km on the gravel road if you come from north. 180 ppp for camping. nice showers! nice view! they also sell beer and wine.

Report Check-In

I hate to disagree with the majority opinion but I cannot recommend the place. It sells itself as an agro-touristic business but it practices big city prices. You can't do that... or can you...?! In addition, the camping area only offers good wind protection along the fence from the direction of the wind... one can tell that direction from the permanent inclination of the trees.

It is an amazing place. We could park our car with rooftent in a windprotected place. Very clean bathroom with hotshowers for 180 P pP. They don't charge for children, even not for Dinner. That was excellent. It is 540 P pP and we had a bottle of very good Malbec for 120 P. They have nice rooms with private bath or Dormys with shared bathroom aswell. What we have seen was all very clean and nice. Flamingos came for pictutes ;)
Horses and sheep were around all the time.
We could highly recommend this place.
The owners are very friendly

Report Check-In

good spot to stay one night. best bathrooms seen so far. Space to cook but
no shelter to protect from the rain. no refugee neither. gravel road in good condition to access the site

Report Check-In

beautiful farm, amazing sunset! great showers. but the way to the place is a long dirt track, something to keep in mind!

Report Check-In

If you are traveling to El Chalten, El Calefate -or vise versa- along the ruta 40, you MUST visit this place. It may not be the cheapest but it's well worth it!

The estancia is beautiful, the animals lovely, the showers impeccably clean and hot and they serve a 3 course meal for 180 ARS.

They have spots for tents but vans and rigs can be parked right next to the campground.

And the flamingo's showed up as well :-).

Report Check-In

A beautiful location, with some flamingoes! We stayed one night and bought milanesa, lettuce and cherries from the owner. The road out to the estancia is average but long. Showers are on demand and hot!
We payed 260 pp, approximately 17 USD pp.
