Latest Check-Ins

Im in a camper van and parked on the block of Bigfoot hostel and Via Via hostel. My water pump clogged and I was able to use Bigfoot shower & bathrooms for $5/day. I traveled with my dog and while they don’t want dogs on site, they allowed me to bring her in and tie her to a post while I showered, they made sure to tell me I was responsible for any accidents or incidents she had.

When I arrived during the day the block was very busy and there was no parking. The staff at Bigfoot told me to try at night and around 8p it was pretty empty and I easily parked a dodge camper for 3 days without moving it. It is a very active and brightly lit street. I stayed because I was traveling solo for a few days and wanted the visibility for my van. Bigfoot also has cameras in case something happens. But beware, Bigfoot is a party hostel- every. single. night. - and Via Via has live music in Fridays. Overall it worked for shower access and for feeling comfortable leaving my van all day and feeling safe at night.

Right in front of the bigfoot hostel, they proposed me to stay there under the safety of their crew. I don't pay nothing, they even didn't ask me to participate at any of their event, I'll do it from myself.
There I can use bathroom freely and for 5$, I have access to the pool, the showers, the all place. Their wifi is very good, the mood of the place also.
Well the place is not big, for my combi VW is great but biggest vans won't fit

This in an hostel for fiesta, it means if you don't do it with them, be sure that you can sleep with a lot of noise until midnight, because the street is also very noisy from 6am... don't go there to sleep quietly

Great place for a stop in Leon. Super friendly and helpful team. Cheap dorms, fun tours and easy access to nice food nearby.

We’re traveling by car, but took a dorm for a for a couple of nights so we could see Leon and get some laundry done. There’s no official parking but if you’re lucky you might find a space on the street like we did - we managed to park right outside and just asked the night security to keep an eye on the car for us.

Laundry was two doors along at another hostel. Reasonably priced.

We stayed at a cheaper, quieter hostel across the street (just ask around to all hostels on this block, someone is going to have a great deal without the party). Good news is the street pays for overnight security, just ask your hostel and they can confirm. Then ask the security guy to pay attention to your vehicle, then ask how much the tip is. Easy

We showed up here after a long day of driving and border crossings from El Salvador and it was definitely more of a party hostel than a place to recoup. I mean I am 27 and felt like I was 10 years too old to be here. $25 for private room with a fan but very hot. Nice facility but we ended up going to lazybones hostel.
