Tennessee is an awful State for boon-docking. Avoid spending your money there. only stay in places that you were 100% sure that you will be OK. You can be arrested for sleeping in your car.

New signs added stating no overnight parking

As clean, roomy and quiet as everyone else has noted. We did the eastbound turnaround route. Including the westbound turnaround the next morning,it only adds an extra ten(+) miles to the trip. Well worth the drive, easily the best of the four stops we used on our trip.

Great rest area close to Memphis. We parked our 22-foot Class B overnight here. There’s lots of tourist brochures inside, as well as a cool exhibit on solar power. Clean restrooms.

Report Check-In

It’s quieter than other rest stops because the parking area is not only far from highway but because it’s also blocked from the sound waves of traffic by a mound that separates the two. Very smart engineering or maybe just by luck? I’m betting smart - what with the progressive solar panel farm that’s also built on the property. :-)

Beautiful area, tons of space, and clean bathrooms. Far back from the highway so it's nice and quiet.

Nice rest stop! Lots of parking. Good bathrooms. There’s some nice grassy area as well.
Only accessible from W bound on 40, towards Memphis. If you pass it on E 40, you get off at the next exit and come back.

Nice bathrooms, slept in van in huge parking lot, used outdoor hose in rear of building for solar shower bag, giant tourism booklet selection
