Something not right?

Description

This is a gem of a campground run by the county that has about 10 rv/tent sites with electric, water and sewer all nicely laid out and spaced on flat land dotted with trees. Campsites are $15.00 per night. Although the sites are spacious there are no pull throughs.
This park is named for the mineral springs located there. There are several hand pumps that the public can use if they want to take mineral water home with them. Unfortunately when we were there they had been flooded in recent rains and unusable. We stopped here for lunch but did not stay because it was too early to stop for the day. And at this time of the year there was not a soul around. Payment must be by check because it is just an envelope slot into the office and they don't want cash laying around.

Possible seasonal closures.

Latest Check-Ins

Just as described. Very quiet and peaceful. Full hookups for $15.00, although the water was not working at my site. I thought maybe it was seasonal, but I tried a few other sites and the water was on. The bathrooms were locked also. Just be aware, they do Not accept cash or card. Checks only.

Definitely a gem but with some quirks. Full hook ups are $20 a night, but there are signs around about no alcohol, not sure if that applies to the campground but we kept it out of sight. Tried the mineral water, very metallic, maybe from the pump or just the taste of it. Manager is a good guy, he has this job and another county job so he isn’t around much. Payment is on the honor basis, at least this time, must pay by cheque or money oder and into a drop box. Currently in site 9, after we got set up I found the water spigot is adventurous, when moving from full off to full on it squirts out the side. Shopping tomorrow so might change sites, we are the only ones here.

Stopped there Dec. 27th. Park was open m, but campground gate was locked. No contact numbers. Ran into a local who said “Bobby” would be by to lock emthe gate. We “dry camped” overnight on the entrance road. Everything worked out fine, but would suggest you get in touch with someone if you want to use the campground.
