Mexico
Large camping ground with manicured lawns by the river, waterfalls and pools for bathing, grills, baths, showers. Sr Nacho the manager and his wife Carla are lovely helpful people. $70 mex per person. The best price in the zone. Food stores a few hundred meters in the town of Tamasopo.

We spent 3 weeks at this campground total. It is a very beautiful and well maintained campground with an amazing scenery and perfect little waterfall and area to swim and cool off on a hot day. Nacho is very friendly and fair camp attendant. We paid $70 pp and its an extra 100pesos of you want the extension cord for power.
Report Check-InWhat a great spot. We ended up staying for almost 2 weeks with our 3 kids. They loved climbing, jumping off the waterfall, the swing in the water and just thr peaceful please. The weekends are a little bit busier. Not the best showers. We came from the usa border and this was a good first stop for us.
We paid 210. 70pp. (2 kids for free)
Prices are going up first of januari. I will add a picture with new prices. (100pp)
We loved this place! We camped right beside the river and had plenty of level space. Our kids loved the rope swing, kayaks, exploring the waterfalls and turtle spotting. Nacho is super friendly and helpful. It is walking distance from Cascades de Tamasopo and adjacent (on the opposite side of the river) to El Trampolin. We were able to empty our tanks and fill up on water before heading off. I’d highly recommend it!
Report Check-InStayed for one night and was 70 pesos per person and if you want electricity is more 50 pesos. A very nice guy received us (it wasn’t the owner). Place with a nice little cascade. Quite and safe.
Report Check-InEl atrancon , the binge in English is a lovely place run by the most welcoming and artistic couple .
Carla and Nacho are admirable people, their patience has almost no limits !
70 pesos person , rig included, the best price in the whole region .
Thank you again for your genuine presence, Carla and Nacho!.
Juan y su mujer son muy amables y agradables.
El lugar es increíble, limpio y bien cuidado.
A 1 km del centro de Agua Buena donde encuentras de todo.
Muy recomendable!
Beautiful good value spot but with cautions. After 3 days of swimming here I have a terrible sinus infection and my boyfriend bad earache caused by bacteria. The water is contaminated as are many Mexican waterways. If you do swim head to the source ie. cascadas.
DOGOVERLANDERS
The Argentine campsite owner threw large rocks at our dogs as they were barking at other people at the campsite. He could hear me whistling them back but continued to throw them. Both are rescue puppies we found unwell and kept alive. Not the best feeling. They don’t love dogs here. I’ve been caring for a mother and her 4 day old puppies here but today am calling a dog rescue to help as I don’t want to leave them here. It’s not safe.
Beautiful campground and very reasonable price ($70 pesos per person). There’s a camper area to the left and a tent area to the right and both are right next to the river which is very pretty! (It’s Gatorade blue). We were the only campers so we had a decent sized lagoon with a little waterfall all to ourselves ☺️ Also has toilets and cold showers which were very nice in the heat and humidity.
Report Check-InAmazing place and value, probably the best we've seen throughout the Huasteca!
Still 70$ per person per night, which is a very good value when you consider that you are just in front of your own piece of river and waterfalls, where you can swim and chill, the place is very well maintained and beautiful, and there are flush toilets and showers (cold, but considering the temperature its actually a plus 🤣)
Nacho the manager is a wonderful and attentive host...and has a lot of recomendations on cool hikes and off the beaten path things in the area - so practice your Spanish because its truly worth it to chat with him! His partner Carla is also very sweet...
All in all, great great place. We were going to stay 1 night and ended up staying 5...
This place is amazing, incredibly scenic as you park right next to falls. By day you can explore the waterfalls/rope swings/natural pools on the property. Water is a bit warmer downstream from the campsite. 70 mxp pp per night.
Moreover I couldn’t agree more with other posters about Nacho (guy who has run the camp for the last couple years). He’s such an affable guy that you instantly love him!
Updated the GPS location to reflect the entrance of the campsite (down the street from the cabanas sign).
We stayed two nights in this wonderful place with our RV majestic 24ft long ! The owner "Nacho" is super friendly (5 stars host)! We ask for the wifi to the hotel next to the camping and the owner agree for 30 pesos per day!
Report Check-InAmazon place near “7 Cascades”. One cascade over the camp with a natural pool! So nice! Nothing else on the spot but don the need more!
Have to pass “cabanas tamasopo” and take the first dirty road on the left.
We paid 150$M for one night with a rv
Amazon spot! Increible! Parked just in front of the cascade! Very quiet. We went to walk around at “7 cascades” just behind the camp: AMAZING! Look like paradise! We stayed there 3 nights instead of 1!
Report Check-InSpent 10 days here, parked next to the river in my 21ft rv. Felt very safe, left the back doors open during the night as it was hot. Many families come to camp with their tents along the river. It is truely a beautiful area. And yes nacho has a system that you can dump your black water, nacho doesn’t speak any English and is very nice but maybe a little shy?
