Update 04/2022: R40 from here to San Antonio very well maintained. Normal passenger cars drive to the bridge.

Do not take these two roads to the viaduct. It took us about an hour to do the 12km. The road is not usable at parts because of landslides so you need to turn into the riverbed a few times. It’s very narrow (we had inches to spare with our toyota 4Runner), very bumpy and very steep. Without 4x4 and high clearance we would definitely not have made it. When we were going down we saw another road. Took us 10 minutes to get down on that road, super easy! Coming from San Antonio drive about 10km (not exactly sure) beyond this point and then turn right up the hill.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
