Something not right?

Description

We slept here 4 nights with no problems at all. Police drive past every hour or so but if you remain fairly quiet, like we did, they don't stop.
It is more quiet than other areas along this street as it is in front of housing and a large grassy area. Still some noise though. It is right near the dock with public access to the lagoon and for us was the perfect safe place for us to sleep and leave our van during the day to explore.
It was a great free area with many places to park available and we totally recommend it.

Stayed here for three nights. A couple of other overlanders were parked for an extended time too. The bathroom is in the corner restaurant right opposite of boat launch. They open early so can use it.
During the weekend and the day it gets really busy. Fri and Sat loud music. Better to park it away from the boat launch or you will get distracted at night.
pontoon boat tour are 400 pesos. Every day guys stand on the street and sell. Beautiful lake. Enjoy. police patrol everywhere, no problem on this street anywhere.

Thought we’d found paradise but while swimming I picked up the limestone at the bottom of the lagoon and it stinks of sewage !!! I Have since read that hotels pump sewage into the lagoon. There’s an awful sewage stink in this street at the moment too and in the mangroves. Plus this area is on the brink of an ecological tragedy made worse by us swimming which we didn’t realise before visiting. Do your research before coming to check water conditions and how to help protect the environment.

On Tuesday we slept here. It's very quiet at night, nobody's bother us. To the next day there are workers during the day.

Réception AT&T bonne.