Bathrooms and showers are ok 👍
The campground is in between the venue google map takes you to the river, drive approx 300 meters more pass the google maps indication and look for the sign/photo and take the dirt road in the left side, the road almost looks like a road going into the field this road is a short 300m rd which you will then see the camping
I agree with all the previous comments, a great place next to the river. I will add a photo of a sign. Google maps will actually take you to cabanas tamaposa which only has casitas the river and camping is behind these cabanas.
Drive approx 200 meters pass the google maps destination and you will see the sign on the left side of the road, opposite the sign is the turn on the right side, a shoe drive down the unpaved road your on the river. It’s now 70 pesos per person per night
Like others have mentioned, best priced campsite, but more importantly right on the river and a very friendly host. Gave us many suggestions for places to visit in Sierra Gorda. Pretty busy on the weekend, especially on the other riverbank.
Report Check-InTaco, the owner is very friendly. He asked 150 pesos for 2 adults 2 children 7 and 10 years old and RV. Possibility to swing in a natural pool or river. It’s nice because it’s 42 degrees Celsius! Nice spot near puente de Dios very beautiful for swimming and refreshing! And quite night
Report Check-InWe spend 3 nights here, was really calm! You can park in front of the waterfall and go for a swim whenever you want! Can't really understand why people pay so much in others Campground.. This is for sure worth the price, 50pesos Pp per night! Nacho was really nice and helpful! Toilets are not the best, but for what we need them it's ok! Showers only cold water. You can refill your water tank. You can walk to the city, it's 2.4km one way, and we also walked to the "puente do Dios" but that a longer walk, 12km in total. Little village at 700mt if you walk left on the main road where you can find vegetables and fruits. Good Telcel coverage and level spot!
Bm.aroundtheworld from Switzerland
As described below. Clean and quiet although you hear the exercise class next door for a bit in the evening and morning. Dogs are around, but no problems. You have a private waterfall. Nacho aka Memo is very helpful. 3 bars Telcel 3G. I would not park your rig near the picnic table and grill because people will just set up in front of you. There is ?? power but we did not need it.
Report Check-InAs described below- super amazing spot right on the River. You can swim from your campsite. We paid 100 pesos for two for one night. Basic bathrooms. Dog friendly.
Report Check-Insuper endroit.
Report Check-InAs described in previous reviews. Gorgeous place to hang for a day or a Month! Entrance is a dirt road through banana trees for a hundred meters beginning at 21.94840 , -99.39334. You won’t actually see the camp until you are in there. We are a 26’ Class A, and went in with ease. An amigo just pulled in with a 30’ bumper pull. He went passed, then turned around and came back in from the Agua Buena side to make the entrance corner; then it was no problem. The owner Mr. Nacho now has infrastructure to unload your black water. We tested it out today!
Report Check-InNacho allowed us to use his sewer system to dump our tanks. He is also installing a pipe to extend access closer to the driveway.
Report Check-InNearly eight years of full-time travel, and this is the most beautiful campground we’ve ever stayed at. The sites themselves are simple—some grassy options, which is nice. Ours had a picnic table, another had a hammock. But the real draw is you are parked right next to a turquoise river with waterfalls, and it was delightful for swimming even in the middle of November. Nacho and the lady there (so sorry I forgot your name!!) are kind and helpful hosts. The bathrooms are simple, but serviceable. We didn’t use the showers here. Walked to La Villa for dinner and really enjoyed watching the activities of the town.
Report Check-InGreat choice in the Tamasopo area. big grassy field right on a small branch of the torqoiuse river with its own waterfall and pools that you camp right in front of. $50 MX/pp for camping, a great bargain! Bathrooms are very clean, cold showers. Some other campers arranged for electric, not sure the cost and paid a neighbor for internet. Our T-Mobile phones work pretty good. Any size rig, no height issues or tight turns. Nacho is super nice. Highly recommend!
Report Check-InJust as described, super beautiful place close to Ponte de Dios and Cascada de Tamasopo.
Nacho is super friendly and kind and he will give you all the right tips to not miss out the beauties of the area.
50M$ p.p./night, we really liked it here!
Large camping ground with manicured lawns by the river, waterfalls and pools for bathing, grills baths showers. In front of the trampoline. Sr Nacho the manager and his wife Carla lovely people always willing. $ 50.- mex per person per day includes spending the night. The best price of the zone. Due to the pandemic we stayed here for 30 days. Food stores a few hundred meters in the town of Tamasopo.
Report Check-InVery nice place to spend the night. Small cascade. Access to a lot more in the terrain behind. River with water a little warmer. Very nice swimming. Cold showers and toilets. Private domain, but okay to camp for 50 pp.
